Long Walkthrough

Ready to embark on a mystical journey to join the Moon Clan? Let's break this quest down piece by piece. This walkthrough will guide you through every detail, from your first steps in Rellekka to mastering the Dream World.
Part 1 - Getting Started
Items needed:
- Tinderbox
- Bullseye lantern (must be already functional and fillable) Note: If you have a bullseye lantern (unf) in your bank, bring it along as the Cabin Boy won't give you one otherwise.
Start by heading over to the westernmost dock in Rellekka - that's where you'll find Lokar Searunner. He'll tell you about this mysterious Moon Clan, but you'll need some credentials before you can visit them. Pop into the longhall and chat with Brundt the Chieftain for a seal of passage.
Quick tip: Don't ever lose that seal of passage once you get it. If you do, you'll get booted off the island faster than you can say "Moon Clan." Even worse, if you've got a placeholder for it in your bank, Brundt won't give you another until you clear that placeholder.
Head back to Lokar and he'll ferry you to Pirates' Cove. From there, climb up the ladder to board the ship.
Captain Bentley's Conundrum
Talk to Captain Bentley and ask about Lunar Isle. Watch as the ship just sails in circles - something's clearly not right here. After chatting with the captain again, head down below deck to talk with 'Birds-Eye' Jack, the navigator. You'll need to bounce between the captain and Jack a couple times before you discover there's a jinx on the ship.
The Crew Investigation

Now comes the fun part - you'll need to talk to the crew members in a very specific order. Think of it as pulling threads on a sweater - do it wrong and everything unravels. Here's who you need to chat with, and where to find them:
- 'Eagle-eye' Shultz - He's up on the captain's deck, hanging out at the very front of the ship. He'll give you some insight into these jinxes.
- The Cabin Boy - Find him one deck up from the captain, toward the south. Doesn't look like much trouble, does he?
- 'Beefy' Burns - Take a bit of a hike for this one. Head down two decks, go north, then down another set of stairs. You'll find him in the galley (that's ship-speak for kitchen).
- 'Lecherous' Lee - All the way up on the highest deck, at the back of the ship.
- First mate 'Davey-boy' - Back on the captain's deck, in the south room.
- Finally, back to our friend the Cabin Boy - Make sure you've got two free inventory spots for this chat.
The Lantern Puzzle
Here's where things get tricky. The Cabin Boy will confess to the jinx and hand you an emerald lens and possibly an unfinished lantern. Listen up, because this next part is crucial:
Use the emerald lens on the bullseye lantern you brought with you - not the unfinished one from the Cabin Boy. If you mess up and put it on the wrong lantern, just drop it and ask the Cabin Boy for another lens.
Now, if you didn't bring a working lantern (we've all been there), here's your backup plan:
- Grab some swamp tar from the barrel in 'Birds-Eye' Jack's room or the dock
- Head to Rimmington and use the Chemist's lamp oil still
- Get that lantern working and pop the emerald lens on
Breaking the Ship's Jinx
With your emerald lantern lit and ready, it's time to hunt down five sneaky symbols hidden around the ship. Think of it as a supernatural scavenger hunt - you'll need to use your lantern on specific spots to reveal each symbol. Here's where to look:
The Big Metal One
First up is the eastern cannon near where our friend the Cabin Boy hangs out. If it doesn't work on that one, try the other cannon - these pirates apparently like to move their cannons around.
The Wallchart
Head to the First Mate's cabin on the captain's deck. Look for the wallchart on the north-western wall. Use your lantern on it and watch what happens.
The Hidden Chest
Time to go down to the lowest deck. Look for the northern chest near the stairs. That eerie green glow from your lantern should reveal something interesting.
The Supporting Evidence
While you're on the lowest deck, find the support column near our cook, 'Beefy' Burns. Another symbol should show itself.
The Crafty Crate
Last but not least, check out those two stacked crates near the cook's area. Use your lantern on them to reveal the final symbol.
Tips:
- Make sure you've wiped away each symbol after finding it
- The order doesn't matter, but you need all five to break the jinx
- If you think you've missed one, double-check each location - they can be tricky to spot
Once you've cleared all five symbols, head back up to Captain Bentley. With the jinx broken, he can finally sail you to Lunar Isle - and this time without going in circles!
Welcome to Lunar Isle
Keep that seal of passage handy - seriously, don't bank it. The Moon Clan folks aren't too welcoming to outsiders, and without that seal, they'll teleport you back to Rellekka faster than you can say "Sorry!"
First Steps on the Isle
When you first walk into the city, you'll get a nice little cutscene showing you around. Don't get too comfortable though - those level 111 Suqah outside the city walls aren't just there for decoration. They're particularly nasty on the north side of the island, where they can hit you with both magic and melee attacks.
The good news? There's a bank and a general store in town, so you can restock if needed.
Finding the Oneiromancer

Head to the south-eastern part of the island where you'll find the Oneiromancer near the Astral Altar. She'll tell you you're going to need three things, and they have to be done in a specific order. No shortcuts here!
The Waking Sleep Potion Items needed:
- Guam leaf
- Marrentill
- Pestle and mortar
- Suqah tooth
- Combat gear (for killing Suqah)
First up, find the chicken house in the northern part of the city - you can't miss it, it actually walks around on chicken legs! Inside, you'll meet Baba Yaga, who'll give you a special vial. Here's what you need to do:
- Fill the vial at any water source nearby
- Kill Suqah until you get a tooth (Pro tip: Use the tree near the Oneiromancer to safespot them)
- While you're killing Suqah, keep their hides - you'll need 4 later
- Grab any guam and marrentill herbs they drop
- Add the guam and marrentill to the vial
- Crush the tooth with your pestle and mortar
- Add the ground tooth to complete the potion
Creating Your Lunar Staff
Here's a pro tip before we start: If you want multiple lunar staves (and trust me, you might), now's the time to make them. After this part, you'll have to pay 30,000 coins each for extras.
Items needed:
- Dramen staff (bring extras if you want multiple lunar staves)
- Access to all four elemental altars (via talismans, tiaras, or the Abyss)
- Some teleportation method (glory amulet or dueling ring recommended)
The Altar Tour You'll need to take your dramen staff on a little journey to all four elemental altars, in this exact order:
Air Altar
- Located south of Falador
- Quickest route: Teleport to Crafting Guild with skills necklace, run east
- Alternative: Falador teleport, run south-west from southern gates
Fire Altar
- Found north-east of Al Kharid
- Best route: Ring of dueling to Emir's Arena, run north
- Alternative: Run east from Lumbridge or take the gnome glider
Water Altar
- In Lumbridge Swamp
- Fastest way: Use fairy ring to Zanaris, exit via ring near chicken shrine
- Alternative: Run south-west from Lumbridge graveyard
Earth Altar
- North-east of Varrock
- Quick route: Lumberyard teleport, run south-east
- Alternative: Varrock teleport and run north-east
Important Notes:
- Your staff will change names at each step (Lunar staff pt 1, pt 2, etc.)
- You can't equip the staff until you've completed the full set of lunar clothes
- If using fairy rings, keep one regular dramen staff for transport
- Make ALL your lunar staves before giving one to the Oneiromancer
Ceremonial clothes
Ready to look the part of a Moon Clan member? You'll need to craft eight different pieces of lunar equipment, and each one's got its own little adventure. Let's tackle them one by one.
Items needed:
- Seal of passage
- 400 coins
- Pickaxe and hammer
- Needle and 2 pieces of thread
- Combat gear for fighting Suqah
The Helm Hunt First up, we need to head to a rather unfriendly mine in the north-east of the island. You'll notice some Suqah blocking the path - and these aren't your regular garden variety monsters. They can hit you with Ice Barrage, so bring some food and be ready to run.
Once you make it to the mine, grab your pickaxe and look for any stalagmite. Here's a time-saving tip: if you're planning to do The Fremennik Exiles later, mine three extra ores now. Save yourself a trip back to this lovely spot.
Got your ore? Great! Now you'll need to make a quick trip to Rellekka to smelt and smith it. If you need a fast way back, just destroy your seal of passage and talk to any Moon Clan member - they'll be happy to teleport you right out. Just remember to grab another seal from Brundt before coming back!
The Three P's: Pauline, Polaris, and Puzzles Head to the north-western side of the village to find Pauline Polaris. Now here's where it gets interesting - you need to guess her real name. Start with "Pauline" (seems obvious, right?), then after she gives you a clue, go with "Jane Blud-Hagic-Maid". Who comes up with these names?
Meteora and Her Missing Tiara

Time for some Suqah hunting! Find Meteora in the southern part of the village. She's got a problem - seems one of those Suqah has nabbed her tiara. Nothing's ever simple with these Moon Clan folks, is it?
You'll need to kill Suqah until you get the tiara back. This might take five or more kills, so settle in. While you're at it, collect their hides - you'll need four of them for the next part. Once you've got the tiara, trade it to Meteora for her amulet.
Making the Lunar Outfit Now for the crafting part. Find Rimae Sirsalis at the clothes shop. She'll tan those Suqah hides you collected for 100 coins each. Make sure you've got your needle and thread ready - you'll be making four pieces:
- A lunar torso
- A pair of lunar gloves
- Some lunar boots
- And lunar trousers
Pro tip: If you haven't got needle and thread, Rimae sells them right there in the shop.
The Ring Riddle The final piece is a bit tricky. Talk to Selene in the village center. She'll give you a riddle about flowers - turns out what you're looking for is at the south-west edge of the island. Take your spade and head past those two bridges. You'll see some blue flowers - dig there for your ring.
WARNING: Don't forget to complete the dialogue after digging, or you won't get the ring!
Taking it to the Oneiromancer Time to show off your new wardrobe! Take everything back to the Oneiromancer. Make sure you've got 11 free inventory spots - she'll give you all your items back plus some extras for the next part of your adventure. No space? No items. Simple as that.
Part 3 - The Dream World

You've got your lunar gear, a mystic potion, and you're ready to enter the world of dreams. But before we dive in, let's make sure you're properly equipped.
Items needed:
- Your seal of passage (don't bank it!)
- All 9 pieces of lunar equipment
- Tinderbox
- The soaked kindling
- Combat runes (about 40 Fire Bolt casts should do it)
- Some food for emergencies
Important note: You can't use any other combat gear in the Dream World - no staves, no armor, nothing. Though for some reason, godbooks and the Tome of Fire are fair game. The Moon Clan works in mysterious ways.
Getting Started First things first - head to the bank and stock up. Here's a crucial tip: don't bank that seal of passage, or you'll be making an annoying trip to another bank to get it back.
Find that long building on the western side of the village - you can't miss it, it's got a ceremonial brazier and a staircase inside. Now, this next part is important: make sure you're wearing ALL your lunar gear, including the staff. Forget one piece and your kindling goes to waste. Sure, you can get more from the Oneiromancer, but why make extra work?
Light up that brazier, add your soaked kindling, and welcome to the Dream World! If you happen to disconnect or log out, don't panic - your progress is saved, but you'll need more kindling to get back in.
The Ethereal Being will be waiting for you on the central platform. They've got six puzzles for you to solve. Think of it as a very strange game show, but with magic and floating platforms.
The Six Dream Challenges

- A Game of Chance Let's start with the south-western platform - it's all about dice. The Ethereal Fluke will call out numbers, and you need to match them using your dice. Sounds simple? Well, there's a trick to it.
- Center dice are always 1 or 6
- East dice are 4 or 3
- West dice are 5 or 2
- Starting total is always 21
- Flipping 1 adds 5
- Flipping 2 adds 3
- Flipping 3 adds 1
- Flipping 4 subtracts 1
- Flipping 5 subtracts 3
- Flipping 6 subtracts 5
- Number Games Head to the south-eastern purple platform for this brain-teaser. The Ethereal Numerator will show you number sequences, and you've got to figure out what comes next. For example, if you see "1, 4, 2, 5", you need to complete it with "3, 6". Keep going until you get 5-6 sequences right. Getting the same sequence twice? That's normal - just solve it again.
- Woodcutting Challenge The north-eastern blue platform hosts a simple challenge. First to stack 20 logs wins.
Pro tip: If you're short on inventory space, just cut a few logs at a time. Just remember - once you hit 20 logs, those items on the ground? They're staying there. - Memory Test This tricky one's on the north-western gray platform. Think of it as "don't step on the lava" but in dreamland. Here's the deal: You need to jump across floating Dream Puffs to cross a chasm. The catch? Some will collapse and send you back to start. You've got to remember the safe path - each platform either holds or folds, and there's no middle ground.
- The Dream Race Over on the eastern platform, you'll find a good old-fashioned obstacle course. The goal? Beat the Ethereal Expert to the finish line.
- Keep your run energy on
- Each failed hurdle hits you for 8 damage
- You've got to clear four hurdles total
- Bringing some food isn't a bad idea
- Consider an agility potion if your level's on the low side
- Copy Cat Last but not least, the south-eastern green platform hosts what's basically a magical game of Simon Says. The Ethereal Mimic will perform an emote, and you just need to copy it. After each successful copy, they'll teleport to a new spot. Find them, and do it all again. Five correct emotes and you're done. Simple as that.
The Final Showdown
Once you've conquered all six challenges, it's time to face "Me". Yes, that's their name - the Moon Clan isn't big on creative naming.
Here's what you need to know about the fight:
- Level 79 opponent
- Can be safespotted
- You'll get teleported around occasionally (more annoying than dangerous)
- Their chat is actually pretty entertaining - worth paying attention to
Defeating "Me"

If you hop in and the fight doesn't start after the white screen, don't panic - just try again. Sometimes dropping your axe and picking it back up helps, or dropping it before talking to the guide. The Dream World can be a bit picky about these things.
- Keep Protect from Magic on
- Fire Bolt works great at 65 Magic
- You can't change equipment, but combat runes are fair game
- A god book or Tome of Fire can give you an edge
- Stay above half health - better safe than sorry
Once "Me" goes down, head back to the center and chat with the Ethereal Being one last time. They'll let you use the lectern to return to the real world.
Finishing Up
The hard part's over! Just find the Oneiromancer (with your seal of passage equipped, of course) and wrap things up.
Quick Tip: Before you leave Lunar Isle, consider unlocking the Ourania Teleport spell. Just switch to the Lunar spellbook at the altar next to the Oneiromancer before visiting Baba Yaga.
