What Is Honkai Star Rail?

Honkai: Star Rail combines the world-building and visual identity of HoYoverse's Genshin Impact with a fully turn-based combat system built around Paths, Elements, and team synergy. There are currently nine playable Paths — Destruction, The Hunt, Erudition, Harmony, Nihility, Preservation, Abundance, Remembrance, and the recently added Elation — each defining a character's role and playstyle. Seven Elements (Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary) drive the game's signature Weakness Break mechanic, where matching enemy weaknesses triggers stagger damage and reduced enemy actions.

Endgame content rotates between three biweekly modes: Memory of Chaos (high-corruption single-phase combat), Pure Fiction (wave clearing for AoE builds), and Apocalyptic Shadow (boss rush mode). Each rewards optimized teams with Stellar Jades and premium materials. The game's strict version cadence — major patches every six weeks, new limited 5-stars every banner phase — keeps Oneiric Shards in constant demand for players maintaining competitive rosters across multiple team archetypes.

Oneiric Shards and the Warp System

Oneiric Shards are the premium currency in Honkai: Star Rail, available only through real-money top-up. They convert 1:1 into Stellar Jade, which drives the game's gacha pulls (called Warps). Star Rail uses three separate banner types, each with its own pity and currency math:

The Character Event Warp features a rotating limited 5-star character. Hard pity guarantees a 5-star at 90 pulls (14,400 Stellar Jade), but the banner uses a 50/50 system — your first 5-star has only a 50% chance of being the featured character. If you lose that 50/50, the next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured unit, capping the worst-case at 180 pulls (28,800 Stellar Jade). Pity carries forward between consecutive Character Event Warps, so unused progress is never lost.

The Stellar Warp (the permanent standard banner) shares the 90-pull hard pity but doesn't use a 50/50. Every 5-star drop is selected at random from a fixed pool of permanent characters. After 300 cumulative pulls, you receive a free 5-star selector token to pick any character from the permanent roster.

Light Cone Event Warps

Light Cones are Star Rail's equivalent of weapons — equipped to characters to provide stats, passive effects, and synergy with specific Paths. The Light Cone Event Warp runs alongside each Character Event Warp and follows a different math: hard pity at 80 pulls (12,800 Stellar Jade) instead of 90, with a more generous 75/25 ratio in favor of the featured Light Cone. Worst-case for a guaranteed featured signature is 160 pulls (25,600 Stellar Jade) — significantly cheaper than the Character banner's worst case.

Signature Light Cones often define a character's competitive viability in Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic Shadow, making them the second-largest premium currency sink in the game after character pulls. Players targeting a complete build (5-star character + their signature 5-star Light Cone) need budgets covering both banners simultaneously.

Express Supply Pass — Value Breakdown

The Express Supply Pass is Star Rail's 30-day subscription product and one of the most efficient long-term Oneiric Shard purchases. The math: 300 Oneiric Shards on activation, then 90 Stellar Jade per day for 30 days through login rewards. The full pass value is 300 Shards + 2,700 Stellar Jade — equivalent to roughly 17 additional Warps when factoring in both portions.

Two restrictions apply. The Pass cannot be repurchased while your remaining duration exceeds 179 days; attempts beyond that threshold return only 330 Shards instead of extending the subscription. Missed daily logins are not retroactively credited, so the Pass only delivers its full value to players who log in consistently across the 30-day window.

First-Time Top-Up Bonus & Anniversary Resets

Every Oneiric Shards denomination — from 60 up through 6,480 — grants a 2× bonus on its first claim per account. Top up 60 Shards and receive 120; top up 6,480 Shards and receive a full 12,960. After that initial claim, the tier reverts to its standard bonus rate (typically a smaller fixed bonus, e.g. +260 on the 1,980 tier) for all subsequent purchases.

HoYoverse resets all tier bonuses periodically — most recently during the 3rd Anniversary on April 22, 2026, alongside an Elation Trailblazer release and an accumulative top-up reward track with milestone rewards at 300, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 12,000, 18,000, and 25,000 Shards spent. Players who topped up before the reset can now claim every tier's double bonus again. Watching for these reset windows is the single most cost-effective Star Rail spending strategy long-term.

Delivery: UID, Server, and Timing

Star Rail top-up requires two pieces of information: your 9-digit UID (visible in the bottom-left corner of any in-game screen) and your server region — America, Asia, Europe, or TW/HK/MO. The credit is processed through the same official top-up endpoint used by HoYoverse's own store, which means there's no account access required from our side and no risk of triggering the game's account security systems.

Standard turnaround is a few minutes from order confirmation. During new banner launches (when delivery volume spikes worldwide), times can stretch to 15–30 minutes for larger denominations. Once Shards land, they're immediately available — convertible to Stellar Jade for Warps, Trailblaze Power refills, or spent directly in the Contract Shop for character outfits and value packs.
