Tulborn (Opal Wand): cold wand built around Freeze kills and Exposure

Tulborn is a unique Opal Wand aimed at cold casters and freeze-focused setups. It gives a mix of flat cold damage and “on Frozen kill” bonuses, plus a stronger Cold Exposure effect:

• Adds (14–29) to (42–47) Cold Damage to Spells and Attacks

• Gain a Power Charge on killing a Frozen enemy

• +(20–25) Mana gained on killing a Frozen enemy

• Adds (120–140) to (150–170) Cold Damage to Spells

• Cold Exposure you inflict applies an extra -12% to Cold Resistance

Who it fits

Tulborn makes the most sense for builds that consistently Freeze packs so you get steady Power Charge + mana returns. Common pairings are cold-hit spells that naturally freeze while mapping, and any setup that already applies Cold Exposure as part of its damage plan.

What rolls to look for (Standard note)

This listing is Unique, and several lines roll in ranges. If you’re comparing options, “good rolls” usually means:

• higher values on the flat cold damage rolls, and

• the top end of the mana gained on Frozen kill roll.

Since this is PC Standard (SC), legacy versions can exist in permanent leagues—always check the exact numbers on the wand you’re receiving.

Drop info (for info-intent shoppers)

Tulborn is drop-restricted: it drops from Tul and her Breach monsters, and it can’t be chanced.

Heads-up on Blessing of Tul (current behavior)

Older guides mention upgrading Tulborn into Tulfall with a Blessing of Tul. PoE Wiki notes that was true before 3.27.0, and that Breach uniques are no longer upgraded by Breach Blessings (Blessings now upgrade Breachstones).
