How to Get an Adopt Me Dragon in 2025
There are a few ways to get a dragon in Adopt Me, here are the best ones. To make it easier for you, we’ll be sharing a few tips.

Buy From Legit Stores
If you want an easy way to get dragons in Adopt Me, you can check out stores online. At RPGStash, our Adopt Me store has a wide selection of pets including some Dragons that you might want to check out. We can have these pets delivered to your account quickly and securely.
Use a Trading Stand
One of the best things you can do to increase your chances of trading your Dragon for something valuable is to use a trading stand. You can buy a trading stand for 95 Robux, which is honestly a good deal. If you don't have Robux, no worries—you can trade for one too. Either way, having a trading stand is a game-changer.
We absolutely love using the trading stand because it does most of the work for you. Every time we log into the game, we head straight to the center of town and set up the trading stand. Then we just put up what we’re trading—whether that’s a standard Dragon, a Neon, or even parts for a Mega Dragon.
Set Up Your Profile the Right Way
In your profile, clearly list what you have for trade—like your Dragons—and what you're looking for. If you’re hunting for a specific version like a Neon Dragon or Mega Dragon, say so. Be upfront about it. The combo of a well-set-up profile and a trading stand changes everything.
People comment all the time about how they started getting better trades just from setting up their profile correctly. When your profile says you’re looking for specific pets or offering specific ones like a Dragon, other players will actually seek you out to make those trades.
Be Specific in Chat
Let’s talk about how you use the chat box. When you’re trading Dragons, don’t just say “Trading pet” or “Looking for trades.” Be specific. Say something like “Trading Dragon for Neon Unicorn” or “Looking for Mega Dragon parts.” That way, people know exactly what you’re offering and what you want in return.
This is especially helpful when you're trying to trade Dragons for something rare. When someone sees a specific message like “Trading Neon Dragon for Arctic Reindeer,” they know what you want. You avoid wasting time and get straight to good trades.
Get Golden And Diamond Rewards
You can obtain points for doing certain activities in the game. Those include trading, playing, and simply logging in. Accrue enough points and you’ll get Golden and Diamond rewards. These are eggs that you can hatch, much like any other egg in the game.

Not all dragons are available in these rewards, though. The Diamond dragon can be acquired through the Diamond rewards while the Golden dragon can be acquired through the Golden rewards.
Participate In Events
Some of the dragons can be acquired through specific events, but you need to be very mindful of these. Some pets get phased out and are no longer available in future iterations of said events. If you want to make sure that you’re able to participate in these events, take note of the following dates:
- Lunar New Year (February 8–22): Introduced the Yakgwa currency, allowing players to purchase various items through minigames and daily activities.
- Easter Event (March 21–April 5): Featured the Easter-themed area with activities like Sunny Scramble and Egg Hunt, offering new pets and items.
- Roblox Classic Event (May 23–28): Celebrated classic Roblox, introducing a new area beside the Pizza Shop and featuring the RoCoin and Tix currencies.
- Summer State Fair (June 14–July 12): Brought a fairground area with new pets, toys, and activities, using Tickets as the event currency.
- Games Event (July 26–August 12): Also known as the Sunshine Games, this event introduced the Grand Colosseum area, new pets, and minigames rewarding XP.
- Winter Festival (December 6–January 10, 2025): A festive event featuring Gingerbread currency, new pets, and holiday-themed activities.
Use AdoptMeTradingValues
One of the biggest mistakes people make when trading Dragons is not knowing their value. If you want to get better trades, you either need to learn values yourself or use an Adopt Me value site.
There are tons of trading value sites out there. We’ve seen people use sites like BOLT Values, AdoptMeTrading.net, and our personal favorite, Elva Bread (ELVBR). The truth is, it’s really tough to memorize the value of every pet—especially since Adopt Me updates so often. So most players rely on value sites to check what a fair trade looks like.
Go Where the Players Are
You’re not going to get good trades if no one’s around. Always go to high-traffic areas like the center of town. That’s where the action is. You can also do tasks while you’re there, because lots of players doing tasks also want to trade. It keeps you active and increases the chance of finding someone interested in your Dragon.
Be Patient and Wait for the Good Trades
If you know your Dragon's value—especially if it's a Neon or Mega—you’ve got to be patient. Don’t rush. Wait for the right trade. Someone will come along eventually who either wants what you have or is willing to overpay. And when that moment happens, be ready. Don’t hesitate. If it’s a great deal, take it.
We’ve all gotten those lowball offers. It happens. People will try to get your Dragon for way less than it’s worth. That’s why we wait. Because when a good trade comes in, it makes it all worth it.
Tips for Collecting and Trading Dragons
Trading in Adopt Me can be a minefield, especially when you're dealing with rare pets like Dragons. Whether it's a standard Dragon, a Neon Dragon, or even a Frost or Shadow Dragon, you’ve got to play it smart. Free pets in Adopt Me are hard to come by!
We’re walking you through all the key do’s and don’ts so you don’t get scammed, lowballed, or stuck in a server full of players offering you a snow cat for your prized dragon.
Do: Know What Your Dragon Is Worth Before You Trade
This may sound obvious, but before you click "accept" on that trade, you really need to understand what your Dragon is worth.
If you go into a trade without knowing its value, you run the risk of accepting an offer that’s way too low. In general, the older and rarer the dragon, the more it’s worth—but there are exceptions to this, and putting in a bit of research makes a massive difference.
Don’t: Trade on the Wrong Server
Now that you know what your dragon is worth, the next step is to find the right server to trade it in. Not all servers are created equal. Some are rich, some aren’t, and others may not even be trading servers at all.
Try to find a busy server where people have similar pets to yours. To find rich or active servers, go to the server list, click on "servers," and scroll through the available ones.
Do: Be Patient With Offers
You’ve done the research, and you’re in the right server. Now it’s time to start trading. You’re going to get a ton of offers that are under for your dragon. Don’t get impatient and accept a low offer. You know your dragon's value—don’t be afraid to ask traders to add more if they’re undervaluing it.
A lot of the time, the person making the offer knows they’re under too. They’re just hoping you don’t realize it and accept anyway. Take your time and don’t feel pressured into making a trade that doesn’t feel right.
Don’t: Start Trades With Weak Offers
Have you ever been in a trade where someone clicks decline before you’re even done adding pets? Or seen someone in chat saying, “I was still adding!”?
People expect the first pet you put into a trade to be the most valuable. For example, if you’re offering for a Frost Dragon and you start the trade with a few uncommon or rare pets and plan to add a Neon Dragon later, they might just cancel before you get the chance.
Always lead with your best offer—if your main card is a Neon Dragon, put that in first. Then follow up with adds.
Don’t: Break Down Your Neon Dragon for a Weak Deal
So, you’ve got a Neon Dragon. Congrats! Let’s say someone offers you four newborn Dragons and a Shark. You might think, “Sweet, I can just make another Neon and get a Shark too.” But here's the thing—the time it takes you to rebuild that Neon Dragon is not worth a Shark.
Think about it: would you level four legendary pets just to get a Shark? It takes about 5 to 6 hours to fully grow one legendary pet. Multiply that by four and you’re looking at an entire day of grinding with no breaks. That time could be spent getting much better trades.
Do: Age Your Dragon While You Trade
We all know levelling pets takes forever, especially legendary dragons. Because of that, aged pets are often worth more than newborns. If you’re trading dragons, always carry some food and water so you can slowly age them while standing around in a server.
Even getting it to Teen can make your Dragon more appealing to traders. And if you see someone with the same Dragon as you but theirs is older, offer your Dragon and a small add in return. It’s a smart way to age up your pets, make them more appealing, and even get closer to making a Neon or Mega Dragon.
Don’t: Fall for Scams
This is maybe the most important thing we can tell you. There are people out there who will do anything to take your Dragon from you, even if it means scamming you.
If you see anyone offering trust trades, fail trades, or saying they can duplicate your pets—walk away. These are all scams. There’s no shortcut to building your dream Dragon collection. No one can magically double your pets.
