What Is The Kitsune Fruit?

Kitsune Fruit icon from Blox Fruits

The Kitsune Fruit is a Mythical-tier Devil Fruit in the game. If the name sounds familiar, it’s inspired by the feisty and legendary fox spirits that appear in Japanese folklore.

In the game, the Kitsune fruit is distinguishable by its sleek and fiery-orange appearance that’s surrounded by swirls across the surface. Many players note that it’s easily one of the most beautiful-looking fruits in the game, but it offers more than just good looks.

As of this writing, the Kitsune Fruit costs $8,000,000 of Blox Fruits currency or 4,000 Robux. You can buy the Kitsune Fruit from the Blox Fruit Dealer but there are other ways to get this as well but we’ll cover that later.

What Does The Kitsune Fruit Do?

When used, the Kitsune Fruit gives users the ability to make and even manipulate blue fire as a form of attack. And yes, using the fruit also transforms the user into a blue version of the mythical Kitsune creature which is more than enough to make other Blox Fruits players tremble in fear.

While in this form, you have a massive increase in your attack and movement speed, among other significant upgrades to your character. You can also walk on water while using the Kitsune form but bear in mind that this comes at the expense of your tail. If your tail runs out, you’ll fall into the water. Still, it’s a good way to save yourself in dangerous situations at sea.

With the most recent version of the game, or in Update 24, the Kitsune remains the second rarest and second most expensive fruit in the game. That said, it’s a highly valuable item to have in your account, whether you use it personally or you use it as leverage during trading.

While in PvP, the fruit is considered as being overpowered, thanks to its massive DPS moves and stat upgrades, lots of players are abusing the Kitsune fruit in PvP. Most of the attacks have aim assistance or at least a huge hitbox, making them very hard to dodge for the receiver, and very easy to hit for the attacker.

Lastly, the fruit’s massive speed increase makes users very hard to hit as well. In fights on the sea, the fruit can be used to make a quick getaway via the ocean, which is particularly helpful if you have a huge bounty on your head.

Even if you aren’t doing PvP, the Kitsune is still an excellent fruit choice in the game. It’s particularly known for being an easy fruit to grind across all three seas in the game. It’s around the same level if not even better than the Buddha fruit if we’re talking about overall useability and versatility.

Because of this, the fruit is very valuable in Raids and even Sea Events. The only real issue is that the Kitsune has a high mastery level so if you’re still at a low level, it can be pretty hard to use.

Kitsune Fruit Pros

  • High Mobility - Mobility is one of the most important things to have in Blox Fruits, as the ability to avoid attacks matters. The Kitsune Fruit in its base form has good mobility, which is further amped up in the transformed state. Using the fruit allows you to literally zip across areas with ease.
  • High Damage - It has one of the highest DPS values in the game, making it very useful, especially during high-level PvE and PvP encounters. A lot of players tend to avoid Kitsune Fruit users mainly due to the fact that they can end fights quickly if their opponent doesn’t have a good enough defense.
  • Walks On Water - The ability to walk on water is very useful in Blox Fruits, a game where a huge part of the map is filled with water. This is useful when you’re trying to evade attacks or even when trying to engage enemies. As an added bonus, you can carry other players with you while transformed.

Kitsune Fruit Cons

  • High Mastery Requirements - This isn’t surprising at all considering the fact that the fruit is pretty high level and is best reserved for the end game. You’ll need to grind a lot to get the most out of the fruit.
  • Tails Need To Be Watched - One unique feature of the Kitsune Fruit are the tails. When this runs out, you’ll be taken out of your Kitsune form. This gives you another thing to worry about since you’ll have to manage both your health and your tail at the same time.
  • Extremely Rare - With a fruit as powerful as this, it should come to no surprise that it’s very rare and extremely hard to get. Even if there are a few ways to get the Kitsune Fruit, all of those are either time-consuming or costly. But at RPG Stash, we’ve got a cheap Kitsune Fruit available to anyone.

Skill List

SkillKeyUnlocks AtDescription
Foxfire RingZ1When used, you’ll summon several fiery orbs that will begin to circle around you. These orbs will shoot forward to hit enemies. Once all orbs are gone, the skill ends with a short explosion. You can keep the orb spinning by holding the key. It can be hard to keep hold of its key but it’s particularly useful, especially if you want to save the damage it deals for crucial times.
Blazing TailsX50Allows you to send out flaming tails that spread and lash around the ground in front of you. This can deal multiple fire damage and can even stun targets. This is one of the best skills of the Kitsune as it can be chained into combos, allowing for constant DPS.
Spiritfire BurstC100Lets you release a huge explosion of fire around you which will hit and damage everything nearby. It has strong AoE potential. Although not as popular as other abilities, this is one of the more useful ones in Raids because it’s very easy to clear groups and control space with this one.
Feral DashF200Lets you dash forward quickly while doing a single strike. Great for moving in and out of combat situations, but it can also be used to interrupt enemy moves. If you’re doing a combo, you can also use this to extend it further.
Kitsune AwakeningV300The bread and butter of the Kitsune Fruit. When used, you transform into a large glowing fox spirit which enhances almost every one of your stats. While transformed, your abilities benefit from increased damage. Additionally, you can also walk on water and pick up teammates. This makes the Kitsune Fruit one of the most useful transformation fruits out there. The Kitsune form is helpful in offensive and defensive scenarios.

Passive Abilities

Passive NameEffect
Foxfire BoostAll attacks apply a burning effect that deals extra damage over time. It’s worth noting that the burning effect stacks. It can also stack with other sources of fire, such as other fruits and some weapons, leading to some heavy damage.
Tail Charge MeterLanding attacks charge up a tail meter. Once full, basic attacks gain longer range and more power. This works well with the aggressive nature of the Kitsune Fruit’s skills. It’s fairly easy to max out the charge meter once you’re experienced.
Combo ExtenderSome moves, like Feral Dash, extend the M1 combo chain by resetting the final hit. This is partnered with the Tail Charge Meter, allowing for a seriously dangerous combo.
Graceful LandingReduces fall impact and staggers when landing from high places. Not as useful as other skills but with Combo Extender, you might find yourself in high places so this is still relatively useful.
Transformation BuffIn Kitsune form, your movement speed increases, you become immune to knockbacks, and receive a small damage resistance buff.

Instinct Compatibility

Instinct FeatureInteraction with Kitsune
Instinct DodgingKitsune’s fast attacks and quick movement allow users to effectively dodge with well-timed Instinct activation.
Instinct VisionHighlights enemies clearly even when surrounded by fire effects, making it easier to land high-speed combos.
Instinct BreakerCertain abilities like Spiritfire Burst and Blazing Tails are strong enough to pierce through Instinct dodges when timed correctly.
Enhanced Reflex UseKitsune form pairs well with Instinct, as the user can reposition and counter mid-dodge using Feral Dash or Foxfire Ring.

How To Get Kitsune Fruit In Blox Fruits

How to get Kitsune Fruit in Blox Fruits

We know what you’re most likely here for: a guide to getting the Kitsune Fruit in Blox Fruits. There are plenty of ways to get it, but that doesn’t mean that getting it is easy. It’s one of the most powerful fruits in Blox Fruits. After knowing exactly how powerful this is, you shouldn’t be surprised.

  1. Buy From The Blox Fruit Dealer

This method of getting the Kitsune Fruit is heavily reliant on luck and a lot of grinding. For starters, the chance of the Kitsune Fruit appearing in the dealer’s shop is actually less than 1%. The deals change once every 4 hours so you’re looking at a considerable amount of time until you see the fruit in the shop, unless you’re lucky.

The good news is that you don’t have to waste time visiting the dealer every four hours for a chance at the fruit. Use websites like Blox Fruit Stock Trackers or Discord servers to check out what the dealers are currently trading.

You can find the dealer in MiddleTown, Cafe, Sea Castle, and other areas. The fruit costs 8,000,000 Beli or 4,000 Robux. You might as well save up as early as now just in case it appears.

  1. Blox Fruit Gacha

If you think you’re really lucky, then you may as well try the Blox Fruit Gacha for a random fruit. You can find the NPC for this at Jungle, Sea Castle, and Port Town. The cost depends on the level, but it starts at 250,000 Beli. The chances of getting the fruit? A measly 0.5%.

We recommend only doing this method if you’re at a higher level so that you have a better chance at getting good fruit if not the Kitsune Fruit.

  1. Trade

A lot of players are willing to trade their Kitsune Fruit… For a price. If you’re good at trading or if you’re extremely lucky, you can get a Kitsune Fruit from other players.

Getting The Most Out Of The Kitsune Fruit

The Kitsune Fruit is arguably one of the better fruits in the game right now. But of course, it’s going to be put to waste if you don’t play your cards right. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of this powerful item.

Master It First

We know you worked so hard to get a Kitsune Fruit, but you can’t use it yet? It’s not a matter of can or can’t. It’s just that the fruit is hard to use when you don’t have all of the abilities unlocked. Combos are going to be cut short, there’s no way to follow up on things, and there’s just a lot of room for error.

It’s best to just bring out the Kitsune Fruit whenever you’ve already fully mastered it. That way, you get it’s full potential.

Tail Meter Management

The Tail Meter system can make or break your time with the Kitsune Fruit. We highly suggest understanding how the system works so that you know what to do.

For starters, you need to understand how it works. For every hit that you do, you generate energy in the form of tails. More tails mean more damage for your basic attacks and can even make your range longer. Here are a few tips for tail management.

  • Always stay aggressive: If you stay passive, you won’t get tails. The more you attack and overwhelm other players, the stronger you get.
  • Keep an eye on your meter: If your meter is full, that’s when you go all out because your skills are at their max potential.
  • Never transform on an empty meter: Last but not least, make sure to only transform whenever your tails are full. This can massively boost your damage output.

Skill Usage Tips And Combos

Foxfire Ring (Z) – Mastery 1

This skill will be primarily used for setting up combos and zoning the enemies. If you’re getting low on health, it’s best to use this ability so that the enemies will be more wary of getting near. It’s not always a good way to initiate fights in that sense but this will vary depending on the situation.

You can start fights with the Foxfire Ring as it can cooldown fast enough to be used when you get to low health in the middle of the fight. Remember, the ring will eventually explode too so you can use it in tight areas like platforms and doorways to knock enemies back.

Blazing Tails (X) – Mastery 50

Blazing tails should be primarily used as a combo extender for your attacks. It’s best used after closing the gap using Feral Dash or even as a follow-up to Foxfire Ring. As the hitbox of this ability is fairly wide, it will be near impossible for players to avoid it once you get too close.

If you notice that you’re fighting against other fruit users that have high-level fruits, you can keep this skill reserved so that you can interrupt and cancel their abilities. This works perfectly well with Dragon Breath and Buddha Slam.

Spiritfire Burst (C) – Mastery 100

This skill serves as your finisher because it deals a lot of damage and hits nearly everyone nearby. You can use it either as a means to finish off low-health enemies or to clear crowds if they get too close to you. What’s good is that since it stuns those it hits, you can follow up your next attack for any remaining enemies.

Kitsune Fruit Spiritfire Burst in use

The best time to use this is when your opponent uses Instinct dodge. This allows you to land the ability more cleanly. If not for that, try to corner your enemy or wait for them to execute a move with a lengthy animation so that they can’t dodge as easily.

Feral Dash (F) – Mastery 200

Feral Dash is the only mobility ability of the Kitsune Fruit, but boy, is it useful. The best way to use this ability is to get into combat, get out of it, and extend your combos. If it weren’t for the Kitsune transformation, this is simply the best mastery skill that the fruit has right now due to its versatility.

A little word of advice, you can use the M1 attack twice and then use the Feral Dash to reset your M1 chain. This allows you to squeeze in more hits which can actually make a huge difference in intense PvP combat.

Kitsune Awakening (V) – Mastery 300

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact purpose of Kitsune Awakening simply because there are just too many to talk about. This is the best ability of the Kitsune Fruit, and it makes the effort to get it that much worth it. It can be used offensively, defensively, and much more depending on the situation.

Kitsune Awakening Transformation

But there is one thing you need to consider: it can be canceled if you’re interrupted during transformation. As such, it’s best to activate the transformation during downtime or after dodging the move of an enemy. Never use it in the middle of a clash because it might be put to waste.

Now, to make things much easier for you, here are a few combos you can try out.

Full Tail ChainM1 → X → F → M1 → Z → C → V300All-in BurstFull combo into transformation—devastating if Tail Meter is full.

Instinct Synergy

One of the challenges with Kitsune is syncing it with Instinct. Although Kitsune is Instinct-friendly, you’ll need to play smart because the windows of opportunity are very slim.

  • Dodging: When dodging, the fruit’s dash and movement lets you evade using Instinct and then punish enemies with Feral Dash or Blazing Tails.
  • Instinct Breakers: Spiritfire Burst and even Foxfire Ring can bash through your target’s Instinct if timed right. A good way to practice is to have a friend constantly attack you so that you can see when is the best window to use these abilities.
  • Observation: Kitsune’s wide AoEs benefit from seeing through smoke and particle effects, especially when things get a little too rowdy during Raids, PvP, or boss fights.

Want a good tip? Make sure to fake a skill by holding down Z. Wait for your enemy to dodge, and then follow it up using your X or C for a sure hit.

Don’t Be Afraid To Play As Support

We believe that one of the most underrated skills of the Kitsune is its ability that lets you pick up and carry other players. With this, you can easily turn the Kitsune Fruit into a support item but only if you play it right. This ability is helpful in many situations, and a lot of players are actually using it correctly.

In a situation when you’re doing a Raid or a team fight and your allies are close to dying, what you can do is to transform into the Kitsune and carry your allies out. Mind you, the distance at which you can carry them is lengthy so you can get them out of trouble with ease.

Now think offensively, your team is divided into two groups and the other one is having a hard time dealing with enemies. The solution would be to carry your side of the team and get back to the other half. This allows you and several others to respond to others in emergency situations.
