Politics plays a huge role in the endgame for Dune Awakening. Part of that is a system where guilds aligned to certain Great Houses will do their best to win. This is part of the Lansgraad System in Dune Awakening, so if you are looking to learn more about it, then you have come to the right place!

What is Landsraad in Dune Awakening?

The Landsraad in Dune Awakening is essentially a council that makes decisions that impact all players in the game. To participate in this, you need to be in a guild that is aligned to one of the Great Houses, these being the House Atreides and House Harkonnen.

On the Landsraad Board, you will see a number of Lesser Houses. Each House requires you to complete a series of tasks—ranging from delivering resources to killing a bunch of enemies.

If you want your faction to win, you and your guild members must do everything you can to satisfy the requirements laid out by each of the Lesser Houses. Don’t worry, most of the objectives can be accomplished in pure PvE-only zones, so you don’t have to deal with pesky players who will kill you without a moment’s notice.

Now, there are Lesser Houses that have pretty challenging requirements, and there are also those that are relatively easy to accomplish. For instance, House Maros will have you kill multiple Atreides House Troops to gain points (23 points per kill, 10 additional points per minute while holding the control point).

Conversely, House Taligari only needs you to bring some Aluminum Ingots. Of course, this is a team effort because copious amounts of Aluminum Ingots are required to reach that 70,000 goal.

House Taligari Objectives

As you can see, completing all of the objectives set out by the Lesser Houses requires plenty of time. That is why a concerted effort has to be made in order for your faction to win.

Always look at the Landsraad Board for Lesser Houses that your faction has not claimed yet. Do not forget to invite your clan members to become more proactive, especially because the rewards are huge for defeating the rival faction!

Do not think of this as a waste of time, though, because the Landsraad System rewards you for your efforts. In the case of House Maros, this Lesser House gives you a pair of Syndicate Boots if you have contributed 3,500 points towards the goal, and a Stillsuit Armor Swatch at 14,000 points (if you are so inclined).

Winning the Landsraad in Dune Awakening

A Win for the House Harkonnen

So, what is truly the incentive for participating in the Dune Awakening Landsraad System? Well, when your faction wins after the timer has elapsed, the top five guilds that have contributed the most will have the power to vote for a decree.

Decrees for the Landsraad System

The leaders of these top guilds will have to choose between three decrees, namely:

  • Scholarly Collaboration: Experience gain is increased by 50%
  • In Honor of the Fallen: Melee weapon damage increased by 33%
  • Exclusive Weapons Import Rights: Access to unique Landsraad Weapons

The decree with the highest number of votes wins. Whatever decree was chosen, it will affect all members of the winning faction until the next reset, which occurs every Tuesday.

Decree Signing

Since Dune Awakening is still relatively new at the time of writing, most guilds vote for the exclusive import rights to gain access to exclusive Landsraad Weapons. However, when the game matures, the decree that gives more melee weapon damage might be popular, considering the changes that will be made to Dune Awakening PvP.

So, what happens to the losing team? Well, the members of the defeated group will leave empty-handed, while the winning faction gets to enjoy the effects of the decree for one whole week. It is worth noting that the rewards given by the Lesser Houses are still theirs, though that is pretty much it for them for the time being.

Landsraad System Recap

The Landsraad System in Dune Awakening allows guilds aligned to House Atreides or House Harkonnen to vote for certain decrees. However, in order for that to happen, guilds must do certain activities to claim the Lesser Houses.

Each Lesser House rewards players with some items based on their personal contributions. Once the goal of a Lesser House is reached, it is “claimed” by the first faction that was able to reach that.

When the timer on the Landsraad Board reaches zero, the faction with the most number of Lesser Houses claimed will be the victor! The top guilds in the winning faction can vote for a decree of their choosing. The decree with the most votes wins, and it will affect all of the members of the winning faction in Arrakis until the Landsraad Board is reset every Tuesday of the next week.
