OSRS Leagues 5 Raging Echoes is so close by now, and we know almost all the information we need. So, let's take a look at the best builds we can do using all the information we have available. If you are looking for more info regarding the upcoming Leagues please check out our Blog!

Best Builds For Each Combat Style

First, we will discuss build paths that result in the highest DPS for each combat style. These builds are heavy on the min-maxing side, so feel free to switch it up a little bit. It is a fun game mode, after all.

Melee Regular MFT

Melee_Regular_MFT_Build

The absolute best melee builds power comes from the scythe as it will have the highest DPS out of any main hand weapon. So for this build, we are going Morytania, Fremennik, and Tirannwn.

Morytania will cover all your itches for bosses and monsters while providing the best Slayer bonus in the game turning you into a machine. There is a pretty decent gear progression in this area because of Barrows. With this year's echo item “Gloves of the Damned,” you can expect Barrows to be a powerhouse, allowing you to have smooth sailing during mid-game and giving you access to good gear in all 3 combat styles. We also can’t sit on the Dharok’s as the damage it can hit can go up to 700’s with some extreme relic choices.

In the late game, you will be doing the raids and getting your best in slot, which is the scythe. From the raid, you can also get useful equipment like the rapier, avernic defender, and the justiciar armor. These can be useful before you get your hands on your best in slots. You can also get an amulet of blood fury from the Vyres, which can act as your best-in-slot with the amulet of rancor from Araxxor until you reach the Fremennik region. You can also farm the Nightmare to receive the Inquisitor armor set as it provides strength and crush bonuses.

Fremennik will provide you with your best-in-slot ring and amulet that will greatly boost your damage using any weapon in the game.

Tirannwn will provide you with your best-in-slot armor. Wearing the full crystal armor will take your damage to the next level. Furthermore, you can combine your crystal armor bonus with your Slayer helmet. This will multiply your boost from the crystal body and legs, giving you an insane way to destroy any Slayer-related creature.

For this build, we are going to put our first 6 points in the melee masteries and the remaining 4 in our magic masteries to take advantage of the magic gear we can get from Morytania.

Alternatively, you can do 4 Ranged to abuse your blowpipe that you can get from Zulrah.

Relic Choices

For these regions, we recommend the following relics:

  • Animal Wrangler
  • Dodgy Deals
  • Clue Compass
  • Reloaded into Friendly Forager
  • Slayer Master
  • Banker’s Note
  • Grimoire
  • Last Stand

These relics will take your build to the next level, the strongest relic being the Slayer Master. This relic makes all creatures that can be assigned as a Slayer creature a Slayer task, removing the need to receive tasks to gain your Slayer helmet bonus.

Melee Spec WAF

There is another melee build that takes advantage of special attacks instead of main-handing a weapon. For this build, the regions of our choice are: Wilderness, Asgarnia, and Fremennik. These regions do not have a raid so if you want to have access to a raid, you can change the Wilderness.

Wilderness provides us with incredible ways to train and osrs gp but the main reason why we are here is the Thunder Khopesh and Thousand-dragon ward. These two items are incredibly strong, and the khopesh has an insane special attack and passive against stacks of monsters.

Asgarnia provides us with the Dogsword. This incredible item houses all godsword special attacks into one, making it extremely strong against any monster. Furthermore, we can get our best-in-slot strength armor from here, being Torva, and our best-in-slot boots, being the Primordial Boots.

Fremennik provides us with the best-in-slot ring and amulet. All of these pieces of equipment combined create a machine that can kill any creature with special attacks.

Combat Masteries

We are going 6 in melee and 4 in ranged once again. The reason for this is the fact that we have access to the Zaryte Crossbow and the Craw’s Bow, which both take good advantage of the Ranged relics.

Relic Choices

  • Animal Wrangler
  • Friendly Forager
  • Clue Compass
  • Reloaded into Powerminer or Equilibrium
  • Treasure Arbiter
  • Total Recall
  • Grimoire
  • Specialist

These relics strengthen all of our gear choices, making our character a special attacking beast both suited for multi-combat and boss killing.

Ranged DFV

Let’s talk about the Ranged build. This is the absolute god build of this year's League. It is so overpowered that you don’t even need a secondary combat style. If you want to chill and completely wipe the floor with any creature you encounter, pick this build. For our regions, we are picking Desert, Fremennik, and Varlamore.

Desert provides us with our best-in-slots for ranged weapon and gear. We will be getting our Drygore Blowpipe, Masori Armour, and Twisted Bow from this region. All of these are amazing items for us to work with.

Fremennik once again provides us with the best Ranged bonus jewelry, taking our damage output to new heights. We will also get our Ava’s Assembler from here, which is a huge plus for our poor darts.

We are picking Varlamore for a different reason. First of all, we want to show who is boss to Sol Heredit but secondly, we want his gloves. These gloves will double our healing from all sources and, combined with the other healing buffs that we will get passively, this comes out to be 12 hitpoints restored per 3 seconds (if you are constantly attacking). This pretty much makes our character immortal unless we get one shot. Also, we can upgrade our Ava’s by getting a quiver.

Combat Masteries

6 Points in Ranged are the most important part of this build, the rest… honestly, it doesn’t matter what you go for. You can even not pick other masteries to flex.

Relic Choices

  • Animal Wrangler
  • Friendly Forager
  • Clue Compass
  • Treasure Arbiter
  • Banker’s Note
  • Grimoire
  • Last Stand

These relic choices will cover any point and skilling needs you have. The last stand being the most important relic as this will make you unkillable!

Magic KKF

Lastly, we have our Magic build. Magic this year is in a weird place because of Kandarin, but we can make it work. For our regions, we are picking Kandarin, Kourend, and Fremennik for the best magic damage we can get.

Kandarin provides us with the Devil’s Element and Tormented Bracelets. Both are best in slots for us. Devil’s Element will let you exploit monsters' elemental weaknesses, allowing you to deal incredible amounts of DPS, and no other glove slot item comes even remotely close to the magic bonuses the Tormented Bracelets provide. Lastly, we will have access to Piety which, although a melee prayer, combined with Kourend will allow us to freely opt-out of Grimoire.

Kourend houses a raid, which is what we need. From this raid, we can get our Tumeken’s Shadow, which will be our best in slot against creatures without an elemental weakness, Kodai Wand which will be our best in slot elemental staff, full Ancestral set which will be our best in slot magic armor, and we will also get Augury and Rigour which allows us a pretty interesting choice in our relic selection.

Fremennik is a must-take again as the magic damage bonus provided by its jewelry cannot be found anywhere else. This region will also unlock Wrath Runes for us, which are crucial.

6 points in Magic is the most important bit of this build. Other than that you can choose whatever you want to. The example above takes advantage of the first-range relic while giving a 10% damage boost to melee.

Relic Choices

  • Animal Wrangler
  • Dodgy deals
  • Clue Compass
  • Golden God
  • Treasure Arbiter
  • Banker’s Note
  • Grimoire
  • Last Stand

Well, these are the best builds for each respective combat style. However, remember this is Leagues, it is a fun limited-time game mode. Although being strong can be fun you should always consider what you want to do above all else. Enjoy Leagues, my friends!
