Adopt Me: How to Make Neon Pets
11.04.2025 - 03:41:43
Adopt Me , Roblox

Adopt Me! is all about getting rich and making sure that you have the best and rarest pets possible. If you want to be at the top, you’ll need to know how to get the Adopt Me Neon pets in the game. These are some of the most valuable and rarest pets in the game, but getting them isn’t easy.

Remember that at its core, the game is all about collecting, raising, and trading pets. To get Neon pets, you’re going to have to do a lot of these three core aspects. The thing with making a Neon pet is that it’s going to take a lot of work. If you’re not going to do things right, you’re going to waste a lot of your pets and potential.
Getting Neon pets isn’t going to be an easy journey in Adopt Me, though. You’ll need to work extra hard to have enough resources to turn regular pets into Neon pets. If you’re having trouble, we’ve got a Roblox Adopt Me store that has a lot of great and affordable finds.
To begin, let’s first talk about Neon pets, what makes them so special, and how you can take them.
What Are Neon Pets in Adopt Me?
To put it simply, Neon pets are upgraded versions of the regular pets. They differ in terms of value and appearance. Neon pets glow with bright and animated colors, as compared to their regular counterparts. This might seem like a simple change, but trust us, a lot of players' eyes widen whenever they see someone with a Neon pet.
Regular players love them because of how they look, and those who are heavily focused on trading love them because of their amazing value. That glow isn’t just going to be for decoration, it’s also going to show that you’ve put in the work to get the pet because Neon Pets are more than just about luck and resources.
How Neon Pets Are Different
But just to be clear, Neon pets aren’t a new species or rarity. They’re simply an enhanced version of the creatures that are already in the game right now. Neon pets don’t all have the same color scheme or style and they actually differ per pet. For example:
- A Neon Dog has glowing blue paws, ears, and tail.
- A Neon Unicorn glows pink in the horn, hooves, and mane.
- A Neon Dragon features an orange glow in the wings and belly.
These glowing areas in the pets light up and pulse in a way that regular pets simply don’t because they don’t have these added design tweaks. Neon Pets can’t be hatched or purchased directly. You have to earn them, making them even more valuable.
Why Players Love Neon Pets So Much
We’ve said it before, but let’s talk about it even further. There are three main reasons players go after Neon Pets:
- Visual Style
Neon Pets are flashy, and in a social game like Adopt Me, that’s definitely a big deal. They draw attention in public servers and look great in your collection. If you see a player with a bunch of Neon pets, it’s very easy to be in awe because you just know that they’ve put in the time and effort into getting those. - Higher Trade Value
In trading, a Neon version of a pet is usually worth more than four individual versions, making them very valuable. The effort it takes to make one adds value, and they’re often used in high-level trades. What’s good about these is that getting Neon pets isn’t purely based on luck, but we’ll talk about that later. - Puts Duplicate Pets To Use
For players chasing the ultimate glow-up, Neon Pets are a stepping stone. You need four Neon Pets to make a Mega Neon, which cycles through all the colors of the rainbow. Instead of just letting your adult pets go to waste, you can instead invest them towards creating a Neon pet that you can trade for even more valuable pets in the future.
Neon Pet Value vs. Other Pets

In this section, let’s talk about the value of the Neon version of pets in the game. Keep in mind that these will change constantly. There are a ton of websites that you can refer to check the values in. We’re going with the Neon pet values first and then put in a table for the regular pets.

Comprehensive Guide To Making Neon Pets
We know that one of the most important reasons why you’re here is to know how to make Neon pets of your own. Players have mastered this craft and continue to make a profit out of it. It might be your turn to do so. It will help you get rare Adopt Me pets very easily.
Step 1: Collect Four Pets of The Same Kind
Planning is very important when it comes to getting a Neon pet. The most important requirement is that you need to have four pets of the same species. And just to clarify, the same species. Say, for example, if you want a Neon Cat, you need four regular adult Cats. No two regular cats and two other different colored cats.

Before you pick, you also need to understand that all of the pets involved need to be non-Neon, non-Mega, and not aged up differently compared to others.
If you’re planning out your Neon pet now, scour through your pet list and check which pets you have multiple copies of. We suggest picking common or uncommon pets to start with since it’s way easier to collect them. In fact, you might already have tons of these common and uncommon pets in your inventory right now.
Now, you can get pets in a myriad of ways in Adopt Me. You can hatch them from eggs, buy them from players or from storefronts, and many more. If you’re targeting specific pets, here’s what you need to do.
Getting Specific Pets In Adopt Me
For starters, you need to understand the pet rarity system in the game. There are 5 pet rarities in the game but for the purpose of making a Neon pet, we want you to get Common and Uncommon pets for now. Before trying to get a specific pet, ask:
- Is the pet still available in-game?
- Is it exclusive to an egg or an event?
- Can it be traded?
For Common and Uncommon pets, the best way to get it is via hatching eggs. Each has its own pool of possible pets and drop rates.
| Egg | Price | Pets Available | Rarity Odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cracked Egg | 350 Bucks | 14 | 45% Common, 3% Legendary |
| Pet Egg | 600 Bucks | 14 | 20% Rare, 3% Legendary |
| Royal Egg | 1450 Bucks | 14 | 8% Legendary |
| Limited-Time Eggs | Varies | 6–12 | Often tied to seasonal pets |
The strategy here would be to first check the Nursery Board which is located outside the Gumball Machine. This will let you know at a glance at which pets are currently available in eggs. Once you’ve found the eggs you need, hatch multiple eggs at once which will make things easier on your end.
If you’re looking for a specific pet from an egg, calculate your odds and expect to hatch 5–30+ eggs depending on rarity.
Alternatively, you can buy or trade the pets you need for a Neon pet. Since you’re only targeting common and uncommon pets, this should be relatively easy and cheap to do. It’s actually way cheaper and less intensive compared to hatching eggs.
Step 2: Grow Each Pet Into Adulthood
The next step is the most time-consuming part of getting a Neon pet. Remember, you can only turn adults into Neon pets, and that’s it. If you’ve been playing Adopt Me for a while now, you should know how long it can take for pets to go from egg to full-grown stage.

It can take hours for this to happen, and if you’re not always playing, this means you can take days, if not weeks, to get a Neon pet. Unfortunately, there’s no shortcut to this so we’ll teach you to grow your pet into adulthood as best we can.
To begin with, you need to understand that all pets in Adopt Me go through the same aging stages:
- Newborn
- Junior
- Pre-Teen
- Teen
- Post-Teen
- Full Grown
Aging Length by Rarity (Estimated Time per Pet):
| Rarity | Time to Full Grown |
|---|---|
| Common | 45–60 minutes |
| Uncommon | 1–1.5 hours |
| Rare | 1.5–2 hours |
| Ultra-Rare | 2.5–3.5 hours |
| Legendary | 4–6 hours |
Each stage requires a certain number of tasks (XP) before it moves on to the next level. Tasks are things like feeding, sleeping, going to school, or bathing. Keep in mind that the rarer the pet, the more XP it takes per stage. We suggest avoiding grinding Adopt Me Dragon type pets for now.
Every pet task gives a certain amount of XP toward the next stage. One thing to note is that you don’t see XP numbers directly. You can only keep track of the progress through the growth meter under your pet’s name. The loop is fairly simple:
- Completing a task = XP
- XP fills the bar to complete a stage
- Once the bar fills, the pet evolves to the next stage
- Reaching Post-Teen → Full Grown completes the cycle
Pet Tasks That Give XP
| Task | Location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sleep | Any bed (home, school, hospital) | Sleep as a baby too for Bucks |
| Shower | Any shower/tub in a home | Can’t be completed in public areas |
| Hungry | Food bowls or inventory food | Pizza also works |
| Thirsty | Water bowls or inventory drinks | Lemonade stand or tea also work |
| School | School building | Can multitask with others |
| Hospital | Hospital building or home bed | Doctor Hearts auto-heals |
| Playground | Playground near Nursery | Use trampoline or slide |
| Pool Party | Pool (when active) | Seasonal task (used to be) |
| Salon/Job Tasks | Pet Salon or Pizza Shop | Optional but gives XP |
| Camping | Campground | Includes sleep + camping |
What the game doesn’t tell you is that you can actually stack your tasks. You can do as many as 3 at once so you can get more XP with your time. This process can be very tiring especially if you want to make a Neon pet out of higher rarities. Here are a few tips to consider:
1. Use a Grinding House
Create a small home setup that includes:
- 2+ Pet Beds
- Crib (for yourself as a baby)
- Bath/Shower
- Pet food/water bowls
- Piano (for School/Sleep tasks)
This setup lets you do most tasks without leaving your house. The good news is that most of the items you see here can be easy to get. This allows you to grind for XP without spending a lot of traveling time in between.
2. Play as a Baby
It’s highly recommended to play as a Baby while raising your pets from newborn to adult. You can get more XP and Bucks by raising your pet and your character at the same time. This isn’t going to help much in terms of growing the baby to adulthood but you’re at least getting more things for your time.
3. Use Alt Accounts or Family Trick
This is going to be a bit of work but if you want to get Neons fast, it’s going to be worth it. Start by inviting friends or your alt accounts into a Family. Once done, make everyone in the Family carry multiple pets at once.
All completed tasks will apply to every pet held by the Family members. In essence, you can level up 2 to 4 pets at the same time!
4. Use a Private Server
We also highly recommend grinding inside a private server instead of a public one. Doing this means there are fewer players so there's a faster task cycle. There’s also going to be less lag and interruption from trades and teleports. If you’re not planning on doing anything else other than grinding, you should stick to private servers.
5. Avoid Grinding Different Pets
This should be obvious by now but don’t grind different types of pets at once. This is ill-advised especially when you’re doing it to get more Neons. You’re wasting precious time. If you want a Neon cat, only grind cats and that’s it. You’ll get to your end goal much faster by doing this.
Step 3: Head To Neon Cave

Tired already? You’re almost there. The good news is that you’re done with the tough parts which are getting four identical pets and raising them to the fully-grown status. From here on out, it’s going to be much easier for you.
With all pets Full Grown, head to the Neon cave. Start by going to the Nursery on Adoption Island. Go to the center of the island, and specifically head under the main bridge. There should be a glowing door embedded into the rock under the bridge.
Enter this glowing door and you’ll be in an area called Nixie’s Cave. Inside will be a glowing circle that has four smaller circles around it. Nixie the fairy will be standing nearby and she will assist you with the entire process of changing your pets into a Neon variant.
Now comes the actual process of turning your pet into a Neon pet. Start by heading into the central circle. Click on your Backpack and open the Pets tab. Select one of your pets and place it in one of the smaller circles surrounding you right now. Do the same for the rest of your pets.
Once all four of your full grown pets are placed inside, you’ll trigger an animation and poof, you’ve got your very own Neon Pet. You can do this process as many times as you like but keep in mind that this is irreversible. By that, we mean that once fused, the four pets you used for the transformation are gone forever.
What Are Mega-Neon Pets?
If you think Neon pets are cool, then you haven’t seen Mega-Neon pets yet. To put it simply, these are even more rare, even harder to get, but even more valuable compared to regular Neons. Let’s first talk about how you can get them.

Mega-Neon pets have the same glimmer as Neon pets but this time, they cycle through all of the colors of the rainbow, making them even more special and unique.
How To Get Mega-Neons In Adopt Me
First off, you’ll need not one, not two, but four of the same Neon pet species. If this sounds familiar, the process is fairly the same as in getting a Neon pet. But this time, the four Neons need to be Luminous.
To make your Neon pets Luminous, you’ll need to complete the same tasks as above. Neon pets will cycle through Reborn, Twinkle, Sparkle, Flare, Sunshine, and finally, Luminous. What this means is that you’ll need a total of 16 base pets, to create 4 Neons which you’ll need to grow into the Luminous stage to get a Mega-Neon.
Once you have four Luminous Neon pets, take them to the Neon Cave once again and place them within the four circles as before. The time it takes to get all of the pets can take you literal weeks, if not months. The same conditions apply, the rarer the pet, the longer the time it will take to evolve them.
Is it worth it? Definitely yes. Just the trading values alone make the effort worth it. Check them out with this table. Again, these values are subject to change so make sure to keep yourself updated regularly.
| Pet Name | Neon Trading Value | Mega Neon Trading Value | Multiplier |
| Shadow Dragon | 439.00 | 1,200.00 | 2.73 |
