Shadow Dragon

Shadow Dragon pet in Adopt Me

One thing you’ll immediately notice from this list is that more than a few of the monsters here are dragon type monsters. They’re the rarest in Adopt Me and when it comes to the rarest out of all the monsters in the game, it’s safe to say that the title belongs to none other than the Shadow Dragon.

The Shadow Dragon was launched in October 18, 2019 as part of that year’s Halloween Event. If you were playing at the time, you could’ve easily bought the dragon for 1,000 Candy from the candy shop. Since the event has ended however, the Shadow Dragon can only be acquired through trading only.

The Shadow Dragon has a Neon and Mega Neon form. You can bet that getting any of these forms will result in what could be the most expensive pet in the game so far. In its Neon form, the dragon emits a light purple glow on its claws, horns, tongue, inner wings, and some of its spine.

It’s one of the hottest commodities on the trading market for Adopt Me so if you happen to have one of this in your arsenal, you’re looking at major profit for your account. But of course, getting one isn’t going to be easy anymore. The pet doesn’t even return in the latest Halloween events.

Bat Dragon

From one dragon, we go to another. This time, it’s the bat dragon. And yes, this one was also made available during the 2019 Halloween event. It’s a time limited legendary pet in the game. If you were around the time, you can get the bat dragon for 180,000 Candy in the Candy Trading Shop.

Since the event has ended and the shop has closed, you now can’t get the dragon in any other way other than trading. This is one of the more valuable pets in the game, just next to the shadow dragon. If you’re lucky, you probably have both of these dragons in your inventory.

In its Neon form, the Bat Dragon’s wings and the tip of its tail will glow a neon orange color. To make things even better, its horns, nose, and spikes on its tail will glow a light orange color. If you’re willing to go through the extra work, the bat dragon has a Mega Neon variant. It’s colors will cycle through white, magenta, lavender, and turquoise.

Giraffe

Giraffe pet from Adopt Me

It’s kind of odd to say this but yes, in the world of Adopt Me, the Giraffe is one of the rarest pets in the game. In our world, the giraffe is something that you can easily see with a visit to the zoo. They’re simple and they’re not creatures of fantasy unlike dragons and other pets on this list.

The pet was launched in July 5, 2019 along with the Safari Egg. Unfortunately, the egg is no longer available, meaning that you can only get the giraffe via trading. Even then, the giraffe was a rare pet. If you had a Safari Egg back then, you had a 3% chance of hatching the giraffe.

Players are less eager to part with the giraffe via trading because of how rare it has become. If you’re lucky, you might be able to find other players who can actually give you this. We recommend going through communities in Reddit or Discord to find potential traders.

Frost Dragon

Yes, you got it right, we’ve got a another dragon. It’s so weird to see considering that we just went from a giraffe, and now we’re back to the dragon. The Frost Dragon is beloved for its amazing looks that shows off more elegance rather than fierceness compared to other dragon pets.

If you look closely, the Frost Dragon is very close in appearance to the Shadow Dragon in Adopt Me. It has the same mesh but it has a few differences including icy blue scales, blue eyes, and bright blue smoke particle effects from the mouth. It also doesn’t have an exposed ribcage and it has more spikes compared to the Shadow Dragon.

The Frost Dragon arrived in the game on December 20, 2019. You could get it from the event shop for 1,000 Robux. It’s never made a comeback since then so you can only get the Frost Dragon via trading today. This is why we highly encourage you to participate in events like the Easter Event for Adopt Me.

Owl

If you love birds, you’re definitely going to love the owl in Adopt Me. There’s nothing fancy about the owl. There’s no magical smoke, no spikes, tails, or anything out of the ordinary. It’s just an owl. But that’s part of the main appeal in being in a game with so many fantastic creatures on the roster.

The owl was launched in the game on November 22, 2019 along with the Farm Egg. Like the Safari Egg and the giraffe, the Farm Egg is no longer available. If you have any saved up Farm Eggs, you can get the owl but it only has a 1.5% chance of hatching from the egg. Either that, or you can trade for it.

The owl is very popular on the trading market for Adopt Me. If you happen to have one in your inventory right now, you’re very lucky as that means you could potentially trade it for something more expensive or something else that you want to add to your account.

Parrot

From one bird, we go to another. And yes, this is the same parrot as the one in real life. You can also get it from the Jungle Egg just like how the Safari Egg hatches the giraffe. And just like the giraffe, you can get it for a measly hatch rate of 3%. Unfortunately, the Jungle Egg is no longer in-game since being launched on August 31, 2019.

If you still have any unhatched Jungle Eggs, you can still get the parrot if you’re lucky enough. Otherwise, you’re going to have to trade with other players. The trouble is obviously going to be worth it though as this is one of the coolest pets in the game. It’s also one of the most popular animals in the world.

The Neon version has glows on its wings, tail, and talons but the colors are the same as it is in its regular form. In the Mega Neon variant, the glow are in the same area but the colors are now cycling through red, yellow, pink, teal, and purple, for a truly beautiful pet.

Evil Unicorn

Evil Unicorn from Adopt Me

The 2019 Halloween Event was truly special because it introduced most of the rarest pets that the game has to offer right now. Aside from the Shadow Dragon and the Bat Dragon, there’s also the Evil Unicorn which is undoubtedly one of the most unique and cool looking pets in the game right now.

If you were already playing Adopt Me at the time, you can get the Evil Unicorn for 108,000 Candy from the trading shop for the event. However, since the event is now donw with, you can only get it through trading with other players. It’s a shame that a cool looking pet such as this hasn’t made a comeback yet.

The Neon variant of the evil unicorn has a bright red glow on its mane, horn and tail. If you did your best to make four Neons, then you can get an evil unicorn that cycles through the red, pink, and orange colors. This is one of the most requested pets that players want to see in an event again soon.

Crow

The crow stands alongside the owl in terms of rarity and in terms of how you can get it. You can hatch it from a Farm Egg but it only has a 1.5% chance of releasing a crow so you need to be very lucky. You can also get it by trading with other players, or by opening any unhatched Farm Egg that you might have in your inventory.

The Neon version has a bright white glow on all parts of its body other than the beak, eyes, and feet, making it truly unique. For the Mega Neon variant, the same parts glow but now, the colors cycle through pink, orange, and yellow instead.

The crow might be a simple animal in our eyes but in the world of Adopt Me, this is easily one of the best and most popular pets in the game right now. Players are really considered lucky to have this in their inventory.

Monkey King

It might not be the rarest pet in Adopt Me right now but it’s definitely one of the most sought after by the community. We mean, who wouldn’t want the monkey king on their list of pets in Adopt Me? Getting the Monkey King isn’t easy though, so even if you were there when he was available, you definitely had to work hard.

To get the Monkey King, you’ll need three Staff Ingredients and a regular Monkey. The Staff can be acquired with a 5% chance of acquisition through Premium Monkey Boxes that cost 195 Robux each. If you do manage to make a Monkey King, you can also get a Monkey King Crown.

Since getting the Monkey King back then was such a hassle, most players ended up just doing trades to get this creature. Unfortunately, it was pretty expensive even back then, but even moreso now.

Diamond Unicorn

Diamond Unicorn from Adopt Me

Last but not the least, we’ve got the Diamond Unicorn. While the evil unicorn was scary and awesome, the diamond unicorn is more elegant and fancy. They’re a contrast of each other, much like the shadow dragon and the frost dragon. In terms of rarity however, the evil unicorn is still up there.

The diamond unicorn was amde available on march 20, 2020 along with the Star Rewards. You can still get the diamond unicorn with its traditional method today which is by hatching a Diamond Egg. If you want to get it via hatching, there’s a 33.3% chance that you’re going to get a diamond unicorn.

The Neon version of the Diamond Unicorn features a bright yellow glow on its mane, horn, and tail, making it even more majestic than it already is. If you work hard enough for the Mega Neon variant, you can get the a Diamond Unicorn that glows in the same areas as the Neon variant but the colors will now cycle through pink, cyan, and white.
