Best Garden Tower Defense Units
Our tier list for the top meta units in Roblox Garden Tower Defense will be laid out starting from the best units for early progression all the way to the ones meant for the endgame. Let's start with a plant that you should all be familiar with when you start the game.
Potato

The Potato is one of the most cost-effective units in all of Garden Tower Defense. This unit is meant to be laid out first in order to get the money flowing for future upgrades.
At the start, place several potatoes strategically near the enemy respawn point. The damage, as well as the speed of the Potato, should help destroy any and all opposition in the first five minutes.
Of course, you have to sell them later on to get better units but the Potato should be able to handle anything without a hitch at the start of the game.
If you want, you can even pair the Potato with the Farmer (unit) for better damage early on.
Sawflower

An awesome new unit that attacks insanely fast when fully upgraded, the Sawflower is recommended by many pros to Garden Tower Defense beginners. Why is that, you ask? Well, the Sawflower has a lot of incredible traits that you want in a unit.
First, this thing has one of the fastest attack speeds in the game. The Sawflower can put pressure on enemies by attacking every 0.08 seconds. That's right, it attacks so swiftly that it can handle any and all monsters from early- to mid-game.
Furthermore, placing the Sawflower right where the enemy spawns allows you to relax in the first 10 minutes. Of course, you should upgrade them as soon as you are able to get the most out of it.
For the price and what you are getting in return, the Sawflower is easy to recommend both for its damage and sheer speed compared to other early-game units in Roblox Garden Tower Defense.
Money Tree

Just about any garden in the game can utilize this next unit. The Money Tree is a must for every garden in Roblox Garden Tower Defense mainly because it's the sole income generator unit in the game.
Yes, it doesn't attack enemies at all. However, what it does is it generates a lot of money for you (and it does so pretty well). Since it's not aggressive, you can simply place the Money Tree away from where the action is as it generates passive income.

The reason why you should always plant the Money Tree is that it's a must to get more fully upgraded towers later down the line. Some units in the game have expensive upgrades, so having a lot of Money Trees working at the same time is required.
If there is a unit that you absolutely have to upgrade ASAP, it would be this one!
Corn

If you have a VIP Pass in Roblox Garden Tower Defense, you might have a chance to obtain the Corn. Think of this unit as the Potato's bigger brother—better, stronger, faster.
Not only does the Corn have better HP compared to the measly Potato but it also does significantly more damage, attacks quite fast (at 0.8 seconds when fully upgraded), and has a considerable range at 51.
Therefore, placing as much Corn as you can near the starting point is a good strategy—provided that you have this unit in your kit.
Laser Plant

Do you want a unit in Garden Tower Defense that shoots actual lasers? Well, there is a unit that is aptly named the Laser Plant.
One of the reasons to use this unit is that the Laser Plant attacks insanely fast at 0.07 seconds when fully upgraded. Besides that, the Laser Plant hits considerably hard for a lightning-quick unit (70 damage at level 5). Ideally, you place a few of these near the enemy spawn point to see the money flowing in!
The Laser Plant is an excellent mid-game unit, which is only trumped by the more expensive and rare units on our Garden Tower Defense tier list.
Peas in a Pod

At first glance, you might think that the Peas in a Pod is mediocre. With only 42 damage, 0.2 attacks per second, and 24 range at level 5, it's easy to assume that. However, this unit is deceptive because its utility cannot be seen on the stat sheet. Instead, its potential will be in full display once you know its attack pattern.
You see, unlike most units in Roblox Garden Tower Defense, the Peas in a Pod actually hit multiple enemies at once. This makes them highly effective against waves of monsters after the five-minute mark, where most of them get mass-produced after the said time frame.
The Peas in a Pod are often paired with the Rose Trap because of the latter's ability to slow enemies down, allowing the former to shoot more pellets as the monsters try to pass through.
If you want to use the Peas in a Pod in the late-game, consider upgrading them to the max and place this unit at various chokepoints and corners for maximum benefit.
Ghost Pepper

The Ghost Pepper is a special unit in Roblox GTD for the simple reason that it spews fire that deals damage over time. So, even if the enemy unit is able to get out of the Ghost Pepper's range, it can still potentially get eliminated when it's low on health and is suffering from the aforementioned fire damage.
Looks can definitely be deceiving here because when you glance over the Ghost Pepper's stats, it says that it can only deal 62 damage at level 5. However, that is misleading because that damage is actually applied per second. This, combined with the Ghost Pepper's 0.58 attack speed, makes this unit a powerhouse even in the late game.
Because of the consistent damage that the Ghost Pepper is able to produce, it can deal with bosses just fine on monster waves above 20.
Venus Flytrap

The Venus Flytrap is considered by many pros in GTD as a meta-tier unit, known for its incredible AoE damage. Once enemies are within range, the Venus Flytrap spews acid that deals 600 damage at level 5. That is pretty insane in the context of being able to hit multiple monsters at once!
If there is one thing to note here, it is that the Venus Flytrap has very expensive upgrades. For example, you need about $23,500 to go from level 4 to level 5. However, a fully upgraded Venus Flytrap can eliminate late-game monster waves without a hitch, so it's definitely worth it!
Bloodvine

This next unit is one of the rarest in all of Roblox GTD, and likely for a good reason. The Bloodvine is a premium tower that deals damage in an area, making it one of the most effective in dealing with enemies in the mid- to-late game.
The Bloodvine is known for having impressive AoE and considerable damage. At level 5, it deals a whopping 1,185 damage and attacks every 0.5 seconds. It's no wonder why the Bloodvine is highly sought-after. Between this and the Venus Flytrap, you are better off with this one if you can get it.
Golem

If the Bloodvine is out of reach, then this next unit is a great alternative. The Golem is renowned for its impressive single-target damage. When upgraded to the max, the Golem can deal 1,300 damage and attacks every 2.22 seconds. For a single-target behemoth, this unit has a relatively good range at 41.
Enemies like the Bomb Beetles and Snails, which are known to be damage sponges because of their high HP, are no match against a fully upgraded Golem. The only thing to note here is that the Golem is only meant for single-target engagements, so the Bloodvine is still the best in that regard.
Still, the Golem should be part of your endgame lineup.
Blossom Barrage

Do you want a tower that melts absolutely everything in Roblox GTD? If so, the Blossom Barrage fits that description, and then some!
The Blossom Barrage is an extremely powerful unit that deals considerable damage at a rapid pace. At level 5, this unit can attack every 0.06 seconds, melting anything and everything that comes its way. If you don't believe us, just check how quickly it can dispose of enemies:

As you can see, the Blossom Barrage has good AoE, impressive damage output, and equally awesome attack speed. It is still trumped by the Bloodvine but the thing about the Blossom Barrage is that it's more accessible than the former.
What it does share with the Bloodvine is that the Blossom Barrage is also quite rare. Be that as it may, it is one of the best units in Roblox Tower Defense and that's a guarantee!
Beehive

The last unit in our top meta units in the Garden Tower Defense tier list is a recent addition to the game. It is also one of the most unique.
The Beehive, which was introduced as part of the Bee Bloom Event, does not attack enemies head-on just like the other towers. However, what it does is produce soldier bees that do the killing for you.
When fully upgraded, the bees become incredibly strong, so much so that they camp near enemy respawn points and destroy anything that tries to push through.
By the looks of it, the Beehive has an unlimited range as well. That is why you can place it relatively far away from the enemy spawn point and it will still perform admirably.
If you are looking for a unit that has infinite range and deals significant damage, then the Beehive is a must-have (if you are lucky enough to get one, that is).

Garden Tower Defense: Building the Ultimate Meta Team
Roblox GTD is an enjoyable game, especially if you know what units to use to achieve victory. The Potato and the Sawflower are very good starter units because of their damage early on. If you are a VIP and have access to the Corn, then you can use that too!
During the mid-game, you have to establish towers that deal AoE damage. Fortunately, there are a bunch of them on this list, including the Peas in a Pod, Venus Flytrap, Blossom Barrage, and the Bloodvine.
The Ghost Pepper and the Beehive are unique in their own ways, with the former dealing damage over time and the latter's ability to summon multiple soldier bees to handle the difficult stuff.
If some of the endgame units are out of reach, you can rely on the Golem to deal with those chunky, high-HP monsters.
Of course, you can get your hands on the extremely rare units in Garden Tower Defense if you buy Robux from our online store.
So, what can you say about our tier list? Are there any towers that should have been on there? If so, let us know in the comments!
