Important note:

For your attributes you just need to allocate enough Strength so that you will be able to wear all of your gear. Then dump the remaining Stat Points into Vitality. From Levels 22-75 you are going to want to put all your attribute points into Vitality. With the exception of changing gear if ever.

Progression & Leveling:

Early Stages

In the early stages of this leveling guide you are going to be starting off using Nova as your main skill and then respecing into Blizzard and Meteor for the later part of the leveling journey.

To start off your first skill is going to be put into Charged Bolt this is going to be your main damage dealing skill throughout the early stages of ACT I. To be able to utilize this skill to its fullest you should use it at a distance for multiple enemies and up close to create a shotgun effect on single opponents like bosses.

When you are at around level 5 you are going to have access to Static Field and Frost Nova. You are going to be using your Frost Nova as a utility skill to be able to slow down opponents. For your Static Field this is going to be a powerful tool in your arsenal being able to reduce a percentage of the enemies current life. You should use this skill as an initiator to maximize its effect.

You can opt to buy a staff or wand that gives + to Charged Bolt. You can find these wands and staves at Akara.

When you have reached The Countess you are going to need to farm her for some important runes that you are going to be using. The runes that you are going to want to farm are Tal,Eth, and 2Tir runes. If you are able to farm 2Tir runes you are going to want to slot it in a (2) socketed helmet so that you can benefit from mana per kill.

At level9 you will have access to Frost Armor which is going to give you an extra layer of defense. Since you are going up close for your Charged Bolts and your Static Fields this will help you survive. You will also have Telekinesis which is going to allow you to move objects and loot from a distance.

When you reach level 12 you should have the skill Nova which is going to be your main damage dealing skill. Make sure that you wait until you have 2 or 3 points into Nova since Charged Bolt is still going to be slightly stronger.

Your skill rotation for multiple monsters should be Static Field, Frost Nova to slow and Nova to finish them off. For bosses you are going to use Static Field until it loses its strength then kill them with Nova.

You are going to want to focus on increasing your FCR (Faster Cast Rate). If you can find a wand that gives FCR, sometimes Akara has some available. Also you kind Rings and Amulets that give FCR which is going to be good for hitting breakpoints.

Middle Stages

At this point you should be around level 17 and this is the time you are going to be using the runes that you have farmed, which is the Tal and Eth rune word to create the Stealth rune word. You can do this by placing the Tal and Eth into a (2) socketed armor.

When you are level 18 you are going to be able to have access to your Teleport which is going to grant you amazing mobility and be able to jump through obstacles and jump out if you are in a bind.

When you reach level 21 you are going to be able to use and make the Ancients’ Pledge rune word. You will naturally gain access to this rune word when you complete the 2nd quest of ACT V.There is also an option for you to be able to farm the runes that you need which are Ral, Ort, and Tal.

You will be able to insert these rune words in a (3) socketed shield. You will be able to buy a (3) socketed shield from Farah in ACT II. So don’t sweat it and make this rune word when you can. This is a rune word that you will be able to take to Hell since it gives a good amount of resistance.

When you beat the game on normal you should be around level 21-23. You are going to have access to The Secret Cow Level. Here you are going to want to farm for EXP and certain items that you are going to be using in Nightmare.

You are going to want to farm a Crystal Sword which is going to be a base for the Spirit rune word. To add sockets take it to Larzuk and use his quest reward to add slots. To ensure this comes out with 4 sockets you need to make sure this item came from The Secret Cow Level.

Respec

Level 24 is going to be the level where you will be able to unlock Blizzard. This is going to be your main damaging skill from this point moving forward. Blizzard is an AoE spell that slows targets and is currently the spell that deals the most damage. Although it is a little tricky to aim due to the projectile speed, you will be able to predict and utilize this skill with more practice.

Since we don’t have any skill points left we are going to be utilizing the respec so that we can start leveling and using Blizzard. You can follow the chart below:

The reason why you are going to go to put some level in Ice Blast and Glacial Spike is so you can continue to cast spells and deal damage while Blizzard is still on cooldown.

Nightmare

When you reach Nightmare you are going to want to start shopping for Gloves, Belts, and Boots that are going to be giving you resistances. A good level to reach Nightmare is at level 26 so that you will be able to start buying upgraded potions from Akara.

When you reach the Black Marsh you can start farming The Countess for more rune words that you are going to be using in this portion of the game. The runes that you are going to find are Sol, Tal, Thul, Amn, and 2 Ort runes.

When you have gathered the rune words, you are going to want to make your Spirit runes word by inserting Tal, Thul, Ort, and Amn in that order inside your (4) socketed crystal sword. This is going to be something you can use until Hell which is going to give you + 2 to all skills, FCR, and Mana.

When you reach level 27 you are going to want to create the Lore rune word by interesting the Ort and Sol runes inside a (2) socketed helm. If you still don’t have a (2) socketed helmet then you can always buy one from Charsie. Lore is going to give you + to skills and Lightning resistance.

If you ever come across Cold Immune monsters while you still don’t have your Meteor skill then you should skip them. If you can’t skip them then you are going to need a Mercenary from ACT II with the Might Aura to further increase his damage.

You can also help boost your mercenary by equipping him with a (4) socketed poleaxe with the rune word Insight; you can make this by inserting Ral, Tir, Tal, Sol. This is going to give you a Level 17 Meditation Aura that is going to give you better mana regeneration and it is also going to give ED (Enhanced Damage) to your Mercenary making it easier for him to deal with Cold Immunes.

Gear options and alternatives:

Leaf is going to be a good weapon swap since it will improve your fire skills which is going to help you deal with Cold Immune monsters.

Bone Wand of Lower Resistance you can buy this from Malah ACT I Normal, Akara ACT I Nightmare, Drognan ACT II Nightmare. This will allow you to deal with high resistances.

Skin of the Vipermagi would be the best in slot which will be able to replace your Stealth

Magefit Gauntlets Is a good slot for gloves giving you good FCR and helping you increase your Fire Skills overall damage.

Stone of Jordan is an awesome ring that gives + to skills.

Raven Frost which is going to give you Cannot be Frozen.

Mara's Kaleidoscope is going to give you good resistances and + to skills.

Splendor is a good replacement for your Ancients’ Pledge if you feel that you can deal without the resistances.

Spirit in your shield is another good option for slightly lower resistances but increasing your FCR and giving you + to skills.

Lidless Wall is another good unique that helps you with FCR and adds + to skills

Conclusion:

The Sorceress is going to be a fun character to play in the early stages slinging your Nova and Static Field, and you will be breezing through the game with Blizzard. You are going to have a lot of fun leveling this character while trying to balance which spells to use against certain immunities. As an endgame character you can transition her into a Nova Sorceress, Frost Mage, Fire Mage. By then she is going to be powerful enough to solo most areas and be able to farm for his own gear in The Secret Cow Level. All in all the Sorceress is a good character to focus on and level for someone who likes to clear content fast, solo most bosses, and feel powerful slinging Fire, Cold, and Lightning spells.
