OSRS Zilyana is the easiest boss to kill in the God Wars Dungeon. Compared to the other bosses, you can use much simpler methods and achieve the best results. The best part about this is the fact that budget setups work really well against this boss as well. Although this boss only has 2 valuable drops, the fact that it is really easy to farm makes up for it. You will mainly look for two drops: the Armadyl crossbow and the Saradomin hilt. If you are consistent with your kills and have a relatively good setup, you can expect to make up to 5.2M per hour from Zilyana!

As with everything in Runescape, the more money you have, the better you can do content and the more money you can make. Boss Information

Here is some general information about Zilyana that can be useful for any method:

• You can use ecumenical keys to skip the kill count gathering part, but it is good to note that Saradomin KC is one of the easiest to get in all GWD if you have level 83 Slayer.
• Zilyana can use Magic and Ranged attacks. These attacks have low max hits (magic attack has 20 damage and melee has 27 damage max), but they are extremely accurate, and Zilyana also has an attack speed of 2 ticks, which is the equivalent of darts. So never engage Zilyana with melee.
• If you are using Ranged, pray to protect from magic. If you are using Magic, pray to protect from missiles.
• Zilyana can’t make any attacks if you are not in her melee range.
• The three bodyguards that Zilyana has are the weakest in God Wars Dungeon, which is one of the reasons why it is so easy to farm her.
• Always kite the boss around to avoid taking any damage.

Kiting Strategy

You can kill Zilyana with an easy kiting method. Having higher Agility and precise clicks will allow you to even do this method without any stamina potions. Here is how it works:

1. The tiles can be downloaded from the Tile Packs plugin on Runelite. Red tiles are the “attack” tiles and the yellow ones are the “walk” tiles.
2. The picture above is only for the first kill of your trip.
3. Start on the green tile labeled as 1.
4. Attack once and move towards the green tile labeled as 2.
5. From there, walk to yellow and run to red tile labeled as 4 and attack.
6. Go around the room doing this until the boss dies.

This one is the actual tiles we are going to use for every kill except the first one.

1. Start on the blue tile labeled as 1 and attack once.
2. Run to tile 2 and attack again.
3. As soon as you attack, click on the yellow tile, then on tile 3, and attack once again.
4. Click on the yellow to walk, then run to the 4th tile, and so on.
5. On the last 12th tile, attack and run towards tile 2 to restart the cycle.

Doing this will make you conserve your stamina whilst always being safe from Zilyana. Enabling your character's true tile from the Tile Indicators plugin from Runelite is also recommended if you are unfamiliar with movement in OSRS.

Alternatively, you can use Ice Barrage to freeze Zilyana and kill her that way.

Now, let’s talk about different gear setups and inventories to kill Zilyana. We are going to start from the strongest setup against this boss.

Shadow Setup

This setup is the strongest one you can use to farm Zilyana. The items here shouldn’t be changed or downgraded at all as it will create a significant DPS decrease which will make this method bad. Here are the items that you need:

• Head: Ancestral hat
• Neck: Occult necklace
• Cape: Mage Arena 2 cape
• Body: Ancestral robe top
• Legs: Ancestral robe bottom
• Weapon: Tumuken’s shadow
• Shield: Elidnis’ ward (f)
• Ammo: Unholy blessing
• Gloves: Tormented bracelet
• Boots: Eternal boots
• Ring: Lightbearer and Magus Ring

You should use the Magus ring during your kill and switch to your lightbearer after Zilyana is dead to restore your special attack. This is crucial to stay there indefinitely, as we will be utilizing an Eldritch nightmare staff for stat restoration.

Inventory Setup

• Eldritch Nightmare staff
• Kodai wand or any staff that can autocast ancient magicks
• Saturated heart
• Divine rune pouch with blood and ice barrage runes
• Bones to peaches tablets
• Ecumenical key (optional)
• A one-click teleport out (optional)
• 4 Anglerfish
• 1 Saradomin brew
• 14 - 16 Super restores
• 2 Stamina potions or Purple sweet stack

So if you are good at your clicks and have a higher Agility level, you can conserve your run energy after each kill by turning it off whilst killing the minions. If not, you can bring 2-4 stamina potions or a purple sweet stack to help you out with your energy.

To heal, we are going to use the Eldritch Nightmare staff alongside Blood Barrage. After you kill Zilyana, take out the mage bodyguard and stack the melee minion with the ranged one. Cast Ice Barrage to freeze them, walk a tile away, and turn on your Protect from Ranged prayer. After that, start casting your Blood Barrage to safely lifesteal and kill these two minions. If you need further healing, you can use the Bones to Peaches tablets for food.

Max Ranged Setup

This setup works the same way as the Magic one. The difference is that the defensive bonuses of Ranged are much higher than the Mage setup. If you have this much money to spend, however, always pick the Magic setup over this. You can downgrade the following gear to full Crystal Armor with BOWFA as well.

• Head: Masori mask (f) / Armadyl helmet
• Neck: Necklace of anguish
• Cape: Dizana’s quiver / Ava’s assembler
• Body: Masori body (f) / Armadyl chestplate
• Legs: Masori chaps (f) / Armadyl chainskirt
• Weapon: Twisted bow
• Ammo: Dragon arrows
• Gloves: Zaryte vambraces / Barrows gloves
• Boots: Pegasian boots / God d’hide boots
• Ring: Ring of suffering (ri) / Venator ring

Inventory Setup

• 3-4 Stamina potions
• 2 Divine bastion potions
• 6-12 Restores
• 8-16 Saradomin Brews or food
• Ecumenical key (optional)
• One-click teleport out
• Stack of purple sweets (optional)

Magic Switch Method

• 3-way magic switch: A staff that can auto-cast Ancient Magicks, Occult necklace, and one other magic-boosting gear
• Divine rune pouch with Ice and Blood Barrage runes
• Bones to Peaches tablets
• Toxic blowpipe

Ranged Switch Method

• Toxic blowpipe
• Serpentine helm
• Divine rune pouch with: Law, Nature, Dust, and Steam runes. These runes will allow you to cast Trollheim Teleport, High Level Alchemy, Teleport to House, and Bones to Peaches while only taking up one inventory slot!

Let’s talk about the gear choices here. If you are going for the magic switch option, you can bring way less food and way more restores since you can heal with magic. It uses the same methods explained above, where you will be freezing the remaining two bodyguards and blood barraging health from them. Alternatively, you can use Ice Barrage to freeze Zilyana to avoid wasting run energy, which can free up some inventory slots.

If you choose to bring the ranged switch, you might be confused as to what the Serpentine Helmet is doing there. Well, at the start of the fight, you can equip your Serp Helm and Blowpipe and hit each bodyguard once for a guaranteed venom proc. This will help speed up the bodyguard kills after you are done with Zilyana.

Budget Ranged Setup

Just like we mentioned at the beginning, Zilyana is the easiest boss to farm in God Wars Dungeon, so even if you are broke, you can still get kills pretty consistently. If you have the money for it, upgrade any piece of equipment you can (weapon is the most important one).

• Head: Verac’s Helmet
• Neck: Amulet of Glory
• Cape: Ava’s Assembler
• Body: Karil’s Leathertop
• Legs: Karil’s Letherskirt
• Weapon: Dragon Crossbow
• Shield: Book of Law / Odium Ward
• Ammo: Dragon Diamond Bolts (e)
• Gloves: Barrows Gloves
• Boots: God D’hide Boots
• Ring: Ring of Suffering (ri) / Archer’s Ring (i)

Inventory Setup

• Ancient staff or sceptre
• Mystic robe top
• Occult necklace
• Toxic blowpipe
• 2-4 Stamina potions
• Bones to Peaches tablets
• Divine rune pouch with Ice and Blood Barrage runes
• One-click teleport out
• 2 Divine bastion potions
• 6 Saradomin brews
• 10 Super restores

Use the methods mentioned above to kill Zilyana with ease, the only difference should be the kill times.
