PoE League Start: First 20 Divines Fast
05.12.2025 - 06:49:50
Game Guides , Path of Exile

The Divine Orb in Path of Exile is a very important currency for the PoE league start, not only for its primary purpose of changing the values of existing modifiers on your gear, but also for its value when it comes to trading items. Endgame items, which include the popular Mageblood and the new Foulborn Uniques in the Keepers of the Flame expansion, require multiple Divine Orbs (or “Divines” for short).
That said, the first few days of a new league are the most crucial part of your journey, whether you are just a player enjoying the game or someone who wants to sell items for a profit. How you spend your Divine Orbs in the first 72 hours can influence how quickly you can gear up and progress your character into a new league.
If you can quickly finish the campaign ahead of 90% of the game’s population, it will open up doors for you to get rich! You’ll be able to supply the community with the items that it needs to flourish, while facing pretty much no competition.
If you are looking for a resource that gives you practical advice on how you can get Divine Orbs quickly, then I am glad you are here. For today, I will tell you what you should do with your first 20 Divine Orbs to set yourself up for success!
Understanding Early-League Economics
First and foremost, a Divine Orb is a rare PoE Currency that can randomly drop from monsters or treasure chests. It has a couple of important functions in the game. For one, it is used to change the numerical values of existing modifiers on an item (that is still well within their specific ranges). Besides that, the Divine Orb is the main currency used to trade for endgame items. The aforementioned Mageblood, for example, costs 180 Divines on average.

In the next sections, I will cover why this single PoE currency can affect your progression in the game, and what you could do to earn a lot of it in the new league.
Why the First 20 Divines Are the Most Important
The first 20 Divine Orbs that you can get while progressing normally through the game are very important for a number of reasons. These rare orbs allow you to purchase gear that is required by your build to function optimally.
For instance, if I had 20 Divine Orbs in my possession, I would use them to buy a six-linked body armor so that my primary skill would have all five support gems, making it stronger and able to defeat more powerful monsters.
Your early Divines can also be utilized to buy suitable upgrades. The Tabula Rasa is a solid leveling unique item in Path of Exile because of its six-linked sockets right off the bat. The issue? It does not provide any armor or defensive stats at all! Hence, your 20 Divine Orbs can be used to purchase a six-linked evasion armor for your Lightning Arrow Deadeye, for example.
In addition, you could use your Divine Orbs to buy Essences. In the first week of a new league, the Essence of Horror is always quite expensive, particularly because of its effect of allowing you to add the “30% More Elemental Damage” modifier on a suitable helmet. This is often the strategy utilized by those who play the Righteous Fire Chieftain because that mod is too powerful to pass up. Remember, the stronger your character becomes, the better it is at farming better gear and currency.
As you can see, the viable strategy here is that you spend your first set of Divine Orbs on yourself to allow you to have a character that can farm harder content. Think of this as “seed money,” where you invest in yourself for a promise of a better profit in the future.
This is only viable if you are really fast. As mentioned earlier, the first few days of a new league are crucial because those who are able to reach red maps in that span have a better foothold on the market.
If you move ahead of others and are able to supply them with the gear that they need, you will earn a lot of Divine Orbs as a result! That is why you have to have a racer’s mentality because getting to the finish line before others bodes well for you.
Basically, your roadmap in the first week of a PoE league start is:
- Finish the campaign as quickly as possible.
- Farm your first set of Divine Orbs.
- Use 20 Divine Orbs as investment (the “seed money”).
- Get to the red maps as soon as possible.
- Supply gear that other people require for their builds (from the items that you get from farming in red maps).
- Profit!
What Resets at League Start?

Are you a PoE beginner? If so, you need to be acquainted with some mechanics in the game to truly understand the topic at hand.
Grinding Gear Games (GGG), the developer of Path of Exile, launches a new league every four months. This “league” promises new content, items, and mechanics for you to enjoy. The term “league start” basically refers to starting with a fresh economy. This means that you are going to start from scratch with nothing but a starter weapon and some skill gems.
That is why the PoE league start is fun because it’s a race against time. Those who are able to reach red maps very quickly will have much success over those who take their time taking in the new content.
Aside from a fresh economy, market prices are influenced by the demand, which is dictated by the viable league starter builds. For example, the Kinetic Blast Elementalist is a solid league starter that requires The Fledgling unique helmet to blaze through the red maps and into endgame bossing.
For those who do not know, a league starter is a build that can work on budget gear. It also scales really well; the more PoE Currency you put into it, which is why the trade market is always influenced by what league starters are great for the new league.
If you ask me who dictates the viable league starters, it is none other than the developers from GGG. They introduce new mechanics and implement various balancing changes, so which builds are amazing for the PoE league start is entirely up to the devs.
Anyway, what items are in high demand these days? Well, the Keepers of the Flame expansion introduced the new “Foulborn Uniques,” which are almost the same as existing unique items in the game, albeit with interesting new modifiers.
The Foulborn Esh’s Mirror is a very popular item for the aforementioned Kinetic Blast Elementalist. Unlike its original version, which spreads the elemental ailment “Shock” to nearby enemies, this Foulborn Unique makes your hits shock enemies that are below 50% of their maximum HP.
With how Kinetic Blast works, damaging enemies in a relatively large area per cast, it is no wonder that the Foulborn Esh’s Mirror is a solid choice for the Kinetic Blast Elementalist in Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame.
Most unique items that many PoE builds use drop randomly in red maps. The evergreen unique item that always sells well is the Mageblood. It is a pretty rare unique item, yes, but it can potentially drop for you in a random farming session while mapping. If you are lucky to have it in the first week of a new league, you can either sell it to buy better gear or use it yourself if your build shines with it equipped.
Other unique items like the Headhunter, Svalinn, and Kalandra’s Touch are random drops from T16 or T17 monsters as well. That is why I am always going to reiterate this: Whoever reaches Tier 16 red maps first will be filthy rich by the end of Week 2! Why? Because they are able to provide items that the community requires, giving them so much profit in the process!
Fast Mapping for Consistent Early Currency
Okay, the next sections will involve certain strategies that you can employ to help you farm your early Divine Orbs. If you are interested in knowing how to gain profit before anyone else, then I highly suggest that you read and understand each section of this guide.
Choose the Right Build
What build you choose in Path of Exile will greatly affect how quickly you can progress through the campaign and into mapping. Ideally, you want a build that uses a skill that deals considerable damage with a relatively low investment. Here are some suggestions:
- Kinetic Blast Elementalist: Only requires a good wand to start blasting. Invest in The Fledgling and Foulborn Esh Mirror to reach endgame maps as quickly as possible.
- Lightning Arrow Deadeye: This is a very solid league starter. You can craft a suitable bow using Shrieking Essences of Wrath until you get three elemental damage modifiers. When you have your 20 Divine Orbs, invest in a Headhunter to unlock its true potential.
- Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder: A solid league starter that is only locked behind an ascendancy class, the Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder is easy to pull off. Buy a Dendrobate to deal absurd amounts of damage. The Dendrobate only costs Chaos Orbs, allowing you to breeze through maps without burning a hole in your pocket.
- Reap Exsanguinate Elementalist: Although this is a DoT build, the Reap Exsanguinate Elementalist deals good damage with cheap unique items. Obtain The Poet’s Pen to automate Reap. After that, get The Dark Monarch to effectively double the number of golems that you can summon at a time.
- Earthshatter Berserker: Fueled by Rage, the Earthshatter Berserker has no problems demolishing anything and everything in its path. It is very cheap to put up; you just need a strong six-linked weapon, and you’re good to go! Buy the Echoes of Creation on the second day, and you should be able to delete bosses with this build.
- Righteous Fire Chieftain: Another build that is a consistent frontrunner during PoE league start, the Righteous Fire Chieftain is not only tanky, but also a good map farmer in the early days of a new league. I wouldn’t use this for bossing, though, because its damage is not that great with the items that you can get in the first week. However, it can certainly kill bosses just fine when you have invested some PoE Currency into it.
Allocate the Right Atlas Passives
Another strategy that many currency farmers use during PoE League Start is allocating the right passive nodes on the Atlas Tree. Running maps will jumpstart your Atlas Progression, thus providing you with points that you can use to improve your mapping or bossing strategies.
Anyway, start pathing towards the right of the passive tree, allocating Obsessed with Vengeance for a 20% chance that the maps you run will contain Jun and the Betrayal Mechanic. After that, go to the middle and get most of the nodes that have something to do with Kirac Missions, such as Expect the Unexpected and Commissioned Officer.
From there, head right and take “Shaping the Mountains” to get a free map crafting option. This particular node makes the maps you find have a chance to become a tier higher, which is helpful in reaching the red maps as quickly as possible.

When you have Shaping the Mountains already, go up and take Eldritch Gaze. Make sure that you click on the Eater of Worlds icon on your Map Device if you haven’t already. This increases the downsides of the choices that will be presented to you while mapping, making enemies tougher, but with a promise of better rewards.
The reason why you want to go for the Eater of Worlds is that you will occasionally come across an altar that significantly boosts the drop rate of Divine Orbs. Of course, this is extremely rare, but if you are lucky enough to get one during the PoE league start, then you are going to be way ahead of the competition for sure!

Next, head to the top-center portion of the Atlas Tree and then head slightly to the left to take the nodes that influence Smuggler’s Caches in maps. These are No Honour Among Thieves and Casing the Joint.
These Smuggler’s Caches are incredible because they not only drop maps to help with your map sustain while farming, but they also drop Blueprints that you can either sell for a profit or use yourself to farm currency in Heist.
If you have problems sustaining maps, search for the “Adjacent Map Drop Chance” minor nodes on the tree. They usually connect to major nodes (like the ones mentioned above), though their main purpose is to increase the drop rate of maps while you farm.
How about Essences? Are they great for currency farming and helping you achieve your first 20 Divine Orbs? Well, that depends on the league. In Path of Exile: Keepers of the Flame, for example, Essences are fine, though they are not the heavy money-makers in this league.
Apart from several types of Essences, you are better off doing Jun or Kirac Missions, since they provide you with more items that you can sell on the trade market.

What Items to Loot Early?
During a PoE league start, there are certain items that provide more bang for the buck. Refer to the table below for more information:
| Item | Early Value | Tips |
|---|---|---|
| Essence of Horror | 14-20 Chaos Orbs each | Use Vaal Orbs on Essence monsters that contain Essence of Envy, Misery, Dread, and Scorn for a chance to spawn Essence of Horror. |
| Deafening Essence of Contempt | 7-10 Chaos Orbs each | Used primarily by melee builds that deal physical damage. If melee builds are popular before the league launch, then sell these in bulk. |
| Deafening Essence of Loathing | 6-8 Chaos Orbs each | Has many practical applications, including mana reservation efficiency on helmets, increased crit chance on weapons, and chance to avoid elemental ailments on boots. |
| Deafening Essence of Zeal | 6-8 Chaos Orbs each | Adds the attack speed modifier on weapons and gloves, making it a great option for attack-based skills that use Kinetic Blast, Lightning Arrow, etc. |
| Prismatic Oil | 40 Chaos Orbs Each | A valuable oil that allows you to anoint special notable passive skills on your amulet. Drops in T13+ Blighted Maps. |
| Silver Oil | 19-22 Chaos Orbs Each | Used for anointing high-level notable passive skills on the amulet. Drops in Blighted Maps. |
| Golden Oil | 25-30 Chaos Orbs Each | Used for anointing high-level notable passive skills on the amulet. Drops in Blighted Maps. |
| Tainted Oil | 12-25 Chaos Orbs Each | Allows you to anoint corrupted amulets. Drops in Corrupted Blighted Maps. |
| The Apothecary | 700-720 Chaos Orbs each | This Divination Card gives you a Mageblood when you have five of them. You can either collect several of these for yourself or sell each card to the trade market for a huge amount of Chaos Orbs. Drops from the Defiled Cathedral. |
Take note that the above-mentioned prices are only for the first couple of days in a new league. That is why it is crucial that you reach endgame maps before everyone does, so that you can supply them with the items that they need.
While Essences provide good value in the first week of a PoE league start, I highly recommend that you do Blighted Maps instead. Practically all builds in Path of Exile can use notable passive skills that are anointed on their amulets, making oils a definitive choice no matter what league it is.
The Apothecary deserves a special mention because collecting five of them will give you a Mageblood. In case you do not know, the Mageblood is a unique item that activates four of your magic utility flasks at all times. This effect is enjoyed by the vast majority of the population, which is why it is one of those "evergreen" items that always sell on the market.
Example Timeline
So, what is the ideal timeline if you want to be the first one to profit from a league start in Path of Exile? Well, you should reach early maps within four hours of the launch of a new league. For you to achieve this feat, you have to do the following:
- Skip all of the story bits of the campaign.
- Only do the most important quests to advance to the later areas.
- Only do quests that provide additional skills.
- Avoid side quests like the plague.
- Choose skill/support gems that improve your particular build.
- Most importantly, choose a "speedy" league starter.
After you are finished with the campaign, you will be given some white maps for you to start mapping. As you gain more passive skill points, allocate the appropriate nodes on the Atlas Tree to improve your mapping experience and drop rates.
When you reach Tier 5, and you start to struggle against enemies, purchase suitable upgrades for your build. Always buy a six-linked armor if you haven’t already, and then proceed with the weapon. These two items provide a considerable improvement, both in terms of the time it takes to kill enemies and in mapping efficiency. If you can tackle the yellow maps without dying, then proceed to the red maps ASAP.
Things start to get really challenging in the red maps because monsters will have more modifiers, life, and damage. If it takes more than five minutes for you to clear a red map, go back to yellow maps and make your character stronger.
Remember, five minutes is your threshold. You shouldn’t go beyond that number because efficiency in completing maps is key to early league progress. Staying ahead of the competition is certainly one way to earn your first 20 Divine Orbs!
All in all, you should already be mapping within 10 hours of a new league. This is the most crucial time of your PoE journey because any minute that goes by that you are not mapping is another step for someone else to take your place (and win big in the market).
Early Bossing for High-Value Drops
For the uninitiated, certain unique items can only drop from bosses in Path of Exile. The Echoes of Creation mentioned earlier, for example, can only be obtained by defeating the Uber Shaper.
That said, killing the more difficult bosses in the game is a good idea in the first four days of a new league. This is because most of the population still do not have the power and the means to tackle them, which is why taking them down first is always a good idea during the PoE league start!
Anyway, here is the list of the most profitable bosses to farm in Path of Exile:
| Boss | Access Cost | Expected Value | Best Drops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sirus | Guardian Crests (15 Chaos Orbs x 4) | 2-5 Divine Orbs |
|
| Shaper/Elder | Guardian’s Fragments (13 Chaos Orbs x 4) | 2-10 Divine Orbs |
|
| Eater of Worlds | Screaming Invitation (55-60 Chaos Orbs) | 1-80 Divine Orbs |
|
| Searing Exarch | Incandescent Invitation (132 Chaos Orbs) | 1-80 Divine Orbs |
|
| The Maven | The Maven’s Writ (free after 10 invitations) | 1-120 Divine Orbs |
|
Why Early Bossing Pays Well
The easiest to accomplish among the list of bosses is The Maven. You only need to defeat 10 map bosses that are witnessed by the said boss to get invitations via the Crescent Splinter. When you have 10 Crescent Splinters, it will automatically convert into The Maven’s Writ, which you can use on your Map Device to teleport yourself directly to the boss encounter.

The Maven has some pretty awesome boss drops, including the Legacy of Fury, Doppelganger guise, and the Progenesis.
Legacy of Fury is a staple among Righteous Fire Chieftains, as it scorches and damages nearby enemies per second. These unique boots also provide 30% increased movement speed and up to 300% armor and evasion.
The Doppelganger Guise is a solid defensive option. This unique body armor is mainly used by Viper Strike of the Mamba Pathfinders to improve their survivability, especially in T17 maps.
When it comes to gaining multiple Divine Orbs, Progenesis takes the cake (at least, from what you can get from The Maven). The Progenesis is a unique flask that takes a portion of the damage you receive and doles that out over time (4 seconds) instead of in an instant. The 4-second window is enough to let you leech life off of your enemies, allowing you to live to fight another day.
Since you are allocating Eater of Worlds nodes, you might as well go face-to-face with the boss as well. You need a Screaming Invitation for that, which drops after every 28 red maps (specifically T14 and above) that you accomplish.

The Eater of Worlds is one of the profitable bosses in the game because it drops some very valuable items like the Nimis and the Forbidden Flesh. The former is a unique ring that makes projectiles return to you at the cost of firing in random directions. The latter, on the other hand, gives you a specific ascendancy node. The Forbidden Flesh must be combined with Forbidden Flame for the ascendancy node to take effect.

You could also do Uber Shaper and Uber Elder, but since they are quite time-consuming, you might as well just do them in the second or third week of a new league. If you’re so inclined, just sell any fragments that you obtain from defeating the fragment bosses.

Sirus is fine. He drops some profitable items like Oriath’s End and Thread of Hope. However, just like the Uber Shaper/Elder, it requires a lot of time to gather the fragments to fight him. Again, selling the fragments that you get from the four Conquerors is a good idea. Have other people do it while you get rich fighting The Maven or The Eater of Worlds.

Fighting these bosses early on in the league will allow you to obtain some pretty expensive unique items that you can sell for a profit. The Maven and The Eater of Worlds are by far the easiest among the bunch. They drop valuable loot as well.
Entry Setup for Bossing
If you are going to do the bossing route to get rich in Path of Exile, then you must use a build that is competent enough to survive (and thrive). Bosses in PoE, especially early in the league, are quite formidable, so you definitely have to be prepared before you go and face them.
Having said that, here are some of the best bossing builds that I can recommend:
| Build | Required Budget | Bossing Strengths | Key Early Gear |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boneshatter Juggernaut | 3-8 Divine Orbs | High life pool and strong damage output with modest gear | Six-linked Despot Axe, Carnage Heart, The Brass Dome |
| Exsanguinate Mines Trickster | 1-3 Divine Orbs | Mine playstyle is safe. Exsanguinate deals considerable damage | Hrimsorrow, Kikazaru, Weapon with + physical skills |
| Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing Pathfinder | 1-5 Divine Orbs | Flask projectiles can chain multiple times on a single target. Easy to put up | Asenath’s Gentle Touch, Dendrobate, Fury Valve |
| Lightning Arrow Deadeye | 2-8 Divine Orbs | Strong damage output. A bit squishy without strong defensive options | Tri-element bow, The Fledgling, The Taming |
| Kinetic Blast Elementalist | 1-5 Divine Orbs | Much easier to pull off than the Deadeye version. Also a bit tanky due to various golems that the build can summon | Inpulsa’s Broken Heart, The Fledgling, Hrimsorrow |
For minimum DPS thresholds, your build should be capable of dealing 3 to 5 million DPS. This should allow you to dispatch The Maven or The Eater of Worlds quite easily. However, if you are going to go against their “uber” versions, your DPS should be in the tens of millions (this is not important during the first week of the league, but it’s something to shoot for).
For flasks, go for defensive flasks like the Jade Flask for evasion-based builds or the Granite Flask for armor-based builds. Of course, having a Life Flask or two won’t hurt, especially since we are talking about very early league start scenarios.
Expected Divine Orb Returns
Realistically, you could earn anywhere between 10 and 50 Divine Orbs in the first week of a new league, depending on how efficient you are in farming maps and killing bosses.
Always remember that the harder the content, the more rewarding it will be. If you choose mapping as your Divine Orb farming strategy, here are some useful tips:
- If your build can handle the tougher monsters, always juice your maps by using cartographer’s chisels to improve map quality, scarabs to add more loot and additional content, and certain fragments to increase monster density.
- Blighted Maps are another great way to earn plenty of Chaos Orbs and Divine Orbs. Sell the oils that you receive from farming this mechanic, and you should be able to get your first 20 Divine Orbs in a matter of hours.
- Allocate essence nodes on the Atlas Tree to influence more Essences to spawn in maps. Always carry Vaal Orbs with you for a chance to receive the Essence of Horror.
If you like eliminating bosses, here are some bossing tips that may aid you in your conquest:
- Always invest in good gear before fighting any of the pinnacle bosses. Start with a six-linked body armor, then a good weapon. If your build needs a particular unique item to function, invest in that as well.
- Have at least 4,500 HP to make it a bit more comfortable when fighting The Maven or The Eater of Worlds. Keep in mind that pinnacle bosses are called such for a reason: They hit hard and kill those who are not prepared.
- Skip the Uber Elder/Shaper and Sirus during the first week of a new league. That is because it requires a lot of time to farm the fragments and keys to fight them. However, this changes when you have a dedicated group, where there are members who are specifically assigned to farm fragments and another to face these pinnacle bosses head-on.
Low-Risk Early Flipping
Item Flipping in Path of Exile refers to buying useful items for a low price on the trade market and then selling them at a higher price for profit. This requires a bit of a strategy, and it works best if you have a partner with you.
The reason why this is ideally a two-man operation is that one of you will be the one to snipe on good deals on PoE Trade, and the other is assigned to do all of the farming.
Flipping requires a bit of an investment, so you definitely need some PoE Chaos Orbs with you if you’re going to use this strategy. Once you have Divine Orbs in your possession, you begin buying the more expensive stuff.
Here is a table that lists all of the items that you can flip for a profit:
| Item | Buy (Day 1) | Sell (Day 2 and 3) | Reason for Item Flip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tabula Rasa | 18 Chaos Orbs | 30 to 50 Chaos Orbs | Six-linked body armor that works for all builds during league start |
| Deafening Essences | 1 to 10 Chaos Orbs | 10 to 30 Chaos Orbs | These are the top-tier essences that provide the most stats (compared to lower tiers) |
| Fracturing Orb | 125 Chaos Orbs | 180 to 200 Chaos Orbs | Used for “fracturing” a random modifier. Primarily utilized for endgame crafting |
| Golden Oil | 25 Chaos Orbs | 35 to 50 Chaos Orbs | Utilized for anointing higher-level notable passive skills on the amulet |
| Screaming Invitation | 28 Chaos Orbs | 35 to 70 Chaos Orbs | Required for accessing The Eater of Worlds boss fight |
Take note that the Tabula Rasa falls in price after the first week of a new league. That is why it’s imperative that you sell them within 72 hours to ensure maximum profits. It can be obtained either as a random drop from defeating enemies or by collecting nine Vanity or Humility divination cards.
The Deafening Essences are always worth it, no matter what stage of the league it is. This is because essences are used for crafting endgame weapons and armor, which is something that a sizable portion of the community does on a regular basis.
Speaking of crafting, the Fracturing Orb is an item crafter’s best friend. What it does is it locks a random modifier in place and is no longer going to be removed with things like essences or Orbs of Scouring.
The Screaming Invitation is always going to be quite profitable. Of course, if you are going to flip it, do it in the first two weeks of the league. The price of this particular invitation drops exponentially after that, so do keep that in mind.
Here are some tips for item flipping in PoE:
- Research the most viable builds during league start and study the items that they use.
- Buy fast and sell fast.
- Have one or two players help you with this. One will be the dedicated “hideout warrior” who will snipe good deals on trade. The other is the one to farm Chaos Orbs and Divine Orbs.
- Remember that the market is highly volatile. An item that is popular today might be worth nothing next week. So act quickly!
In terms of Divine Orbs, it is quite hard to say. However, expecting roughly 50 to 100 Divine Orbs in the first week is safe. As to whether you can earn more than that, it really depends on your strategy and how well you plan things accordingly.
Optional Acceleration: How a Small Currency Purchase Helps
Just like in life, having a little boost really helps you go a long way. The same thing can be said in Path of Exile. Buying Divine Orbs really gets you ahead of the competition, but this is a concept that divides the community.
In the next sections, I will go over some reasons why a small purchase of PoE Currency is actually quite helpful to your cause, and is safe to do as long as you know how things are done.
Why Some Players Buy a Small Currency Starter Pack
A good way to earn Divine Orbs through mapping, bossing, and item flipping is to rush through the campaign and get good gear while doing so. However, this only truly works if luck is on your side. What if you are not that lucky? That is where a small currency starter pack comes in.
Getting our Divine Orb Stash, for example, allows you to have enough Divines to purchase good gear right off the bat. Think about equipping your character with a solid weapon that deals good damage, and a six-linked armor to house all of the support gems that your main skill requires.
When you are able to get some solid equipment, earning Divine Orbs from that point onward becomes a trivial task. This is true whether you choose mapping or bossing as your currency farming strategy.
Another good reason why some players buy a small currency starter pack is that they want to avoid the arduous grind. Getting through the campaign is one thing; having the items to flourish in the endgame is another.
Safe Currency Buying Basics
Okay, so you are convinced that you should buy a currency starter pack. However, since this is your first time, you are probably having second thoughts. Well, I am here to assure you that buying PoE currency is a safe endeavor, so long as you know what to do.
Here are some solid tips:
Choose Reputable Sellers
There are legitimate platforms that provide PoE Currency that are safe to transact with. RPGStash, for example, has been in the business shortly after Path of Exile came out. Our years of experience have allowed us to fine-tune our services to cater to the needs of every player.
Look for social proof like reviews and comments about a particular platform. After that, take a gander at their official websites. If they look well-made, then that is a good sign that they can be trusted.
Avoid Sharing Your Login Credentials
A reputable PoE Currency seller will never ask for your account credentials at all. The seller will just ask your preferred mode of delivery, what item you want to order, and what platform you are playing the game on. That’s it!
Only Trade in Public Locations
You should be the one to tell the seller when and where to trade the items you have purchased off their platform. If you want to do it in your hideout, then they must abide. Should the seller tell you no for some reason, then you might want to look elsewhere.
Expect Fast and Clean Delivery
Time is of the essence during a PoE league start. The main reason why you wanted to purchase a currency starter pack is to get ahead of everyone else, right? Hence, a good PoE Currency seller is one that can deliver the goods as quickly and safely as possible.
Example Use Case
So, what will you do with your first Divine Orbs when purchasing from a reputable source? Well, you should use it to buy some upgrades, particularly your body armor and weapon.
After that, you could use whatever currency you have left to buy a level 20 skill gem so that you can deal huge amounts of damage. Leveling a skill gem in Path of Exile requires an exorbitant amount of time, so buying max-level skill gems is a viable thing to do when you have the currency.
Other suitable upgrades include:
- Unique items that your build can use
- Jewels to improve various aspects of your build
- Flasks with the right mods
FAQ
How Fast Can You Realistically Earn 20 Divines in a New PoE League?
This really depends on a number of factors, such as what builds you are using, what items you can secure during the first day, and what strategy you are going to employ (mapping or bossing).
Realistically, you can earn your first 20 Divine Orbs within 48 to 72 hours. You can go lower than that if you somehow get lucky and receive profitable unique items while farming.
What is the Most Stable Early-League Strategy?
I recommend two things if you want a consistent and stable strategy for farming PoE Currency. The first is farming T16 maps on the very first day. Tier 16 red maps give you a considerable chance of acquiring coveted unique items, which you can sell for a profit.
Blighted Maps are also a thing. These special maps reward you with various oils, which are used for anointing notable passive skills on your amulet. Things like the Opalescent Oil, Prismatic Oil, Golden Oil, and Tainted Oil sell really well during the first week of a PoE league start.
Find the strategy that works for you and your playstyle. Just maintain consistency and efficiency to ensure that you are actually earning Divine Orbs in the process.
Which Mapping Strategies Work on Day 1?
Do T8 or T10 yellow maps until you can equip your character with the right pieces of gear. If you can finish these maps in under three minutes, go a tier higher until you get to Tier 16.
Use the “Alch and Go” method of mapping, where you use the Orb of Alchemy to turn a normal map into a rare map with several modifiers. These mods make the content more challenging, but you will be rewarded for that as a result.
Are “Speedy” Builds Better for the First Week?
Yes. Builds that are able to reach Tier 16 maps during the first 72 hours of a new league are always the best. Take note that you actually have to know how to use that speedy build. Otherwise, your map-clearing times will suffer.
How Much Can Casual Players Earn in the Early Days of a League?
Casual players, or those who can only play about 1-3 hours per day, can earn anywhere between 1 and 5 Divine Orbs in week one. This doesn’t consider the build they play and the knowledge that they have about the game.
The rate of earning Divine Orbs rises when the casual player has at least a basic understanding of the endgame.
What Items Sell the Fastest in Week 1?
- Deafening Essences (Loathing, Contempt, Zeal)
- Essence of Horror
- Fracturing Orb
- Exalted Orb
- Tabula Rasa
- Chromatic Orb
- Jeweller’s Orb
Is Item Flipping Early Risky?
It is not if you know what you’re doing. Prior research is required so that you know which items sell quickly for a particular league.
Furthermore, it is best that item flipping is done with at least two people involved. One will be assigned to farm currency, while the other looks for good deals on the market to flip.
Do You Need Premium Tabs to Flip Efficiently?
Yes, but you might want to buy the new Merchant Tabs as well. With Merchant Tabs, you can easily put items up for sale without lifting a finger. Players can visit your hideout, open your Merchant Tab, and buy the item directly from there.
Premium Stash Tabs allow you to place items that will be visible on the trade website. However, you still need to trade the item yourself, which may reduce efficiency. Having both options available is beneficial.
Using both Premium Tabs and Merchant Tabs should help you sell more items quickly, giving players the choice to trade face-to-face or buy without user intervention.
Is Buying a Small Amount of PoE Currency Safe?
Absolutely! Make sure to buy currency only from reputable sources with good reviews and social proof. Never give out your login credentials, even if asked.
PoE League Start First 20 Divine Orbs: Conclusion
Earning 20 Divine Orbs in the first week of a PoE league start is achievable with the right plan of action.
Upon creating your character, finish the campaign immediately, skipping all cutscenes and story bits to save time. Your goal is to reach white maps in under four hours.
As you progress through your Atlas, allocate nodes to improve your chances of obtaining items while mapping. Killing bosses for their unique item drops is also viable, though best for players with some game knowledge.
Remember that the first 72 hours of a new PoE league are crucial. Being ahead allows you to farm items in demand, helping you earn more than 20 Divine Orbs.
