Judgeman Domain

So, let’s talk about the Judgeman domain expansion. Here's how it works: you essentially trap your opponent inside a courtroom and then engage in a game of rock-paper-scissors. So, let’s break it down.

If you win the rock-paper-scissors, you get the Executioner Sword. Now, this sword is a game-changer. To briefly explain how it works: once you have the Executioner Sword, your M1 attacks will deal insane amounts of damage.

When we were testing it, our M1s were hitting for around 2,000 to 3,000 damage each. And that’s not all—you also get a one-shot skill. So, if you get the Executioner Sword, you’re pretty much guaranteed to take out your opponent.

Now, if you tie in the game of rock-paper-scissors while using Judgeman, the curse technique is confiscated. In that case, you’re left with some regular domain buffs, such as increased speed and defense.

On the other hand, if you lose the rock-paper-scissors game, you don’t get the Executioner Sword, but you still gain the usual domain buffs like speed and defense.

When it comes to using Judgeman, we’d say this domain is really more suited for PvP than PvE. If you try to use it in PvE, you’ll only be trapping one or two NPCs inside the courtroom, which isn’t really worth it.

Sure, the Executioner Sword is a gamble, but you have about a 33% chance of winning. The catch is that you also have a 66.666% chance of losing.

We’re not sure why you’d want to risk that, especially when you only have one domain shard (or maybe two, if you’re lucky), and they’re pretty rare. If you're going to use a domain like this, I’d definitely recommend sticking to PvP.

Even in PvP, though, Judgeman isn't necessarily the best option. You're essentially gambling your chances at getting that Executioner Sword, and sometimes that gamble might not pay off. In our opinion, you’re taking more of a risk with this domain than with other ones.

Judgeman Domain Expansion

So, for us, this domain is one we would only recommend if you're a fan of Higuma and enjoy the way the domain works. If you're okay with occasionally missing out on the rewards, then it’s worth considering. But overall, it’s definitely more of a niche choice, and it’s not one we’d go for if you're not into the whole risk factor.

Now, let’s move on to the next domain, which I think is going to be a bit underrated...

Volcano Domain Expansion

Next up is the Volcano domain, which is a pretty interesting one. So, when you activate this domain, you essentially create a coffin made of Iron Mountain.

Inside this domain, everyone caught in it will take passive burn damage over time. It’s a pretty straightforward concept, but the effects can be devastating if used properly.

One thing to keep in mind with this domain is that it has one specific skill—I’m pretty sure it’s either Volcano, Fisher, or Molten Chamber. This skill is the one where you leap up into the air, and when you use it, you create magma puddles all over the floor.

These magma puddles deal insane amounts of burn damage, and that’s stacked on top of the burn damage that the domain already applies passively. So, not only are your enemies taking damage from the domain itself, but the magma puddles amplify that damage even further. It’s a combination that can really rack up the hurt on anyone trapped inside.

Personally, we feel like this domain is going to be underrated, not just because it’s a legendary domain, but also because of the character that uses it. Joo’s domain expansion is honestly really good. It’s a solid, well-rounded domain that has a lot of potential, especially for PvE content.

If you're looking for a domain that works well in PvE, we think this could honestly be one of the best choices. It’s a safe pick, and you can’t really go wrong with it.

For PvP, though, it’s not as strong. The reason for that is that players can stay airborne for long periods, which makes it harder for your skills—like the one that creates magma puddles—to hit consistently.

While this skill can still be effective, there are other domains that might be better suited for PvP where you need more control and less reliance on environmental factors like staying on the ground.

When we think about this domain for PvP, I’d probably give it a rating of 5 to 6 out of 10. It’s okay in PvP, but unless you’re using some crazy technique combination, it’s not going to be the best option.

Keep in mind, though, we’re basing these rankings on just the domain itself. We’re not factoring in extra techniques you might use alongside the domain, like combining it with Hollow Purple or something similar.

Volcano Domain Expansion

Overall, Volcano is a really solid domain that can work in both PvE and PvP, but it’s more suited for PvE. If you want a domain that does both well, we’d definitely recommend giving this one a try. It’s a great option to pick up if you want something reliable. Now, let’s move on to the next domain, which is the last legendary one…

B-Tier

Hydrokinesis Domain Expansion

Let’s talk about Hydrokinesis, which has some interesting mechanics. First off, the domain comes with a passive effect called "Wet." This effect causes anyone caught inside the domain to move slower and deal less damage.

So, The Wet status effect can be useful in certain situations, but it’s not without its downsides.

When you pop the domain, the only skill that stands out as a sure-hit move is Death Swarm. What Death Swarm does is send a swarm of piranhas—or just any type of biting fish—after your opponent, applying both the Wet status effect and causing them to bleed.

It’s a pretty cool concept and a solid skill, but there’s more to consider when evaluating this domain as a whole.

In my opinion, Hydrokinesis is alright, though it’s my personal favorite mainly because of how it looks. The Wet status effect is a double-edged sword, though. While it slows down your opponent and reduces their damage, you have to question its usefulness in PvE.

When you’re facing off against NPCs, why would you want to make your opponent slower and less damaging? Sure, it might help mitigate some of the damage you take, but if you’re using a domain expansion, you likely want to be dishing out as much damage as possible to finish your enemies quickly.

So, for PvE, Hydrokinesis is just okay. It’s not necessarily the best option. The problem with the domain lies in its cooldowns, specifically with Death Swarm. You can only use this move two to three times during your domain.

And we’re not even counting any passive effects from the stat tree, where you can extend the duration by 30 seconds. Regardless, you still have a relatively long cooldown for your only reliable sure-hit move. Once that’s used up, you're just left to fight the person with your basic attacks, so you’re essentially just boxing them.

Hydrokinesis Domain Expansion

Now, for PvP, we really wouldn’t recommend this domain. If you decide to use it for PvP, it should be in a situation where you’re absolutely certain that Death Swarm is going to finish your opponent off.

The reason is that players can use certain techniques, like RC (Cursed Reversal), inside your domain if they get the chance. On top of that, if they have a simple domain, your domain becomes nearly useless. Death Swarm won't do much to players who have simple domain abilities, so it can leave you vulnerable.

For me, Hydrokinesis is a bit underwhelming. It’s not great for PvP or PvE, and it’s really just a mid-tier domain. It has some potential with its Wet passive effect, but the cooldown on Death Swarm and the vulnerability to counter-techniques make it a less favorable choice compared to other domains.

So, in terms of ranking, this one would be closer to the lower-middle tier. It’s a domain that looks cool, but in practice, it’s more situational and doesn’t offer much outside of that.

A-Tier

Star Rage Domain Expansion

Now let’s dive into the Star Rage domain, which has some pretty powerful effects. The first thing you need to know about Star Rage is that when you activate this domain, your passive effect—your Mass Meter—will be permanently filled to 100% for the entire duration of the domain.

This is a huge advantage because it allows you to consistently use your most powerful skills without worrying about managing your meter.

The damage that comes with Star Rage is absolutely insane. If you're looking for a domain that lets you deal huge damage, Star Rage is definitely a strong contender.

We don’t want to say the skills are “unavoidable,” but they are pretty close to it. The skills in this domain have massive AoE (Area of Effect), and once you hit your opponent, the damage is almost guaranteed.

One other aspect that makes Star Rage stand out is the 10% debuff it applies to your opponent. So, when you hit them with your Mass Amplified skills—skills that have huge AoE—you’re going to do a ton of damage.

We had a chance to fight a friend who was using Star Rage, and each of their skills in the domain was dealing around 1,500 to 2,000 damage per hit. That’s a lot of damage in a short amount of time.

But it gets even better. If you have the maximum level for Star Rage, the domain becomes even more powerful. With the full upgrade, you’re essentially one-shotting your opponents without having to worry about dying yourself.

It’s a huge advantage, especially in PvP. If you pop the domain while your opponent is at full health, there’s a high chance you’re going to wipe them out from 100% HP.

For PvP, Star Rage is incredibly strong. If you use this domain, you’ll likely end up killing your opponent in one or two hits, especially if you catch them off guard or in the middle of a fight.

Star Rage Domain Expansion

It’s great at applying pressure, and the 10% debuff makes your opponent much weaker, allowing you to take them out even faster. We’d rate this domain a solid 9 or even a 10 for PvP because it’s just so good at quickly overwhelming your opponent.

As for PvE, it’s still a solid choice, but not quite as game-breaking. The debuff effect still works, and since you’re fighting AI opponents, they won’t be dodging or running away as much as human players would.

You’ll still be hitting them with your powerful, massive AoE skills, which makes it a reliable pick. While we wouldn’t say Star Rage is the absolute best for PvE, it’s definitely a strong choice if you want something that can dish out heavy damage quickly and efficiently.

Overall, Star Rage is one of those domains that you can’t go wrong with. It’s incredibly effective in PvP and still pretty decent in PvE. It’s a domain that does everything right: it boosts your damage, applies a debuff to your opponent, and allows you to deal with both players and AI efficiently. It’s a safe, reliable pick, and it’s hard to go wrong with this one.

Demon Vessel Domain Expansion

Let’s talk about the Demon Vessel domain expansion, which is a pretty simple but effective domain. The core mechanic of this domain is that it generates a series of endless slashes. The short-hit of this domain is essentially you just slashing your opponent for a very long period of time—we’re talking about around a minute.

It’s not the highest damage-per-hit, dealing anywhere from 30 to 70 damage, but the real advantage is the sheer duration of the slashing effects. The damage might be small, but it lasts for so long that it really adds up.

We think this domain is absolutely perfect for PvE. No matter what boss you're facing, when you activate this domain, the boss will just eat passive damage over time. Since bosses don’t block in this game, they can't defend against the slashes, and that makes this domain incredibly effective for PvE content.

If you want to grind bosses efficiently or handle any major PvE encounters, using this domain will give you a massive advantage. In fact, we would rate this domain as number one for PvE, followed closely by Joo’s domain.

It’s just a go-to option for anyone who wants to breeze through PvE content and get things done efficiently. If you’re looking to do yourself a huge favor in PvE, get this domain expansion. It’s a game-changer.

Demon Vessel Domain Expansion

Now, when it comes to PvP, this domain is also pretty solid. Some people might argue that there are better options for PvP, but for me, we’d place it at number one in our PvP tier list. The reason I rate it so highly is because of the immense pressure it puts on your opponent.

While you can block the slashes in the domain, blocking doesn’t mean you’re safe. The person who’s using the domain won’t just sit there while you defend—they’ll be putting even more pressure on you, making it an intense 50/50 scenario.

Do you continue taking the slashes and keep fighting, hoping you can outlast your opponent? Or do you block, hoping to survive long enough to escape the damage? Either way, it creates an incredibly stressful situation for the person on the receiving end.

As someone who’s been hit by this domain, we can tell you that if you try to just block the slashes, you’re likely to get sniped with a cleave, get your guard broken, and then eat even more slashes. The domain doesn’t give you much room to breathe, and if you try to play too defensively, you’re going to pay for it.

That’s what makes this domain so dangerous. It works beautifully for both aggressive and passive playstyles. You can play it like a Sakuna player, just sitting back and healing, or you can go full offense, rushing at your opponent the moment you activate the domain to make sure they don’t survive.

All in all, this domain expansion is incredibly versatile, and I would highly recommend it for both PvP and PvE. It’s a domain that works in all situations and gives you multiple ways to approach a fight.

S-Tier

Soul Manipulation Domain Expansion

Soul Manipulation, with its domain expansion known as "Self Embodiment of Perfection," is a unique one. When you activate this domain, anyone you attack will accumulate these little transfigured orbs.

These orbs are stacked on the opponent whenever they’re hit by any auto Transfiguration skills. The main characteristic of this domain is that it’s somewhat similar to Hydrokinesis in that you only have one key skill to dish out a significant amount of damage: Soul Touch.

Now, Soul Touch is an interesting ability. If you use it raw within the domain—without any orb stacks—it does decent damage, around 500 to 800 damage. It's not mind-blowing, but it’s reasonable.

However, if you manage to build up a good combo and stack those Transfiguration orbs on your target, you can deal some seriously high damage. In PvP and PvE, you can potentially hit for 3,000 to 4,000 damage with just one Soul Touch, making it a pretty solid burst skill.

For PvE, we would rate this domain around a 6.5 to 7 out of 10. It’s not the best choice for PvE, primarily because you have to rely on your M1 attacks to stack the orbs on the target and then unleash Soul Touch.

While this can work, there are other domains that are better suited for dealing consistent damage over time without having to go through the setup. Still, it’s a decent choice if you're looking for something that can burst down enemies once you stack those orbs.

When it comes to PvP, this domain is also fairly solid, though not necessarily top-tier. I’d rate it around a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 for PvP as well. To make the most of it, you need to save up those Transfiguration stacks when you’re not using your domain and then pop it when you’re inside the domain.

The more orbs you have, the more damage you can dish out with Soul Touch. However, if you’re up against someone who’s particularly skilled, you might find it harder to set up and get those orbs stacked, and that can make the domain less reliable in faster-paced fights.

All in all, Soul Manipulation is a good domain expansion, but it’s not as powerful as some of the top-tier domains. It’s great for setting up big bursts of damage, but its reliance on stacking orbs means it can feel slow or situational at times.

Still, it’s a solid choice for both PvP and PvE if you enjoy building up to those big hits.

Infinite Void Domain Expansion

Now, let’s talk about the infamous Infinite Void. Most people probably already know what this domain does, but for those who don’t, here’s the rundown.

Essentially, when you activate this domain and land it on your opponent, it stuns them completely, rendering them immobilized for a set duration. In the older version of Infinite Void, players were stunned for around 30 seconds, but now it’s been nerfed.

In the current version, you’ll stun your opponent for somewhere between 10 to 15 seconds, which is still quite effective but not as dominant as it once was.

Before the nerf, getting caught in this domain essentially meant you lost the fight, but now it’s not quite as game-changing. That said, there are still ways to make this domain incredibly powerful.

The best strategy is to use Infinite Void in combination with a high-damage skill, like Hollow Purple, World Cleave, or even Jacob’s Slider. This combination allows you to take full advantage of the stun and dish out massive damage while your opponent is stuck in place.

For PvE, Infinite Void is alright. When you use it on bosses, they’ll be stunned for 10 to 15 seconds, which gives you some time to land big hits. It’s decent for keeping mobs in place and handling bosses that might otherwise be too difficult to manage.

We’d rate this domain around a 4 to 5 out of 10 for PvE. It’s not the best for PvE since you’re essentially just immobilizing enemies rather than dealing direct damage, but it still has its uses.

For PvP, however, Infinite Void is one of the best domains available. If you can land this domain on your opponent and follow up with a high-damage skill, it’s nearly a guaranteed win. Stunning your opponent for 10 to 15 seconds gives you plenty of time to hit them with all kinds of attacks, and they’ll be helpless to defend themselves.

We’d rate this domain a solid 10 out of 10 for PvP. The stun effect combined with high-damage skills is just too powerful to ignore. It’s a top-tier choice for PvP and can be a game-changer in the right hands.

So, while Infinite Void isn’t as powerful as it used to be, it’s still an incredibly strong domain in PvP, and it’s definitely worth using if you’re looking to control the pace of a fight. For PvE, it’s more situational but still useful in certain scenarios.
