Adopt Me Pets is chockfull of amazing events year-round. One of the favorites among all of them are the Lunar New Year events.

Well, it's that time of the year again and players can expect the new event to run pretty soon. When it arrives, it's going to be time for new ways to play, new cosmetics, pets, and so much more. The Lunar New Year always brings new and exciting things to the game and nows the time to enjoy it.

As usual, the event will run for 2 weeks and a few days. That means you'll have a limited time to get the rewards in it. However, if you work hard enough, you can get all of the free rewards, simply by playing. There are a lot of rewards in store for this event so you better read this guide and prepare.

How the Lunar New Year Event Works in Adopt Me

In Adopt Me, the Lunar New Year event works just like any other holiday event in the game. Once it arrives, the entire game will feature a selection of Lunar New Year-themed aesthetics. Along with that are new minigames for you to complete, which after doing will reward you with a special new currency.

In the past, currencies were lanterns, yakgwas, and shooting stars. We don't know what the currency will be for this year. The currency itself will be used to by some but definitely not all of the new rewards in the game. The other exclusive items will be bought via Robux or bucks.

You can get the new currency for doing the games that are available during the event. Additionally, there are small tasks and daily log in rewards that will help you get more of the currencies too. It's best to play as much as you can when the event arrives to maximize the rewards.

When Is The Adopt Me Lunar New Year 2026 Going To Happen?

We don't have an official release date for the upcoming event yet. Going by past iterations of it however, we can safely assume that the next Lunar New Year event will likely take place in the middle of January up until the middle of February.

Lunar New Year Pets and Rewards Overview

For now, we don't know what the rewards will be. Going by the past iterations of the event however, we sort of have an idea of what we can get.

In the past Lunar New Years, the rewards are based on the animal of the year. For instance, in 2020 it was the year of the rat. Some of the pets included a Rat and a Golden Rat. As this is the Year of the Horse, we can expect horse-themed rewards for the new year. Particularly, a horse-themed selection of pets.

Other than the pets, the event will also give rewards such as toys, furniture, and others for you to collect. Of course, the best rewards to earn are the pets since these are the most valuable and these are the most that can give you a lot of profit later on.

Keep in mind, in Adopt Me, event-exclusive pets don't come back after the event ends. Even in the next iteration of the event, so for the Lunar New Year event in 2027, you won't see the same rewards again. This makes the pets rare and prices will start to increase massively as well.

Best Farming Strategies for the Lunar Event

While you can certainly buy from of the items in the event with Robux of bucks, you're still going to want to get the most out of the new currency that's going to be added with the update. Here's a quick guide on how you can maximize the event. 

1. Play Regularly

   

You don't need to play well to get the most out of the rewards in the game. You just need to play as regularly as possible. If you constantly grind the new minigame that's being added to the game, you can easily get all of the rewards from the event shop that can be purchased with the currency.

In past iterations of the event, there's no earning cap on the minigames during the event. You're free to farm as many as you want to, as long as you grind. This means that if you play constantly, you can certainly earn as much of the currencies as you want throughout the event.

1. Don't Skip Login Rewards

There's a good chance that the developer of Adopt Me will also introduce some form of login rewards. In some events, you can earn a small portion of the exclusive currency, simply by hopping into the game. In some cases, there's even an extra item for being able to login after a set amount of days.

There's also going to be daily tasks that you can do. These tasks are usually simple and will not cause you to play for more than 30 minutes. The loop is to play regularly, do the daily tasks, then log out. If you have extra time, grind the minigames as well so that you get even more.

1. Play With Friends

Let's face it, playing with friends will always be fun. The thing about Adopt Me events is that you're going to be doing the same thing again and again for a few days. If you have friends with you, the process will be less tedious and you'll be able to enjoy yourself more as well.

In some cases, the minigames at the event will require either cooperation or competitiveness. Either way, you can talk with your friends and set it up so that you all get the rewards in the minigames. You'll have one less thing to worry about if you have friends tag along for the ride.

1. Hold Off On Buying Until The Last Day

Don't rush in buying the items on the event shop. Remember, the items you see today will be there until the end of the event. It's pointless spending the currency you earn the moment you get it. There's a very good reason why holding off until the last day is a very safe and decent strategy.

Remember, there's a chance that you won't be able to play regularly. This means that the amount of currency that you earn will be fairly limited as well. By holding off until the last day, you'll be able to secure the most valuable stuff in the event shop.

Now think about it, you farm for the first three days of the event, then eventually for some reason, you aren't able to play for the rest of the event. The last day of the event comes and you don't have any currency to buy those exclusive Adopt Me pets anymore. It's completely avoidable if you spend your currency correctly.

1. Enjoy The Game

This might seem cliche but please, enjoy the game. The event is made to be fun, not stressful. If you aren't able to secure yourself some of the exclusive pets in the game, then don't worry about it. You can buy it from RPG Stash at a fair price. These events in the game are very fun!
