If you are new to Diablo II: Resurrected, you might be thinking what a set item is. Well, this is a category of items that already work well on their own, but their true power is unlocked when you wear at least two pieces from the entire set.

The Immortal King's set, for example, grants you a 50-point increase in attack rating when you equip two items from the set. However, you gain even more bonuses whenever you wear the entire five-piece collection, including +3 to skills, +450 to attack rating, and +50 to all resistances, among others.

You can easily spot if an item is part of a set or not simply by looking at the color of the text. If it has a green name, then that is surely a set item!

Most of the set items in Diablo II: Resurrected can be obtained as a rare drop from defeating monsters. However, there are items that can only drop when you eliminate certain monsters at specific difficulty levels.

D2R Best Set Items

While you can get more bonuses by equipping at least two pieces from the complete set, there are some set items that are just a cut above the rest. In other words, you can go away with just equipping one, especially if you already have some other items you wish to use later down the line.

Naj's Ancient Vestige is composed of three items. Even though only two of those are mentioned in this article of the best D2R set items, wearing the full set is actually pretty awesome, especially when you look at the bonuses it provides.

Almost all builds in Diablo II: Resurrected can benefit from Naj's Ancient Vestige, though it certainly works much better for those who focus on fire skills.

The 50-point boost to all resistances is great for survivability. So, if you play in Nightmare or Hell, you can wear the full set, at least, until you get your hands on some powerful rune combinations.

Iratha's Finery

Having said that, equipping just the three mentioned above grants you a significant increase in MF, making them a prime choice for endgame farming. If you can stretch that to four pieces, then you also gain 25% FHR, which helps you get out of the stun lock animation quicker than not having the said stat.

Even though Tal Rasha's Wrappings is specifically made for endgame Sorceress builds, any build in D2R can greatly benefit from the set. Because of the set's powerful bonuses, expect to spend more high runes to obtain all of the pieces.

And oh, it also gives you +3 to Amazon Skill levels, which is always nice to have.

Even though it is outclassed by runewords and unique items later down the line, M'avina's Battle Hymn is something worth considering, particularly because the entire set is an affordable way of boosting your damage and survivability at the higher difficulties.
