Diablo II: Resurrected—Reign of the Warlock is a massive content patch that was released over a month ago. It brought not only the titular Warlock Class into this 25-year-old game, but the said DLC also added a bunch of new unique items that we are going to discuss in this article.

Some of these new unique items are build-enabling and highly sought after, so you could be spending those high runes to get them. Besides that, getting these D2R items requires hours of farming, particularly in the Terror Zones with a Herald of Terror hunting you down.

Anyway, let's get started with the new unique items introduced in Diablo II: Resurrected—Reign of the Warlock DLC, shall we?

Overview of New Unique Items in Reign of the Warlock DLC

Blizzard has added 13 new unique items in D2R Reign of the Warlock DLC. Some of these unique items are jewels that you can only obtain by defeating the new Colossal Ancients.

For the rest of the new uniques, some of them provide additional bonuses specifically to the Warlock. These bonuses range from additional skills to Faster Cast Rate (FCR), which is something that's very desirable when playing the new Warlock Class in RoTW.

Additionally, certain unique items provide magic skill damage. This is interesting because prior to the release of the Reign of the Warlock DLC, only a handful of items granted this specific stat. Builds such as the Hammerdin and Bone Necromancer can definitely take great advantage of them.

Full List of New Unique Items in D2R RoTW

In this section, I will go over each unique item and give you the reasons why you should consider equipping them in your next D2R build. I am going to start with what I think are the best of the bunch, followed by the other uniques.

Gheed's Wager

Gheed’s Wager

For a long time, people used the Arachnid Mesh to reach the higher FCR breakpoints of their respective builds. This is because the said belt provided 20% FCR, which is a respectable amount, given that it is only from one item. Well, Blizzard has shaken things up by adding a much better belt, and this is in the form of Gheed's Wager.

Gheed's Wager is a unique Troll Belt that has some pretty good stats, including Faster Hit Recovery (FHR), Faster Run/Walk Speeds (FRW), and Faster Cast Rate (FCR). A well-rolled Gheed's Wager can provide you with a 20% increase on these bonuses each!

On top of that, this unique belt has one of the rarest effects in the game, where it could reduce the enemy's resistance to magic damage by up to 7%! So, if you are playing the Hammerdin, for example, you should definitely consider using Gheed's Wager in D2R Ladder Season 13!

Hellwarden's Will

Hellwarden’s Will

If you need more items that give bonus FCR, this next one should be considered. Hellwarden's Will is a unique helmet that not only grants 20% FCR, but is also able to reduce the enemy's fire and magic resistance by up to 8%!

In addition, Hellwarden's Will is notable because it is one of the only items in the game that combines increased FCR and increased attack speed in one. The two stats just mentioned are incredibly useful to the Fist of the Heavens/Zealot Paladin hybrid build, so if ever you're going to play it soon, the Hellwarden's Will is an insta-lock, for sure!

Wraithstep

Wraithstep

The Echoing Strike Warlock is one of the best builds in D2R RoTW right now. This build utilises an Eldritch Skill that deals tremendous damage, especially at higher skill levels. Therefore, increasing Eldritch Skills is something that you should do in this regard.

That is where the Wraithstep comes in. These boots can roll +1 on a random Warlock Skill Tree. If you're playing the Echoing Strike Warlock, get the version that has "+1 to Eldritch Skills."

Furthermore, the Wraithstep grants other bonuses that are great on the boots slot, including 30% FRW, 20% FHR, and up to 15 Energy.

Opalvein

Opalvein

This next unique item is a decent alternative to the ever-popular Stone of Jordan. The Opalvein has a chance to roll an increase in one of the damage types in the game, such as fire, cold lightning, poison, and magic damage. Hence, acquire one that suits the damage type of your build.

Some of the noteworthy stats that the Opalvein gives you are 10% FCR, +8 all-resists, and life/mana leech, among others.

Sling

Sling

If you have been watching the most recent Doctor Strange movie, you've probably heard of the "Sling Ring," which the sorcerer uses to teleport to any destination on a whim. This next D2R unique item is most probably a reference to that.

Sling is another unique ring in Diablo II: Resurrected that grants 10% FCR. However, it provides up to 20% Magic Find, 15 Energy, and a 5% reduction to enemy magic resistance as well.

Its standout feature, to me, is that "+1 to Town Portal." Any build that deals magic damage, such as the Miasma Warlock, FOHdin, and Bone Necromancer, no longer needs to have a Tome of Town Portal in their inventories, since Sling can teleport them to safety for free!

Bloodpact Shard

Bloodpact Shard

The Bloodpact Shard is tailor-made for Warlocks who specialize in the Demon Skill Tree. This is because this unique item grants up to a +3 increase in Blood Oath, Blood Boil, and Bind Demon. This thing also provides +1 to all skills and 30% FCR for good measure.

Now, there's a speculation that Blizzard may take away the Warlock's ability to wield two-handed weapons with a Grimoire in the off-hand sometime in the future. When that time comes, the Bloodpact Shard will become a best-in-slot for many D2R Warlock builds without a doubt.

Entropy Locket

Entropy Locket

Are you playing the Abyss Warlock by any chance in D2R Ladder Season 13? If you cannot find a suitable amulet for your build, then perhaps the Entropy Locket would have a word with you.

The Entropy Locket has well-balanced stats and is able to provide you with what you need for a Warlock that is about to get into the endgame, including 10% FCR, 15% to Maximum Mana, and 10% magic skill damage.

It is also worth noting that the chance to cast a level 19 Miasma Chain on striking is an oSkill, which means that it can activate even if you are using other classes in Diablo II: Resurrected—Reign of the Warlock DLC.

Defender's Bile

Defender's Bile

The remaining D2R unique items that still need to be discussed are jewels that can only be acquired randomly by defeating the Colossal Ancients. This is the newest Uber Encounter in the game, so you have to make sure that you are prepared before heading into battle.

Anyway, Defender's Bile is a unique jewel that was probably made with the Poison Necromancer in mind. This is because of the additional poison skill damage, as well as the jewel's ability to reduce the enemy's poison resistance by up to 10%.

This unique jewel really takes the "Defender" on its moniker very seriously, as it has a chance of casting a level 25 Bone Armor when you are hit by the enemy. A level 25 Bone Armor can absorb 380 damage before it's removed, so that should help you survive in Hell Difficulty.

Keep in mind that you can only equip one of these unique jewels at a time. So, if you're trying to one-up the system by trying to wear two items that are socketed with these jewels, then you are out of luck.

Defender's Fire

Defender's Fire

If you are playing the Fire Warlock or Meteor Sorceress, then you should reserve a jewel socket for Defender's Fire.

Defender's Fire reduces the enemy's resistance to fire damage by up to 10%, while also giving your fire skills more oomph at a commensurate rate. The Enchant Sorceress will find great value in the jewel's added fire damage as well.

Guardian's Light

Guardian's Light

Blizzard really wants you to try out D2R builds that use skills that deal magic damage, because this next unique jewel provides additional magic damage and more!

Guardian's Light adds magic skill damage and reduces the magic resistance of enemies by up to 10%. That and the extra 35% Magic Find will make this unique jewel a great addition to any magic damage build that aims to farm Hell Difficulty in the late-game.

Guardian's Thunder

Guardian's Thunder

In the hands of the Lightning Fury Javazon or the Lightning Sentry Assassin, the Guardian's Thunder will improve these builds in more ways than one. Not only does it provide a lightning damage boost, but it also reduces enemy lightning resistance by up to 10%.

More importantly, having this jewel in your gear will protect you from harm thanks to that level 25 Cyclone Armor, which absorbs 328 damage before it dissipates. I've heard that the Nova Sorc is also popular in D2R Ladder Season 13, so if you're playing this build already, then just plug the Guardian's Thunder in and kill the forces of evil with thunderous fury!

Protector's Frost

Protector's Frost

There is one new unique jewel that enhances every damage type in Diablo II: Resurrected. As you can tell, this next unique item increases cold damage, and then some!

Protector's Frost is pretty much the same as the other unique jewels that I've already covered, except that it boosts cold skill damage and can cast a level 25 Frozen Armor, which provides you with a 150% increase in defense when active.

Protector's Stone

Protector's Stone

Are you playing any physical damage builds in Diablo II: Resurrected Season 13? Then don't delay! Use the Protector's Stone jewel today!

Protector's Stone is great for Smite Paladins, Zealer Paladins, and Frenzy Barbarians because of the Enhanced Damage that this unique jewel provides. When combined with the Grief Runeword, you can unleash incredible amounts of pain on your foes, which will force them to cower in fear at the mere sight of you!
