The developers of Grow a Garden are pretty busy when it comes to updates and events for the game. If you've been playing recently, you must've seen the new update adding prehistoric creatures to the game.

The Grow a Garden Prehistoric update is now up and running if you haven't noticed yet. The new update brings in new seeds, pets, and more to the game. As always, it's easy to get overwhelmed with all of what's added, but as always, we're here to help you out.
In this guide, we'll show you everything that you need to know about the Prehistoric event in the game right now. If you want a little boost in the form of Grow a Garden pets, seed packs, or money, we've got that as well. First, let's talk about the basics of the event and why you should pay attention to it.
What is the Prehistoric Event in Grow a Garden?
This is a new dinosaur-themed event in Grow a Garden. It will run from July 5 to July 12. Since this is only a small event, there are only a few rewards to get but keep in mind that you still have limited time to get them. There are still a few days before it ends so make sure that you do your best to get every item ASAP.
Once you log into the game, make sure to head to the center of the map and look for an NPC named Blair. She is a researcher looking for help. You can be that helping hand by doing daily quests, which in the game are called Dino Quests. These function like regular daily quests in Grow a Garden in a sense that you'll need to do three a day.
You'll need to complete three of these quests per day. This changes player to player on a daily basis. Once done, you'll be rewarded with the following:
- 1 Dino Egg
- 1 Dino Crate
- 1 Ancient Seed Pack
To start the quests, talk to Blaire and select “Show me the quests” option. You'll immediately see a few that are assigned to you. You can do a total of six quests per day since they reset once every 12 hours. If you have the Robux for it, you can skip it the quests by paying 89 Robux to get the rewards.

The Dino Quests are similar to the Daily Quests but these will have you planting specific seeds, harvesting crops, crafting gear, etc., that are related to the event. Here are the possible quests you can get.
Quests | Quests Type |
Harvest 50 Strawberries | Harvest Quest |
Harvest 150 Blueberries | Harvest Quest |
Harvest 25 Apples | Harvest Quest |
Harvest 10 Coconuts | Harvest Quest |
Harvest 5 Dragon Fruits | Harvest Quest |
Plant 10 Watermelons | Planting Quest |
Plant 100 Carrots | Planting Quest |
Plant 5 Pumpkins | Planting Quest |
Plant 25 Bamboo | Planting Quest |
Plant 1 Mango | Planting Quest |
Grow a Bunny to Age 10 | Pet Quest |
Grow a Dog to Age 10 | Pet Quest |
Grow a Golden Lab to Age 10 | Pet Quest |
Craft 1 Lightning Rod | Crafting Quest |
Craft 2 Mutation Spray Amber | Crafting Quest |
While doing the event, make sure to buy seeds regularly and get eggs as much as often so that you'll have a chance at doing the Dino Quests as much as possible.
How to Get Prehistoric Event Dino Quests Rewards
As you go through the rewards each day, you'll fill up a bar that nets you a big reward at the end of the week. In total, you'll need to do 21 Dino Quests to fill up the bar. The goal is to earn the Bone Blossom which is apparently better than the Candy Blossom right now.
Before that though, you'll get other rewards as you progress through the weekly meter. Those are:

- 1x Volcano
- 2x Cosmetics
- 19x Ancient Seed Pack
- 3x Amber Mutation Spray
All New Items in Grow a Garden Prehistoric Update
Of course, we know that you're very excited for all of the new items and things that are included in the prehistoric update for Grow a Garden. Here's all of them in one place.

Ideally, you're going to want to stock up on the seed pack as it contains some great new crops for your garden. Here's what you can get out of them:

Stonebite | 40% | Uncommon | 35,000 Sheckles | One-Time | 1 |
Paradise Petal | 25% | Rare | 25,000 Sheckles | Multi-Harvest | 4 |
Horned Dinoshroom | 20% | Legendary | 69,000 Sheckles | Multi-Harvest | 1 |

These are good and all but what you should be going after are the Burning Bud and the Bone Blossom. Both seeds are extremely rare and valuable. In fact, the Bone Blossom can give you a whopping 875,000 Sheckles in a single harvest. This is more than the Candy Blossom, making it the most profitable crop in the game.
New Crops | Rarity | Base Selling Value | Type | Avg Fruit Count | How to Get Them |
Burning Bud | Prismatic | 70,000 Sheckles | Multi-Harvest | 2 | Purchase from Sam's Seed Shop or Seed Pets |
Bone Blossom | Transcendent | 175,000 Sheckles | Multi-Harvest | 5 to 6 | Complete all Weekly Dino Quests |
You're going to need to get very lucky for the Bone Blossom to be able to get it as a reward from the Weekly Quest. After the Prehistoric event is done, you can't get the Bone Blossom by any regular means other than buying it from others. They're sure to mark up the price by then.
Dinosaur Egg
Once you've had your fill of seeds in the Ancient Seed Pack, the next thing to do is to start hoarding those Dinosaur Eggs. Like the crops, these are going to be very valuable but they won't be gone after the event. Still, it's worth getting these pets now.
Dinosaurs | Drop Chance | Rarity | What They Do |
Raptor | 35% | Legendary | Provides an Amber Mutation (10× multiplier) to fruits and boosts your movement speed. |
Triceratops | 32.5% | Legendary | Speeds up plant growth so you can harvest fruits faster. |

Brontosaurus | 1% | Mythical | Causes eggs to hatch into larger, heavier pets. |
T-Rex | 0.5% | Divine | Consumes a fruit variant and replicates it across three other fruits. |
