Stuck with low-yield fruits and a small plot of land in Roblox Grow a Garden? If you are, then you're likely missing a few pieces of the puzzle that we can help bring out.
Grow a Garden is as simple as it gets at a glance, but the truth is that it's a fairly complicated game. There are many hidden mechanics and even more things to worry about than meets the eye. With our Roblox Grow a Garden guide, you'll be able to get the most out of your time in the game.

We've got a ton of stuff at our store that will help you get ahead of the game as well. Come visit RPG Stash for great deals on Grow a Garden crops, money, pets, and more. Now, here's our beginner's guide for the game.
Getting Started in Roblox Grow a Garden
There's no sugarcoating it, you have very limited choices when it comes to starting out in the game. You have only 20 Scheckles (the game's currency), so when it comes to buying your first crop, you have nothing left to choose other than the humble carrot. A single carrot seed costs 10 Sheckles.
Since this is a single crop, this can only be harvested once. To start your journey, spend all of your money on carrot seeds and plant them in your garden. It won't take long before you can start harvesting them, so just sit there for a few seconds and wait for it to grow.
Once the carrots are ready, pick them up and head to Steven at the Sell Stuff stand. He'll evaluate your carrots. There's no other way around this other than to sell what you have to Steve at the moment. You'll get more seeds, follow the same loop, until you get rich.
Now, this is very unlikely, but if you're lucky, you can get mutated carrots early on. Mutated carrots are more expensive depending on what type of mutations you get. For most, the first carrot they plant ends up at around 0.34kg, which is just 30 Sheckles.
Do this for a few rounds until you get a lot of money. Ideally, you'd want to save at least 1,000 or more Sheckles. This is definitely achievable within your first hour in the game.
Once you've got the money, it's time to move on to multi-harvest crops. These are crops that you can harvest more than once. At this point, the best crop to get with your hard-earned money is the Strawberry Seed. This costs 50 Sheckles. If you have a budget for it, you can also get the blueberry seed at 400 Sheckles, but you can earn more money fast with strawberries.
Strawberries take longer to grow, but not by much. Carrots grow after a few seconds, but strawberries need a minute or so. Take the fruit, keep the bush so that it bears more fruit. Sell the fruits to Steve, rinse and repeat. For your first hours in the game, focus on these cheap fruits first. This should pretty much cover your early game.
Carrot | 10 Sheckles | Single |
Strawberry | 50 Sheckles | Multiple |
Blueberry | 400 Sheckles | Multiple |
Orange Tulip (No longer available) | 600 Sheckles | Single |

Your first couple of hours in the game are going to be monotonous, and it's going to take a few hours before things start picking up. Here are a few do's and don'ts to keep in mind during your early hours:
- Do organize your plants so that it's easy to plant and harvest in a few movements. Scattering them around your garden isn't just a sight for sore eyes; it's also impractical.
- Don't buy single-harvest fruits other than the carrot. At the early game, this should be pumpkins and melons. You only really need to buy carrots at the start to build your capital.
- Do buy mushrooms and bamboo once you have the chance. These are one of the best early game crops because of their buy and selling price. A good trick would be to place all of the bamboo in a single area and then put a sprinkler on it so that it grows fast. The same goes for mushrooms.
- Don't keep trees if they're too big for your garden. Chances are, these are going to make it harder for you to harvest your crops. Unless they're really rare, make sure to chop them down.
- Do focus on making money at the start. Not at making your garden look good and especially not at getting as many unique plants as possible. Just keep your garden focused on making money.
- Don't attempt to buy very expensive crops if you don't have the money for it. They're going to come by the shop again. It's best to invest your hard earned money in cheaper crops that grow easily.
- Do invest in things like pets and Gears. These are going to make your garden better in the long-run. Even at an early point in the game, having these is a good idea,
- Don't ever let your bank run dry. You should always have a few thousand (or a even a million Sheckles) in your bank. Whenever those rare plants pop up at the shop, buy them immediately.
Beginner Tips For Roblox Grow a Garden
Now, there are a lot of other things that you should know when it comes to Grow a Garden. To make things a lot easier for you, here are some important beginner tips to keep in mind.
Start Visiting The Shop Daily
Throughout most of the game, you'll be visiting the Seed Stall to buy and sell crops and seeds. However, what you should constantly be visiting is the in-game shop; you don't have to buy stuff. What we want you to do is to simply scroll to the Forever Pack tab and get the free item each day. This can vary from money to Seed Packs.
These are free items we're talking about! This changes on a regular basis, so make sure to drop by if you're playing the game each day. These free items are going to be especially helpful at the start of your journey.

Do Daily Quests
Another part of your daily routine should be to do daily quests. These are very simple tasks that reward you with normal seed packs. For now, there are 8 possible quests that you can do:
- Earn 25,000 Sheckles
- Plant 100 Carrot Seeds
- Harvest 50 Strawberries
- Harvest 100 Blueberries
- Plant 5 Watermelon Seeds
- Plant 5 Pumpkin Seeds
- Harvest 25 Apples
- Harvest 3 Dragon Fruits
You need to complete 3 tasks each day, and these are all fairly manageable, even at the early game. The seed packs you're rewarded with can give you some valuable crops that are exclusive to packs. The pineapple, for instance, can only be acquired via seed packs.
Buy Springklers ASAP (Invest In Other Gears Too)
Gears are very important items in the game. You can buy them with Sheckles or Robux from the Gear Shop. They can do all sorts of things but if you're just starting out, you should focus on getting the Basic Sprinkler first.
The lowest price you'll pay for this is 25,000 Sheckles. Why is it worth getting? Sprinklers can increase the growth speed and the fruit size of your crops. What's great about these is that sprinklers can affect an entire area and not just a single plant. As costly as it can be, focus on getting this as soon as you can. Here are other Gears in the game:
