Royal Titans are one of the latest mid-game bosses that have been released in Old School Runescape. They are a introductory boss to the mid-game, with rewards that will help the player on their journey to the late game. In this guide, we will dissect this boss and explain how to farm it effectively in both duo and solo settings.
Gear is super important for any OSRS encounter and can cost quite a lot. If you are struggling to get the gear you desire, you can check out our OSRS Gold Store for fast and secure gold deliveries.

Gear & Stat Recommendation
Being mid-tier bosses, the recommended stats to effectively farm these titans are fairly low. Obviously, having high stats or 99’s will increase your kill times, but to start farming the titans, you will need the following at the very least:
- Level 70 Attack
- Level 70 Strength
- Level 70 Defence
- Level 75 Magic
- Level 43 Prayer
Royal Titans require all 3 styles of combat to effectively kill. You can effectively farm the Royal Titans with the following mid-game gear:
Melee
| Head Slot | Slayer helmet if on task / Blood moon helm |
| Neck Slot | Amulet of Fury |
| Cape Slot | Fire/Infernal cape |
| Chest Slot | Blood moon chestplate |
| Leg Slot | Blood moon tassets |
| Weapon Slot | Dual macuahuitl |
| Hand Slot | Barrows Gloves |
| Boot Slot | Dragon boots |
| Ring Slot | Berserker Ring (i) |
Ranged
| Head Slot | Slayer helmet if on task / Eclipse moon helm |
| Cape Slot | Ava’s Assembler |
| Chest Slot | Eclipse moon chestplate |
| Leg Slot | Eclipse moon tassets |
| Weapon Slot | Eclipse atlatl |
| Ammo | Atlatl dart |
Magic
| Chest Slot | Blue moon chestplate |
| Leg Slot | Blue moon tassets |
| Weapon Slot | Twinflame staff |
If you are a maxed-level account with end-game gear, you can switch the gear to full torva, masori, and ancestral instead. Crush bonus is the most important thing, so using a scythe on crush is the best thing you can use.
If you are not that good at switches, you can bring full void to minimise the amount of it.
Inventory
Aside from the gear switches listed above, here is what you should have in your inventory:
- Divine super combat potion
- Divine ranging potion
- 4 - 5 Prayer potions
- Rune pouch with runes to cast fire and water waves (if you are using a twinflame staff, it provides infinite water and fire runes)
- A special attack weapon, like burning or dragon claws
- A teleport out like house teleport tablets
- A giantsoul amulet if you have it, or a Dramen staff to use fairy rings if you don’t
- 8-9 high healing food like sharks.
If you are missing any of the stats or untradeable items, such as the Infernal cape, you can use our OSRS Services to have our specialists help you get them on your behalf.
Location
The Royal Titans can be located inside the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon. If you have the giantsoul amulet, you can directly teleport in front of the boss cave; if not, you can use the fairy ring code a.i.q to teleport near the dungeon and enter it. If you are taking the fairy ring route, you can use a shortcut if you have level 60 Agility.
Mechanics
Stomp

This attack is only used while giants are in melee distance. They will stomp the ground and send a shockwave that affects the three rows in front of them. To avoid this attack, simply use protect from melee prayer.
Fire/Ice Walls

A row of fire/ice will form in the arena, blocking the said row after 4 ticks of time. If the player is standing on one of those tiles, they will take 12 damage, but the blockage on that tile will not form. Once the row is formed, it will prevent the player from moving in that direction. To deal with this, you can simply equip your staff and cast a fire spell on the ice walls and a water spell on the fire walls. The magic spell should be a blast spell or higher. These attacks are instant and will not trigger any attack delays.
Fıre/Ice Elementals

The giants will summon three fire/ice elementals that attack with melee. If they are not killed quickly, they will self-detonate and deal 8-10 damage in a 3 by 3 area around them. To deal with this, you must kill the fire elementals with water spells and ice elementals with fire spells. Your spell attacks will deal AOE damage to these creatures, allowing you to kill all three in a single attack.
- To kill all three elementals in a single attack, you must have a magic attack bonus of 70 or higher. If you are using full void, you need to have 39.
- For each elemental killed, you will receive a 1-tick reduction to your attack delay, allowing you to attack almost instantly afterwards.
Elemental Blast

A tile will light up on the ground, and after a short delay, the giants will start stomping the entire area 3 times, dealing up to 30 damage to the player per stomp. To avoid this attack, simply stand on the highlighted tile for the duration of the attack.
Full Kill

Below is a full breakdown of the fight and what to do in each phase. The mechanics are identical whether you’re fighting solo or as a duo, but the encounter is significantly easier with two players. In a duo, each player should focus on one boss and handle that boss’s elementals and walls, which makes the run faster, smoother, and far more manageable.
Phase 1
- Upon entering the area, both titans will be in melee distance at the center. You will have enough time to strike one of them with your melee weapon. Hitting Eldric is significantly easier than hitting Branda, and doing so will boost your ranged accuracy by 6x until the titans move back to melee distance. After this, turn on your protect from melee prayer and get ready to fight.
- Once the titans move back, switch to your ranged gear and start hitting one of the titans; it doesn’t matter which one you target.
- If you are soloing the boss, you should always try to have one titan in melee distance since they are extremely weak against crush attacks. To do this, you must stay as far away as possible from a titan so that they walk a longer distance to get to you when they are going for a melee hit. This delays their transitions and will allow you to almost always have a titan in melee distance.
- While they are out of melee range, they will summon ice and fire walls and elementals. Get rid of the elementals as quickly as possible and destroy the walls as you see fit.
- Every 20 seconds or so, they will enter melee distance and perform their stomp attacks. If you are using the method mentioned in the 3rd row, you will have greatly increased DPS.
- When the titans drop below 210 health, the second phase will begin.
Note: If you remain in the instance after defeating the titans, you can use a four-tick weapon to attack each of the titans a single time before they get to walk away at the start of the fight. You can also use a four-tick weapon into a halberd to hit two times on a single titan.
Phase 2
- Both of the titans will move onto the opposite sides of the arena. They will have separate health bars in this phase, and the player should try to kill them around the same time since one titan becomes much stronger if the other is dead. Most notably, the remaining titan’s attacks will start to hit through prayer.
- After a short time, they will start doing their elemental blast attack, and during this attack, the player will receive a 6x multiplier to their ranged accuracy. Standing on the highlighted tile and ranging is the best option.
- During this phase, the titans will continue to summon elementals, do stomp attacks, and use elemental blast. They will generally sync their attacks, but that will stop being the case once they hit below 100 health.
- You can melee a titan and run back to the safe tile during the elemental blast phase if you time it correctly. This only works with regular weapons if the safe tile is two tiles away from a titan, or you can use a halberd to do this, even if the safe spot is four tiles away. If you just want to relax, however, simply switch to ranged and hit them from a distance.
Rewards

After you have dealt with the titans, you can choose which one to loot. Currently, looting Branda the Fire Queen is much more profitable than looting Eldric the Ice King.
