About This PoE 2 Fastest Warrior Leveling Build
This build isn’t fancy and it’s actually as simple as it can get in terms of leveling. The main purpose of our skill selections is that we want you to deal as much damage as possible while making sure that you take less damage because enemies are going to be stunned.
What makes this an effective leveling build is that you can easily clear mobs in any dungeon which is very important for leveling builds. You can steer clear from the skill selections as much as you want to but make sure to stay as close as possible to the core skills that we’ve picked for the active skills.
Active Skills And Support Games
When it comes to picking active skills and support gems for your Warrior, there are a few things that you should specifically pick. Remember, you’re going to want to make sure that you deal as much damage as possible while triggering bonuses and affixes that will help when it comes to increasing your survivability.
| Core Warrior Leveling Skill Build | |
| Skill | Support Gems |
| Mace Strike (Basic Attack) |
|
| Rolling Slam |
|
| Boneshatter |
|
| Perfect Strike |
|
| Armour Breaker |
|
| Leap Slam |
|
| Herald of Ash |
|
At the start, you’re going to want to use Rolling Slam into Boneshatter. This is going to be your main combo when going up against the mobs in the game. The goal is to hit enemies once with Rolling Slam, and then you cancel it into Boneshatter. But you need to make sure that at least one enemy is Primed for Stun before doing this.

When you pull it off successfully, you’re going to immediately stun the target and you can even kill them in one go. All while happening, you’re going to release a shockwave that can damage every other enemy that’s nearby. This is what makes this a good leveling build for Warriors.
If you have Herald of Ash active, you can use this simple two-hit combo to easily kill every enemy on the screen. If all of those enemies are common mobs, then the chances of you clearing them out becomes more likely so it’s well worth the shot to do this every time.
Now, when you’re fighting bosses, you’re going to want to use Perfect Strike to deal as much damage as possible. The goal here is to hold the Perfect Strike’s skill button up until your weapon starts to flash. Once that happens, make sure to release the skill’s button and you’re good to go.
What this does is it guarantees an Ignite proc on all of the enemy hit. You can follow it up with a Leap Slam that will help you build up the stagger bar as much as possible. It’s important to have Armour Breaker as well as this can help greatly reduce the Physical defense of your enemies as well.
Alternate Support Gems
While the Gems above are important, it’s important to note that Path of Exile 2: The Third Edict has added a lot of amazing Support Gems as well. These offer amazing effects for the Warrior Class. That said, here are a few alternate support gems that will make your leveling journey just as good if not better.
- Unabating (T1): Grab bonus armor when you use Supported Skills. Perfect for when you keep dying all the time.
- Unyielding (T1): Take damage while using Supported Skills? Get some of it back as Life! Doesn't work with channeled stuff, but Rolling Slam loves this since it takes forever to cast.
- Life Thief (T2): Your physical damage from Supported Skills steals Life. Works great with any physical skill you're running.
- Heavy Swing (T2): Supported Skills hit 10% slower but deal a chunky 35% more melee physical damage. Super good for Rolling Slam, especially after they buffed its cast time in The Third Edict.
- Syzygy (T3): When your Supported Slam skills hit Ignited and Fully Armour Broken enemies, they count as Crushing Blows. Heavy Stun these poor suckers and they get Intimidated too - they take more damage and dish out less. Double whammy!
Priority Passives
Next up, we want you to take a look at the passives below. These are going to be the core of your Warrior build for leveling. You’re going to want to rotate through these while going through the main campaign so make sure to use these whenever you get the chance.

But keep in mind that even with these selections, you’re going to still take a long time to level up. If you don’t have the time to do so, make sure to drop by our PoE 2 leveling services store to see how we can help you go from 1 to 100.
| Level Range | Suggested Passives |
| Level 1-10 |
|
| Level 11-28 |
|
If you look at the passives and then on the skill selection above, you’ll notice that it’s more focused on increasing damage and then stun build-up. These two are the most important aspects when leveling up this build because they help you deal with mobs more effectively while decreasing the damage you take because enemies are stunned.
You’re also going to want to make sure that you’re getting Mace-specific passives like Increased Damage Against Heavy Stunned Enemies and Chance to Aftershock. Once you get these specific passives, you’re going to want to get Heavy Stun and Armor Break effects as well.
Now, you might have some initial problems when it comes to surviving especially at the start of the game. If so, you’re going to want to delay Skullcrusher first and Split The Earth. In exchange, you’re going to want to get Polished Iron and Made to Last. Made to Last is very important because it helps you get 15% of prevented Physical Damage turned to health.
We’d also like to add that if your Accuracy Rating is very low, then you might want to get Resolute Technique as well. Your attacks are almost always guaranteed to hit with this passive but they will never critically miss as well so it’s good for maxing out your total damage.

Recommended Items
This build is as simple as possible. So, you’re going to want to get the items with these modifiers:
- Increased Physical Damage
- Bonus Strength
- Bonus Armour
- Accuracy Rating/Dexterity
- Maximum Life
- Elemental Resistances
Aside from these modifiers, there are a few Uniques that you might want to set your eyes on whenever you get the chance.
1: Horns of Bynden vs Wings of Caelyn (Rusted Greathelms)
| Feature | Horns of Bynden | Wings of Caelyn |
| Base Type | Rusted Greathelm | Rusted Greathelm |
| Armor | 34 | 34 |
| Rarity Bonus | 15% increased Rarity | 15% increased Rarity |
| Main Stat | +30 Strength | +30 Dexterity |
| Rage Effect | 1 Rage on Melee Hit | 1 Rage on Melee Hit |
| Bonus Per Rage | 1% increased Armor | 1% increased Stun Threshold |
| Best For | More Life (from Strength) | Stun resistance |
Why these are essential: These twin helmets are killer for leveling melee builds in the Rise of the Abyssals League because of the bonuses that they bring to the table. But we’re going to be more objective about it, Bynden probably wins due to its amazing Strength roll giving up to 60 Life. Both helmets hook you up with 1 Rage per Melee Hit, which means free damage, which is important for any leveling builds.
About Rage: Each stack gives you 1% MORE Attack Damage (up to 30 total). Now, keep in mind that this does fade rather quickly but it stays as long as you're attacking or getting hit every 2 seconds. Makes other Rage stuff like Berserk, Rageforged, and Enraged Warcry way stronger too.
2: Frostbreath
This one-handed Mace packs solid Cold and Physical damage at level 10 which is nearly impossible to get. Its most amazing feature however is Culling Strike against frozen enemies and All Damage from Hits with this Weapon Contributes to Freeze Buildup.
Just stack damage on Gloves, Rings and Runes, then enjoy shattering everything—something Warriors don't usually get to do at very low levels. With this Unique and the passives above, you’re getting quite the damage boost to your character in PoE 2 Patch 0.3.0.
3: Hrimnor's Hymn (Oak Greathammer)
This is a level 4 weapon that we love for leveling builds because it has tons of early damage and the super fun effect: all slam skills get Aftershocks. This will help you deal more damage to mobs and eventually help you deal with them more quickly.
Those are extra damage bursts after your initial hit, dealing the same damage in the same area. Only downside is it's outclassed by mid Act 2, but it makes Warrior's rough early game way more bearable. Still, if you’re looking for a powerful Act 1 weapon, there’s no other place to look than this.
4: Treefingers (Riveted Mitts)
These gloves give a nice Physical Damage boost plus the Giant's Blood Keystone. This lets you Dual Wield Two-Handed Maces or use a Shield with one! Shield option is obvious, but Dual Wielding lets you get two weapons' damage and effects in one attack (with a 30% less damage penalty per weapon for skills like Earthquake - still a huge win if both weapons are good).

Watch out though - Giant's Blood triples your weapon attribute requirements. Best paired with uniques like Meginord's Girdle or Greymake to help with those stats.
Tips For Leveling Warriors In PoE 2 [Patch 0.3.0]
There are lots of ways you can go about leveling your Warrior in PoE 2 but even if you do follow the builds above, you’re going to be wasting a lot of your time grinding if you don’t follow some important tips below.
Group Up
This is possibly one of the most important tips we can give you for leveling up your Warrior in PoE 2. While powerful when it comes to brute force alone, the Warrior class lacks a lot in terms of overall versatility which is why grouping up is important, especially if you want to get to level 100 as quickly as possible.
When it comes to grouping up, it doesn’t really matter what the classes are of those who you’re going to play with. What’s going to be more important is the level of the people you’re going to play with. You’re going to want to stick with people who are around 5-10 levels ahead of you.
By doing this, you can join instances or dungeons that are of a higher level than yours. You’ll typically struggle in areas like these because of your low level but when you’re with stronger allies, it’ll be much easier to rise through the levels because you’re getting much more XP.
Now, since you’re considerably weaker than the enemies in the area, we highly suggest sitting on the sidelines instead. Do your best to avoid fighting the enemies head on as you would on a regular dungeon run. What you want is to just stick close enough to get XP while being far enough to avoid getting damaged.
Stay Aggressive
A key gameplay habit you should keep in mind while using the Warrior is to stay as aggressive as possible. Since you’re going to be relying mostly on your passives and bonuses, you’ll need to trigger these as much as possible by putting yourself in the middle of the fight as much as you can.
Whenever you see a mob of enemies, what you can do first is to kite a small group and separate them away from the larger group. By dividing and conquering, you’re able to get a small momentum on your bonuses and passives. Jumping into a huge group immediately can go wrong very fast so avoid this.
If you charge at a group of enemies without at least some of your bonuses triggered, there’s a good chance that you’ll die before even being able to do anything. Make sure to check on your skills and to create a good flow of abilities that will trigger as many of your bonuses as possible.
Build As You Go
This is another important tip. Although you should only focus on building your gear once you’re really in the endgame section of PoE 2 Rise of the Abyssals League, it’s much better to upgrade your gear whenever it’s necessary. This will help you keep up with the enemies as you increase the level of difficulty you’re going up against.
When improving your gear, make sure to stick with our preferred affixes for the Warrior’s leveling build as much as you can. You can be easily overwhelmed by enemies if you keep sticking with the same gear. When changing equipment, it’s important to prioritize the bonuses and affixes over the stats.
Don’t spend too much money or any currency when upgrading your gear because again, your main goal is to level up, not to be the best version of your character yet. Switching gears is going to be very common unless you have some uniques with you already.
Go Through The Main Campaign First
A good way to speed through several levels at the start is by simply going through the main campaign. Depending on whether or not you do the side quests, you’re looking at finishing the campaign at around level 60-70 which is already a huge step up if you’re planning on getting to 100.
Since you’re just breezing through lines of dialogue for the main campaign, it’s going to go by much quicker compared to doing the campaign on a regular run. This is certainly better compared to just going through dungeons to level up in PoE 2 but there’s more to this than meets the eye.

While you’re going through the main campaign, you’re also going to get some pretty decent rewards for your character. These rewards are going to be helpful in helping you build your character, making going through the campaign that much more rewarding for leveling up.
