Diablo 2: Resurrected , Game Guides

Diablo II: Resurrected – Reign of the Warlock DLC is the best thing that has ever happened to the game since the remastered version was released almost five years ago. The addition of the Warlock Class has shaken the meta up. Most people would even say that the Warlock is just too overpowered, especially when outfitted with the Best D2R items.
In this article, I will delve deeper into the best D2R Warlock endgame builds for Season 13. Keep in mind that due to the nature of Warlock Skills, most of the builds that are going to be highlighted here require a higher APM (actions per minute) than your typical build in Diablo II: Resurrected.
Best D2R Warlock Builds in Season 13
The Warlock is best known for his mastery of the forbidden art of demon binding. He is also a master of chaos magic, which means that he's able to deal magic damage and fire damage depending on the situation.
What's more, the Warlock has a unique quality wherein he can wield a two-handed weapon and is still able to wield an item in the off-hand. This frees up a slot for a shield for more defense or the new grimoire for additional utility.
With that said, here are the best Warlock Builds in Diablo II: Resurrected in Season 13:
5. Mirrored Blades Warlock
If you are looking for a D2R Warlock Build that is best equipped to handle Uber Bosses, then the Mirrored Blades Warlock is a strong contender. This build shines by equipping it with the Breath of the Dying for maximum pain.
Mirrored Blades deal physical damage. When used, it creates copies of your weapon, and you hit enemies with them in melee range. What's interesting about Mirrored Blades is that you attack monsters relatively fast, which means that it's not affected by your equipped weapon's natural attack speed. That is why you put the runes for Breath of the Dying into an ethereal Thunder Maul so that you can delete Uber Bosses in Tristram easily.
Since the Mirrored Blades skill can be affected by Crushing Blow, you can equip the Gore Rider and Guillaume's Face to improve the proc chance. It is also a good idea to bring the Bone Break sunder charm with you in case you encounter enemies that are immune to physical damage.
Although Mirrored Blades is a single-target ability, this build can utilize Sigil: Death and Summon Defiler to deal with enemies in a small area.
The Mirrored Blades Warlock is a very strong character, especially for dispatching Ubers.
4. Blood Boil Warlock
When you take a closer inspection of the Warlock, you will find that the class is basically a combination of the Sorceress and Necromancer. By this, I mean that he can cast spells and summon minions at will. The Blood Boil Warlock leans more toward the latter because it utilizes skills that have something to do with the demon minions.
Blood Boil deals both fire and physical damage, so using items that improve both of these damage types is key. Some good options include Flickering Flame, Ars Tor'Baalos, and Mang Song's Lesson, among others. This skill actually requires your demons because it takes off a portion of their life when used to deal a mix of physical and fire damage to nearby enemies.
If you can afford Enigma, you can cast Teleport immediately after using Blood Boil to "Telestomp" enemies in the next screen, causing massive damage to those within the vicinity.
Bind Demon is a necessary utility skill for the Blood Boil Warlock because you want to bind Hephasto the Armorer, specifically a version of him that has the Conviction Aura. When done successfully, you will have a free Infinity that reduces the defense and resistance of monsters close by.
Aside from that, keep a close eye on your minions' health because Blood Boil reduces their HP every time it is used. You can heal them from time to time by casting Engorge.
So, where does the Blood Boil Warlock excel? Well, he is best utilized for elite hunting, and is also a solid choice for high-density maps like the Chaos Sanctuary and the Secret Cow Level.
3. Abyss Warlock
Things can get messy if you go up close and personal with the enemy. So, if you want a Warlock Build that can "snipe" enemies from afar, then this next one should suit you!
The Abyss Warlock uses the titular Abyss skill, which creates a tear on the ground that sucks nearby enemies in. Abyss deals magic damage, allowing you to bring in the pain against monsters in Nightmare and Hell Difficulty, even with budget gear.
If the enemies get too close, you can leverage Miasma Chain to tether yourself to the ground. While tethered, "go through" the monsters so that they receive continuous damage.
You can also pair Miasma Chain with Sigil: Death, which forces enemies to explode once they go below 13% of their maximum life. Unlike Abyss, the AoE explosion that comes from monsters affected by Sigil: Death deals fire damage, so you have a fallback option whenever you encounter magic-immune monsters.
This build does require you to reach the 125% FCR breakpoint. Luckily, you can easily achieve that by wearing the new Ars Dul'Mephistos and the Void Runeword, both of which combine for a whopping 75% FCR. The rest can be addressed by the Trang-Oul's Claws, Arachnid Mesh, and a couple of 10% FCR rings (rare).
The Abyss Warlock is what you should use if you want to farm Terror Zones. Its strong AoE damage and added utility provided by the complementary skills make it ideal for elite hunting and group killing.
2. Fire Warlock
The last two builds that I will highlight in this article are awesome for ladder start and endgame scenarios. Fire Warlock is exceptionally good as a ladder starter because it can get going with just a minimal investment.
With a low-level Summon Tainted skill, using Consume on the Tainted minion provides a boost to your fire damage for free. Enemies that are within your vicinity also receive -15% fire resistance, making your spells hit harder!
Speaking of spells, you actually have a couple of damaging abilities on this D2R build. The first is Apocalypse, which is a level 30 spell that deals a ton of fire damage. Plus, Apocalypse covers a pretty wide area, almost the entire screen, so all the monsters that you see are going to be affected!
Despite its power, Apocalypse is brought down a peg due to its relatively long cast delay. After pressing the hotkey for it, the skill still needs roughly two seconds to deal damage. During this period, you will actually use Flame Wave to complement it.
Flame Wave deals damage in two ways. The first is the initial wave that moves forward, and the second is through the patches of flame that get left behind.
During the ladder start, you can invest in a Spirit sword, Ancient's Pledge, and Stealth (on body armor). These pieces of gear should carry you well until you get your hands on Enigma and Obsession.
The Fire Warlock boasts incredible power, and I highly recommend it as an alternative to the best Warlock Build in Season 13, which is…
1. Echoing Strike Warlock
The Echoing Strike Warlock is incredibly powerful, so much so that a lot of people in the community deem it as the best Warlock Build in D2R Season 13. At the heart of this build is Echoing Strike, which is an ability that lets you hurl your weapon towards the enemy, sort of like a boomerang.
While it is not affected by Crushing Blow, Echoing Strike does benefit from Deadly Strike. Hence, using the Fortitude Runeword on a Thunder Maul works best here!
To improve your clear speed, you can activate Hex: Purge. This will give you a chance to make enemies explode when you hit them with Echoing Strike.
The thing that many people love about the Echoing Strike Warlock is that it can easily excel in all types of content, whether you have mediocre or endgame gear. Whether you are out there farming in Terror Zones or killing the new Colossal Ancients, the Echoing Strike Warlock will not disappoint!
