The Diablo franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary just recently. To commemorate this momentous occasion, Blizzard teased many new things that fans will surely enjoy. These include the new key details for the upcoming Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion, as well as the new Warlock Class for each of the active games currently being developed in the company.

There is certainly a lot to unpack here, so if you want a quick overview of the things to come for the games in this series, then I’ve got you! Today, I will recap what has transpired during the 30th anniversary livestream, so that you don’t have to watch the 40-minute video.

Everything Announced at the Diablo 30th Anniversary Event

Blizzard hosted a livestream event on February 11 as a celebration of Diablo’s 30th Anniversary. This presentation highlighted the new content that is coming to Diablo Immortal, Diablo 4, and Diablo II: Resurrected.

Having said that, here are the key dates that you need to be aware of:

New Class: Warlock

The Warlock is an anti-hero that is a bit similar to the Necromancer, albeit they have the ability to command demons at will (instead of the undead). If the going gets tough and the possessed demons are no longer powerful enough, the Warlock can cast destructive spells from the abyss itself.

If that got you excited, then I have more good news for you! The Warlock Class is coming to Diablo 4, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo II: Resurrected this year!

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred – At a Glance

Aside from the Warlock Class, you can expect a lot of amazing new content and features in Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred. Here is a rundown:

• Two New Classes: The Paladin is now playable in Diablo 4 if you pre-order the Lord of Hatred expansion. Although the Warlock has already been teased, this new class will only be available when the expansion launches in late April.
• New Region – Skovos Isles: Enter the capital city of Temis, where the towering statues of the Blessed Mother and Heavenly Father are present. In Temis, you will uncover the secrets of the Prime Evils, the Askari civilization, and the ancient wars that shaped the entire world of Sanctuary.
• War Plans: Do you find the current endgame of Diablo 4 dull and tedious? Well, the War Plans are a new mode that lets you craft a playlist of up to five endgame activities that you enjoy, all while making them more rewarding than ever before.
• Echoing Hatred: This new endgame mode lets you face infinite waves of monsters at increasing difficulty. The Echoing Hatred is not for the faint of heart because it will test your knowledge about your build and how capable it really is when it comes to tackling more challenging content.
• Horadric Cube: The ancient Horadric Cube returns with plenty of new recipes, allowing you to repurpose your D4 items to make gear that best improves your character.
• Talismans: This new feature brings set bonuses to Diablo 4. Talismans enable you to place Charms, and if you use various Charms of the same set, you’ll receive powerful bonuses unlike any other.
• Skill Rework: Each skill in the game can now be modified at a fundamental level. For instance, the Sorcerer’s Hydra spell can be augmented to force the hydras to spew freezing balls of ice, dealing cold damage instead of fire.
• Loot Filter: A long-requested feature is finally coming to Diablo 4! The Loot Filter lets you show or hide items on the ground, so that you are only left with things that you actually want to pick up.

D2R: Reign of the Warlock is Live

The Warlock is the first new class for Diablo II in 25 years. That said, if you want to get your hands on the Warlock right now, you can certainly do so in Diablo II: Resurrected. Do you have a copy of D2R already? If so, you only need to purchase the Reign of the Warlock DLC.

If you do not have the base game yet, you can buy Diablo II: Resurrected – Infernal Edition. This includes D2R, the Reign of the Warlock DLC, and some fantastic freebies!

In addition, Diablo II: Resurrected is now available on Steam! If you’ve got a Steam Deck, the game has been officially certified. This means full compatibility, so you can enjoy defeating the forces of Evil on the go!

Aside from the Warlock, the Reign of the Warlock DLC brings the following features to the game:

Diablo Immortal: Warlock Arrives This Summer

Blizzard’s mobile game, Diablo Immortal, won’t have new content until the second half of 2026. Despite that, this mobile game has plenty of new additions in store for you this summer.

For one, you’ll be able to explore Lut Gholein – a popular desert landscape that all D2 players should be familiar with. Unlike in the previous game, Lut Gholein in Diablo Immortal is divided into two regions: the Common Ward and the High Ward. The former is a huge area that’s overrun by demons, while the latter showcases the ruins of past glory.

Apparently, Andariel has been resurrected and has set her foot on Lut Gholein. The denizens of this once majestic landscape are now under the control of the Maiden of Anguish. It is your job to put an end to her reign! To help you with that, you can employ the power of the new Warlock Class.

Being practitioners of ancient Vizjerei magic, the Warlock can summon demons on the battlefield by casting the right spells. The Soulgorger is one of those demons. As its name implies, the Soulgorger can eat the minions of Hell and convert their energy into powerful buffs that benefit its master.

You can play as the new Warlock Class in Diablo Immortal for free. It is expected to arrive sometime in June 2026, alongside the following new content:

• New Zone: Lut Gholein
• New Endgame PVE Challenge
• New Helliquary Bosses
• New Zone Events
• New Endgame Boss: Andariel

Expect a developer livestream sometime in June, which will give more details about the upcoming additions in Diablo Immortal.
