The Tower Leaderboards for Diablo 4 are finally here! Surprisingly, this feature is now out of beta, so all of the issues that were present in its first iteration may have been ironed out. So, what has changed? Read through our Diablo 4 Leaderboards Guide to learn more!

What Changed for the Leaderboards in Diablo 4 Season 14?

Diablo 4 Artificer's Tower

The Artificer’s Tower is now live in Diablo 4 Season 14, just a few days after the launch of the new season. This may imply that Blizzard will follow the same schedule in future seasons, which is actually pretty good, as players no longer have to wait that long to get competitive.

That said, the Tower Leaderboards still have a page for each Diablo 4 class. Besides that, dedicated pages for groups of two, three, and four players are present as well.

Anyway, the solo leaderboards showcase the names of the Top 1,000 players for each class. You can actually inspect their build by clicking on a name and selecting the “View Build” option. Doing so will let you know the skills and D4 items they have equipped at the time they got the placement.

Diablo 4 Tower Leaderboards

Now that the Tower Leaderboards are out of beta, what has changed in Season 14? Well, there are now dedicated rewards that you can get just by completing the Artificer’s Tower as quickly as you can. You will get Favor after every run, which makes you eligible for rewards once you have accrued enough of it.

Tower and Leaderboards Rewards

The main reason for implementing the Artificer’s Tower in Diablo 4 is so that competitive players are compelled to join in on the fun by getting a spot on the leaderboards. Only the top 1,000 players will get a placement in the rankings, so if you wish to participate, make sure that you are using one of the meta builds in Diablo 4.

Having said that, there are a couple of things that you need to keep in mind when it comes to the D4 Tower Leaderboards. For one, you will be included in the Top 1,000 if you have finished the highest tier of The Tower above anyone else. This typically happens in the first week of the season, when most players are still in the process of gearing their characters, so only those who are armed to the teeth come close to Tower Tier 150.

In addition, if all players in the Top 1,000 are on the same Tower tier, then they are separated by how quickly they were able to finish the run. This is often the case after everyone has accomplished the same tier, so only players with the best clear times are represented on the leaderboards.

As mentioned earlier, there are now rewards that are up for grabs by participating in The Artificer’s Tower. You can find these in the Artificer’s Stash, which is located just to the left of Artificer’s Obelisk in Temis.

There are six rewards that you can get just by accumulating enough Favor from the Tower Leaderboards, such as:

Tier I: Gear and Runes

Tier II: Gear and Tempering Materials

Tier III: Gear and Masterworking Materials

Tier IV: Gear and Runes

Tier V: Gear and Runes (possibly higher chance of getting legendary runes)

Tier VI: Gear and Talismans

In addition, earning a spot on the leaderboards makes you eligible to receive exclusive Halos and cosmetics for your efforts.

D4 Leaderboards: Solo Self-Found and Hardcore Filters

Diablo 4 Season 14 has also added a new feature called Solo Self-Found Mode (or SSF). As you can tell, this mode lets you play the game without the ability to party up or trade with other people. Hence, it is the perfect avenue for competitive players to have a level playing field, since it is not possible to trade and funnel items directly to one person or so.

If you want to get your name on the D4 Tower Leaderboards, your best bet is to participate in the Solo Self-Found leaderboards. We believe that it’s a much fairer fight for everyone due to the mode’s inherent restrictions.

Additionally, Hardcore Mode has dedicated leaderboards for Hardcore (regular) and Hardcore (Solo Self-Found). Hardcore is not meant for the faint of heart, as death in this mode is permanent. However, it is there specifically for die-hard fans of the game who want a much greater challenge.

Whether you are playing on Normal, Hardcore, or Solo Self-Found, the Tower Leaderboards offer filters so that you can see the players who have ranked in these categories.

Best Builds for Tower Leaderboards in Diablo 4

To get included in the Tower Leaderboards, you have to choose a Diablo 4 build that has a good combination of clear speed, mobility, and boss damage. To give you some inspiration, here are the current strongest tower pushing builds in Diablo 4:

Evade Counterswarm Spiritborn: The current chart-topper, this build moves quickly by using Ravager to weave through monster packs. The real damage of this build, however, comes from the Pestilent Swarms that are produced by the Counterattack skill.

Storm Shred Druid: This Druid build has strong damage output thanks to the Storm Shepherd's Call Talisman set, Ifeh’s Dire Totem, and Azurewrath. While its mobility is a bit slower than that of the Spiritborn's, the Storm Shred Druid is quick to dispatch monster packs instead.

Firewall Sorcerer: The Sorcerer is always a good Tower-pushing class because of its ability to move quickly via Teleport. However, what makes the Firewall Sorcerer special is that it burns enemies with heavy fire damage due to the “Ring of Fire” variant for the Firewall skill.

Penetrating Shot Rogue: The bug that caused the Penetrating Shot Rogue to reach Tier 150 back then has already been fixed. The good news is that its poison variant can deal immense damage to single targets, thus making quick work of the Tower boss.

Rend Barbarian: The Rend Barbarian is quite strong this season, especially one that uses the “Blood Sworn” upgrade for Rend. Blood Sworn makes Rend spread the bleed to a random enemy, which is good for clearing huge monster packs. The Rend Barbarian also has strong defenses thanks to Challenging Shout, Rallying Cry, and Iron Skin, so it’s no wonder that this build is topping the leaderboards.

Diablo 4 Pit vs. Tower Leaderboards

There is an important distinction to be made with regard to the leaderboards in Diablo 4. Basically, only The Tower has the “official” leaderboards in the game, where you can see the names of the Top 1,000 players for each class by pressing the “Y” key on the keyboard and then clicking on “Leaderboards.”

While the Pit does not have a set of leaderboards of its own, there are third-party websites that keep track of the best Pit clear speeds for each class (akin to the Tower Leaderboards). You can go to these platforms for inspiration, especially on the gear and affixes they have used to top the unofficial Pit leaderboards.

FAQ

What are the Tower Leaderboards?

The Tower Leaderboards showcase the Top 1,000 players for each class in the game that have completed the highest Tower Tiers or cleared the Artificer’s Tower the fastest.

The names of these players are prominently put on the leaderboards for everyone to see. People can click on the names to view the top players’ builds for inspiration and guidance.

Is There a Leaderboard for Solo Self-Found in Diablo 4?

Yes. The same goes for Hardcore Mode as well.

What Rewards Can I Get for Ranking on the Leaderboards?

You can gain Favor by completing the Tower. When you have accumulated enough, you can interact with the Artificer’s Stash in Temis to obtain caches based on the amount of Favor you have. These reward caches contain gear, masterworking/tempering materials, and runes, depending on the tier of the reward.

Does the Tower Leaderboard Reset?

Yes. The Tower Leaderboards reset by cycle. This is indicated when you bring up the Leaderboards UI. After which, those who previously did not rank in the Top 1,000 have a chance to get placed on the leaderboards.
