Patch 0.2.0 brought a plethora of unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. In this article, we are going to go over them one by one so that you will know which unique item you can incorporate in your next PoE 2 build.

If you want to buy PoE 2 Unique Items that will be mentioned here, our PoE 2 Store has everything that you need. We are open 24/7 with a wide selection of items and currencies that will make your character so much more awesome!

New Unique Items in Patch 0.2.0

Since there are a bunch of new unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, we will go over them by category. This is so that it will be much easier for you to read the information that you need. With that said, let’s begin with a bunch of new unique body armor.

Patch 0.2.0 brings a plethora of new Unique Items in Dawn of the Hunt, each pushing the boundaries of what was possible before. If you want a broader overview of all major adjustments—item changes, skill tweaks, and system updates—see Here Are the Biggest Changes in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt.

Unique Body Armors in Patch 0.2.0

Cloak of Defiance

The Cloak of Defiance is an amazing body armor for defense, especially if you have a ton of mana. This thing has a unique effect that is similar to Mind Over Matter, where 30% of the damage you have received is taken from mana before life.

In case you do not know, Mind Over Matter is good when it comes to improving your survivability, particularly if you are playing an INT build with a large mana pool. However, this particular keystone passive has a huge downside that significantly reduces your mana recovery rate.

Although Cloak of Defiance only transfers 30% of the damage you receive to mana, it is still a good compromise knowing that you get increased energy shield, mana, and mana regeneration rate from wearing this unique body armor.

Gloamgown

This next unique body armor could have been one of the best unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt if Grim Feast was still available in the game. Why is that, you ask?

Well, Gloamgown is the only body armor in PoE 2 that increases your energy shield recharge rate by a whopping 1,000%! That is not variable, by the way, which means that you get the full amount at all times.

Now, the reason why we mentioned Grim Feast here is that the said Spirit Skill used to overflow your ES in the past, allowing you to double the amount of energy shield that you have. With Gloamgown’s 1,000% increased energy shield recharge rate, enemies will find it incredibly hard to eliminate you!

If we were to rank Gloamgown, it would be placed in the C Tier until Grim Feast or any other item can overflow your energy shield somehow. Perhaps in the future, we might get such an item, so stay tuned and visit our PoE 2 Store often for any updates on this.

Hyrri’s Ire

Do you want to take advantage of something that works like the Acrobatics keystone passive? If so, you will definitely love this next unique item!

Hyrri’s Ire is a one-of-a-kind item in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt because it is the only unique body armor that has added cold damage to attacks. Typically, you see this modifier on your weapon, gloves, and rings; not from the body armor. That is why it’s an interesting unique item to wear for attack builds that deal elemental damage like the PoE 2 Wind Serpent’s Fury Deadeye Build Guide, for example.

Aside from that, Hyrri’s Ire allows you to evade all attacks and spells if you have not been hit in the past four seconds. This is like the Acrobatics keystone without the heavy evasion penalty!

The only thing we do not like about this unique body armor is that it has a low increased evasion modifier for a level 73 item. Despite that, Hyrri’s Ire is definitely something you might want to consider in the endgame if you are using an attack damage build in PoE 2.

Sacrosanctum

Grinding Gear Games is very specific when it comes to the modifiers they put on an item in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, which is why we are baffled that this next unique item is not worth being a level 68 body armor.

Sacrosanctum has a unique effect where life recoup modifiers also recover energy shield at the same amount. The problem with this is that the body armor itself does not have any “Damage Taken Recouped as Life” modifiers, so you will have to add them somewhere—may it be on the passive tree or by inserting some rare jewels.

You do get a considerable amount of STR, INT, and chaos resistance, so those are probably good for a level 68 item. This might be awesome for when the Druid class comes to PoE. This is considering that the Druid’s Bear Form can take full advantage of life recoup effects and having energy shield recoup from this body armor may help improve survivability.

Sands of Silk

For a game that is devoid of movement-boosting abilities, Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt does feature some of them. A case in point is Blink—a Spirit Skill that effectively replaces the Dodge Roll, allowing you to teleport a short distance to avoid enemy attacks and whatnot.

If you have used Blink before and would like to use it without spending 60 points of Spirit, you might want to consider getting the Sands of Silk.

The Sands of Silk is a unique body armor that you can wear at level 16, assuming that you are able to get the Level 5 Blink version. Similar to items that grant skills, the level requirement of Sands of Silk also increases the higher the level of Blink is.

We think that the Sands of Silk is not a particularly good item in the endgame, though it certainly adds value if you are still in the campaign. Having Blink without reserving a huge chunk of Spirit is nice, especially when you factor in the body armor’s other modifiers, such as DEX, INT, fire resistance, and increased evasion rating.

Silks of Veneration

If you are not aware of the changes in Patch 0.2.0, GGG has completely removed Grim Feast in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. This was a Spirit Skill that enabled you to recover your energy shield by picking up Grim Remnants off the ground. We believe that one of the reasons why they have removed Grim Feast from the game is so that some interactions will not make you completely invincible. Such is the case with this next unique item—Silks of Veneration.

The Silks of Veneration turns your energy shield into a much stronger defensive layer. More specifically, this unique body armor empowers your energy shield to also mitigate elemental damage (similar to what armor can do with physical damage).

The reason why the Grim Feast was alluded to is that the Silks of Veneration can include some “overflowed” energy shield as well. So imagine having 6,000 energy shield (3,000 maximum + overflowed ES), wearing the Silks of Veneration would give you tons of elemental damage mitigation at your disposal!

With the removal of Grim Feast, only the Invoker ascendancy class could take advantage of Silks of Veneration to its fullest extent.

Tabula Rasa

Fans of the original Path of Exile are very familiar with this next unique item. The Tabula Rasa is now in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt but it does have one major difference compared to the PoE 1 version. Basically, the Tabula Rasa in PoE 2 has six rune sockets, which is in line with the new skill system in the sequel.

Having said that, the Tabula Rasa does not have any defensive modifiers and attributes at all. What makes it interesting, though, is that you can place six different runes depending on the defensive modifiers you want to put in.

One thing to keep in mind is that even though the Tabula Rasa has no level requirement, it does require you to be at a certain level depending on the tier of runes you put in.

For example, if you place the Lesser Desert Rune to increase your fire resistance inside of the body armor, you can certainly wear the Tabula Rasa even at level 1. However, the same story cannot be said when inserting the regular Desert Rune since this particular socketable item needs you to be at level 15.

Be that as it may, the Tabula Rasa is a very useful unique item for leveling in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt.

The Coming Calamity

Next up, we have a powerful body armor that you might want to invest in, particularly if you are playing an elemental damage build in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. The Coming Calamity has a couple of topnotch modifiers that make it stand out.

First, it is the only body armor in the game that grants all three elemental herald skills. This includes the Herald of Ash, Herald of Ice, and Herald of Thunder. These are all activated without reserving 90 Spirit, which saves you Spirit for other buffs that can improve your PoE 2 build!

Second, The Coming Calamity makes it so that nearby enemies do not have any resistance to elemental damage. This modifier alone makes you deal huge amounts of fire, cold, or lightning damage!

Although this body armor can drop anywhere, it seems that it is a pretty rare one. If you do not want to farm it yourself, you can buy The Coming Calamity in our PoE 2 Store!

The Fallen Formation

Banner skills like War Banner, Defiance Banner, and Dread Banner provide useful buffs if you plant them with at least 25 Valour. The reason why they are not popular despite the benefits they give is that Valour can only be gained once per second when a unique enemy is within close proximity. Of course, this is quite clunky since you’d have to wait 25 seconds for you to take full advantage of the banner skills.

Well, The Fallen Formation alleviates the need to wait that long. That is because this body armor has a unique effect that makes banner skills like the ones mentioned above always have Maximum Valour.

Therefore, when you equip The Fallen Formation, you can drop whatever Banner Skill you like at full strength! This even works much better when playing the Tactician ascendancy class. Do you know why? Read our PoE 2 Tactician Ascendancy Class guide to learn more.

The Mutable Star

If you are struggling to survive in Act 4 and above, you might want to invest in The Mutable Star. This unique body armor provides additional physical damage mitigation equal to your current energy shield value. Pay attention to the word “current” as it does not take into account your “maximum” energy shield when it comes to the armor’s unique effect.

Vis Mortis

We don’t know what to feel with this next unique body armor because the downside is just too much for a relatively mediocre payoff. Vis Mortis gives your minions Unholy Might, which is a buff that grants 30% of damage as extra chaos damage.

That may sound good and all on the surface, but wait until you hear about its negative effects. To counterbalance the Unholy Might, the Vis Mortis reduces your minions’ maximum life by 50%!

Vis Mortis could be a potentially good option for a level 58 body armor, especially if you want your minions to kill enemies quickly. However, you may have to improve your minions’ defenses to ensure that they do not die easily as well.

Waveshaper

We might see this next unique body armor as a potential great item for the Druid Class in Path of Exile 2 later down the line. The Waveshaper greatly boosts your energy shield recharge rate just by improving your mana regeneration rate. You can get mana regen modifiers on jewels and on the passive tree.

Aside from that, Waveshaper provides additional armor based on (30-50%) of your maximum mana. Even if you have only 1,500 mana, that still translates to 750 armor, which does improve your ability to mitigate physical damage.

Widow’s Reign

Widow’s Reign functions quite similarly to Petrified Blood in the original game, albeit it’s so much better! This body armor greatly improves your survivability by making the damage you receive from a recent hit be reserved instead of being dealt immediately.

The damage that has been reserved can be recovered by using a Life Flask or via your inherent life regeneration. The latter makes it so that you can take advantage of Eternal Youth (keystone) to completely replenish the life reserved by Widow’s Reign!

Take note that you will still die if you have received huge amounts of damage in a short amount of time. That is why having your main defensive layers in check is still a priority even with Widow’s Reign equipped.

Yriel’s Fostering

Tame Beast is a new skill that was introduced in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. This allows you to tame a wild beast and turn it into a powerful companion. Some beasts provide certain auras and effects that allow you to initiate combos you cannot normally pull off alone. If you have a few tamed beasts at your disposal but find it difficult to choose only one, then Yriel’s Fostering will help solve your problem!

Yriel’s Fostering allows you to have two companions summoned at the same time, with the only condition being that they have to be of different types. Well, that is not an issue at all considering that there are plenty of beasts you can find in the game!

Maybe the only real problem here is to find a couple of truly awesome companions to fight alongside you. But if that is not a concern, then Yriel’s Fostering is a nice investment!

Zerphi’s Serape

At first glance, you might think that Zerphi’s Serape is a useless item since it only has increased EV/ES and maximum mana as its positive modifiers. However, when you look at the “Soul Eater,” you will find that there is more to this unique body armor than meets the eye!

For those who do not know, Soul Eater is actually a powerful buff in PoE 2 that grants 3% increased attack/cast speed and 2% less damage taken per soul, up to a maximum of 45 souls! You will have to be proactive, though, because the souls you have accumulated disappear rapidly if you have not gained a soul in the past several seconds.

Regardless, Zerphi’s Serape can be considered a good unique item for leveling. You just have to deal relatively good damage to gain the initial amount of souls and the power of this body armor ramps up quickly after that.

Unique Weapons in Patch 0.2.0

Chainsting

Being able to immobilize enemies in Path of Exile 2 is really good from a survival standpoint. That is because pinned enemies are stuck in place and are unable to evade incoming attacks for several seconds, making them easier to kill.

Chainsting is pretty much like adding Pin Support to your skills because all damage from hits with this weapon contributes to pin build-up. Projectile Speed, especially early on, is not something worth investing in just yet. However, Chainsting's up to 30% boost in projectile speed is still welcome nevertheless.

Cursecarver

Cursecarver is a very powerful unique wand if you could somehow tame its downside. We will discuss its positives first.

The biggest feature of Cursecarver is that it can provide you with +4 to the level of a random curse skill. These curse skills are:

  • Conductivity
  • Despair
  • Enfeeble
  • Flammability
  • Hypothermia
  • Temporal Chains
  • Vulnerability

This unique wand also gives you up to 100% increased spell damage, 20% increased cast speed, and 50% increased mana regeneration rate. So, what's the catch?

The downside of Cursecarver is that you lose 10 HP for each enemy you kill while this wand is equipped. That is more dangerous than you think because you are always surrounded by enemies in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, which means that killing a group of monsters could kill you if you do not have a very good life sustain.

Still, if you can find a way to have good life regeneration, then the Cursecarver is definitely something worth considering. Also, this works really well for those who have the Chaos Inoculation keystone passive allocated!

Daevata's Wind

The Huntress is the headlining feature of Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, so it is only fitting that GGG adds new unique spears to the game as well. That said, we have the first unique spear on this list and it's called Daevata's Wind.

Daevata's Wind is an optimal unique spear for leveling because, at level 21, you could receive a hefty damage boost just by alternating between melee and projectile attacks. This weapon is so powerful that we will not be surprised if this gets nerfed by GGG!

Doomfletch

Another good leveling unique item, this time for bow users! Doomfletch grants 50% of physical damage as extra damage of each element every time you shoot arrows at the enemy. Although you might not have enough physical damage at level 22, it will ramp up when you have access to more physical damage modifiers on your passive tree or from your other pieces of gear.

Mjölner

Mjölner was popular in the original game and it certainly has potential in the sequel as well! This unique one-handed mace allows you to trigger lightning spells on a melee hit.

You might think that the said effect is nothing to write home about but that is not true! The reason why Mjölner is awesome is that you can actually socket any lightning spell of your choosing. Some good options include Lightning Conduit, Ball Lightning, and Arc!

It is also worth noting that the lightning spells are triggered with every melee strike. So, use fast-attacking mace skills like Rolling Slam, Volcanic Fissure, or Mace Strike to rapidly trigger the lightning spell thanks to Mjölner!

Nebuloch

In the past, there were only a handful of crit builds for the Warrior Class in PoE 2. That is because allocating Resolute Technique, which makes your attacks unavoidable at the cost of not being able to land a critical hit, is usually taken as one of the passive skills for Warrior Builds. However, this next unique item might incentivize you to try on a different approach and actually invest in crit!

Nebuloch guarantees that you critically hit an enemy when you have an Endurance Charge prior to using your primary ability. You do receive 100 chaos damage per second if you have any unused Endurance Charges, so make sure that you go ham when you have this one-handed mace equipped!

To gain Endurance Charges easily, incorporate the Magma Barrier into your build. Magma Barrier allows you to gain an Endurance Charge when you successfully block a melee attack.

Saitha's Spear

Saitha's Spear has a unique property that allows you to aggravate bleeding on the enemy when hit. Any bleeding monsters that have their condition aggravated by this unique spear will also aggravate Ignites on them, dealing 100% extra fire damage in the process!

You could use Rake to ensure that you inflict Bleeding with just one hit. For Ignite, you need to have “Fire Damage to Attacks” either on your gloves or your rings. You can buy a Breach Ring with such a modifier from our PoE 2 Store, by the way, which you can get right now if you want!

Sculpted Suffering

There are certain abilities in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt that will reward you handsomely whenever you use them on enemies with fully broken armor. One such skill is Sunder, which consumes fully broken armor to guarantee a critical hit.

Now, there are multiple ways to break the enemy’s armor in a jiffy, and one of those is the Sculpted Suffering. This unique one-handed mace allows you to break armor equal to 40% of the damage you have dealt to the target using this weapon.

Additionally, enemies that you kill with Sculpted Suffering are shattered similar to killing frozen monsters in PoE 2. Because of this, you cannot use skills that consume/use a corpse like Detonate Dead or Bind Spectre since there are no dead bodies to be found when they are shattered.

Shyaba

Two-handed maces are known to hit hard but are terribly slow to swing. Shyaba begs to differ because this weapon can attack nearly twice per second thanks to its 50% increased attack speed mod!

But more importantly, Shyaba has a feature that ensures your attacks never miss! So, not only do you swing this two-handed mace so fast but you also strike monsters with a 100% success rate! Yup, that is what this weapon is capable of!

Sire of Shards

Sire of Shards has an interesting unique property where your projectile spells fire several additional projectiles. However, these projectiles are forced to fire in a circle, so it might not be the best option for all spells. Still, Spire of Shards is worth considering if you want your spells to behave in a certain way, perhaps while leveling during Act 2 or Act 3 in the campaign.

Skysliver

Any PoE 2 item always deals damage or provides defense within a spectrum. However, Skysliver only deals damage based on the minimum or maximum damage values; no more, no less! This applies to each damage type, so if you deal fire and lightning damage at the same time, the amount of damage they inflict is rolled separately. What this means is that the fire damage could deal its maximum value while the lightning damage can only inflict the minimum (or vice versa).

This unique spear can actually be quite powerful later on if you are able to allocate the "Stars Aligned" notable passive skill. This passive node states that the damage you deal with hits against enemies that are on low life is "Lucky," essentially getting the best values of each roll.

Would you use Skysliver on your next PoE 2 Amazon Build?

Slivertongue

Lightning Arrow and Ice Shot users will find this next weapon of great value during their leveling journey! Slivertongue has a unique property that makes arrows pierce all targets immediately after forking. This does not have any downsides whatsoever, allowing you to deal the full extent of the damage of your skill even when the projectiles pierce due to Slivertongue's unique effect!

Spire of Ire

Spire of Ire gives you the ability to stack Chaos Infusion. What Chaos Infusion does is it converts 100% of your physical damage to chaos damage on your next projectile attack. In doing so, you consume one stack of Chaos Infusion.

What’s more, if you have any life leech effects on your PoE 2 build, life stolen from leeching enemies is recovered based on the amount of chaos damage you deal with this weapon and not from physical damage.

The only downside of Spire of Ire is that the weapon itself does not have any physical damage-boosting mods, so damage conversion for Chaos Infusion may be mediocre if you have no physical damage modifiers anywhere else.

Splinter of Loratta

Poison damage in PoE 2 normally gets overridden if it is already at maximum stacks. This could be circumvented by taking certain notable passive skills or going for the Pathfinder ascendancy class. However, Splinter of Loratta offers more than that, making it an awesome leveling unique item in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt!

Basically, Splinter of Loratta bypasses the maximum limit of poisons, allowing you to inflict as many poison stacks as possible. The only thing that could hinder you from applying more stacks is your attack speed given that this is a low-level weapon (can be equipped at level 1).

Once you are able to hit enemies at a rate of 1.8 attacks per second (or higher), you will find the Splinter of Loratta to be quite potent in dealing with monsters, especially in the campaign!

Tangletongue

Tangletongue is a unique spear in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt that has an interesting property that states “Forks Critical Hits.” This is quite confusing to understand, so we will explain it in the most simple way.

Basically, this modifier invisibly rolls its chance to critically hit enemies with attacks about two times. If both of the rolls are positive (meaning successful), the attack you make with this weapon will not only be a critical hit but also apply a critical damage bonus times three! If only one of the rolls succeeds, the attack that you unleash will land as a critical hit on the enemy, though a critical damage bonus is applied normally.

If you play the Amazon ascendancy class and you take the Critical Strike ascendancy node on your first ascension, you will definitely get the most out of Tangletongue, making it an awesome leveling unique item in PoE 2!

The Empty Roar

Warcry skills in PoE 2, such as Seismic Cry and Infernal Cry, empower your next attack. While they provide good benefits, they can only empower a single skill use, forcing you to use them again if you want your subsequent attacks to be empowered as well.

With that said, The Empty Roar prevents you from using Warcry Skills, though that is a fair compromise considering that all your attacks count as empowered when you have this unique two-handed mace equipped!

It is unclear whether you gain the effects of all warcry skills or just the one that you have equipped in your skills panel. Still, The Empty Roar might just be your next unique item for your Warrior Build in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt!

The Hammer of Faith

One of the early unique items announced for PoE 2 Patch 0.2.0, The Hammer of Faith lets you gain a shrine buff every 10 seconds. While there are shrine buffs that could boost your character’s abilities, we are not sure if they are enough for the endgame, especially when you consider that The Hammer of Faith is a level 65 two-handed mace.

The Wicked Quill

Do you plan on using chaos damage spells like Contagion or Essence Drain? If so, you will find The Wicked Quill to be very useful! This wand allows your spells to inflict “Withered” on enemies that are hit by them. If you do not know, Wither is a stacking debuff in PoE 2 that makes monsters receive more chaos damage for several seconds. If you are able to incorporate increased cast speed mods early on, then The Wicked Quill works even better!

Tidebreaker

Do you want your enemies to be slowed significantly, leaving them with no chance to escape? If so, the Tidebreaker weapon might entice you! Tidebreaker is a unique two-handed mace that allows you to slow enemies down with increasing effectiveness every time you land a successful hit.

The Tidebreaker could have been a game-changer if not for its incredibly slow attack speed. If you are going to use it, you might as well go for slow yet damaging skills like Eartshatter or Sunder to get the most out of the Tidebreaker.

Tyranny’s Grip

Tyranny’s Grip is more of a bait rather than something useful. You see, the Huntress is a class that rewards you well when you use combo skills like Whirling Slash and Twister together. So, it does not make sense if you only do melee attacks or throw projectiles (but not both), making Tyranny’s Grip rather useless when it comes to overall viability.

Sure, you might get baited into thinking this weapon is great for a level 5 unique spear that has up to 200% increased physical damage. But, this comes at the heavy price of not being able to use any projectile attacks, so skills like Lightning Spear and Twister are out of the equation!

If there is any consolation, strike skills deal splash damage to nearby targets. Maybe Tyranny’s Grip was made to make Spear Stab and Whirlwind Slash better offensively, but that’s about it.

Voltaxic Rift

Poison skills in PoE 2 are not widely used, but this next unique item might give them a boost in popularity, especially if you are a bow user. Voltaxic Rift converts all your lightning damage to chaos damage. This makes it easier for you to scale damage since modifiers that boost lightning damage are more accessible than chaos damage mods.

Additionally, you can inflict Shock even when using chaos damage bow skills like Toxic Growth and Gas Arrow. Thanks to Voltaxic Rift, you might find it more enjoyable to utilize the aforementioned skills in Patch 0.2.0!

Unique Shields in Patch 0.2.0

Bloodbarrier

Parrying is not a good defensive skill to use in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. As of now, it just feels clunky with a mediocre payoff. However, you might find this unique shield very enticing even if you do not use Parry at all.

The Bloodbarrier is a unique buckler introduced in Patch 0.2.0 that inflicts Corrupted Blood on enemies when you successfully block an attack. You only need to scale your block chance to get the most out of this shield’s unique effect!

What’s awesome about Corrupted Blood is that it can stack up to 10 times. If you are able to block multiple attacks with Bloodbarrier in quick succession, you can easily eliminate every monster you encounter in the campaign!

Calgyra’s Arc

Parry is a new skill that is offered by DEX-based Bucklers in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. You can parry melee attacks and projectiles, though you can only do that with the latter if the projectiles are fired at very close range (about 1 meter).

That said, Calgyra’s Arc makes a strong case if you like the parrying mechanic in PoE 2. This is a unique buckler that enables you to parry projectiles at any range. However, keep in mind that despite the infinite parry range, you still need to face the same direction the projectile was fired from. So if an arrow is fired from the left side, you have to be facing the same direction as well to parry it successfully.

Other than that, Calgyra’s Arc does not offer much. You do get a 50% increase in Parried Debuff duration (so 3 seconds in total), but that is pretty much the only other incentive for using this unique buckler.

Chernobog’s Pillar

When you look at Chernobog’s Pillar, you may already have an idea of what it does. And no, it does not increase your light radius by any means! However, it does provide you with fire damage for each 1% chance to block attacks!

Therefore, if you are going to use Chernobog’s Pillar, you have to raise your block chance until you reach the cap of 75%. With this shield equipped, you might want to go all out on fire damage, utilizing skills like Perfect Strike and Volcanic Fissure to get the most out of this unique shield.

Dunkelhalt

Parrying attacks in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt may not be as appealing as initially thought. However, it doesn’t have to suck! Thankfully, there are unique items like the Dunkelhalt that incentivize you to parry incoming attacks.

Dunkelhalt boosts the magnitude of the parried debuff on enemies, essentially making them take more damage with subsequent hits. The only problem with this is that the shield also makes you take 50% of damage when you block an attack or spell, so you’re not able to totally mitigate incoming damage from hits.

The question is: Are you willing to use Parry if you have the Dunkelhalt equipped?

Nocturne

When you successfully parry an attack, the attacker receives a debuff that makes them take more attack damage with subsequent skills. This next unique shield takes on a new approach where the Parried Debuff actually makes enemies suffer from more spell damage rather than attack damage! Yes, that is what Nocturne is capable of!

Aside from changing the property of the Parried Debuff, Nocturne increases the duration of said debuff from two to three seconds as well. If you want to utilize Nocturne, you might want to use spells that can be cast quickly, such as Spark, Frost Bomb, or Frostbolt. This is so that you can land more hits since you only have a three-second window before that damage-boosting debuff expires.

Some of these new uniques provide big boosts to projectile skills or spell-based builds. For example, Spire of Shards adds extra projectiles in a circle. If Spark is your thing, the PoE 2 [0.2.0] Spark Stormweaver Build Guide offers insight on how to scale Spark with these kinds of Unique Items and which ones are best suited.

Prism Guardian

Are you sad with the changes made to Oaksworn in PoE 2 Patch 0.2.0? That unique shield used to provide 50 points of Spirit right off the bat without any compromises. However, the Oaksworn is practically useless now, especially for minion builds. So, you’re probably asking: Where should I get more spirit now? Fortunately, you will find your answer in the Prism Guardian!

Prism Guardian is now the best shield to use if you want to improve your maximum Spirit. Why? Because it has a unique property that provides an increase of one Spirit for every 50 points of your maximum life!

Since most people who create minion builds in Path of Exile 2 go for the Infernalist ascendancy class, increasing maximum life will be a cinch! Hence, if you like to use the Prism Guardian, choose the Infernalist for sure!

Redblade Banner

Some skills in PoE 2 factor in monster power when calculating the bonuses they provide. For example, Infernal Cry grants extra fire damage based on the total power of nearby enemies at the time you used the said warcry skill. If you like this playstyle, then you are going to love the Redblade Banner!

The Redblade Banner essentially doubles the amount of power you receive from monsters. So, if you use Infernal Cry with a couple of rare monsters within close proximity, you get a total of 20 Monster Power as a result!

In addition, the Redblade Banner offers an impressive package of defensive mods for a level 33 shield, including (60-100)% increased armor, (20-30)% increased block chance, and +(100-150) to stun threshold.

Rondel de Ezo

In Act 1, the Hunting Grounds is riddled with monsters that hurl multiple projectiles at you at the same time. Having Rondel de Ezo equipped might save you because this unique shield greatly enhances your ability to block incoming projectiles.

What’s more, Rondel de Ezo curses enemies with Enfeeble on block, making them deal less damage to you by about 20%. If you can snag one up and decide to use it on your second character in PoE 2, then Rondel de Ezo should help you breeze through the early parts of the campaign!

Silverthorne

The Amazon ascendancy class in PoE 2 can already achieve a high crit chance on her own just by taking a single notable ascendancy passive skill. However, if you are still not satisfied with that, you could improve her critical strike chance even further by having her wear the Silverthorne unique shield.

Silverthorne applies 10 stacks of Critical Weakness on enemies on a successful parry. This should improve your chance to land critical hits by 5%, even more so when the enemy suffers from 20 stacks!

Although Parry feels clunky to use, Silverthorne does incentivize you to do it more often since the Critical Weakness debuff it applies certainly helps in the early parts of the campaign.

Sunsplinter

Even if you do not like using Parry, this next unique shield is still quite promising nevertheless. Sunsplinter increases your survivability by improving your maximum fire, cold, and lightning resistance by 1%, 2%, and 3%, respectively.

Moreover, the main reason why you’d want to get your hands on Sunsplinter is that this unique buckler grants the same level increase for your fire, cold, and lightning skills! For the cherry on top, this unique shield can roll up to 300% increased evasion rating as well!

Given its amazing utility and bonuses, we believe that the Sunsplinter is one of the most popular unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. So, if you need PoE 2 Divine Orbs to buy this shield, visit our store today!

Window to Paradise

Do you want to play the Huntress and utilize any of her elemental damage abilities, such as Explosive Spear, Lightning Spear, and Fangs of Frost? If so, the Window to Paradise is a shield that you must try out!

Window to Paradise has a unique effect that allows you to apply elemental exposure to any monster that is within three meters in front of you. This can only be done when you raise the shield long enough until the exposure debuff is in effect.

This makes the aforementioned skills deal more damage for several seconds since elemental exposure reduces the elemental resistance of affected monsters by 20%.

Unique Helmets in Patch 0.2.0

Blood Price

Blood Price is something that PoE 2 minion builds could use to their advantage. GGG has reduced the presence area of effect of players by about two meters in Patch 0.2.0. A lot of people were mad about it, but with this next unique item, one can understand why the company had to do it.

Blood Price is a unique helmet that increases your presence radius by up to 60%. However, the more interesting part of this item is that enemies that are near you have at least 10% of their maximum life reserved, so you’re getting a headstart that allows you (or your minions) to kill them more efficiently.

The only problem with Blood Price is that you can’t take advantage of passive skills that only work against enemies at their full health. But, if you do not have such passives allocated, then this is a unique helmet worth considering for your minion build.

Crown of Eyes

Crown of Eyes is fairly limited in its use in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. Later down the line, though, you will find that this will be one of the best unique items in PoE 2!

The reason why we have said that is Crown of Eyes has a unique modifier that states any increases in spell damage also apply to attacks. If you are going to wear this one right now, you can benefit from using a caster focus with up to 100% spell damage or more, as well as an amulet that has 50% spell damage. With that combination, you will have 150% increased attack damage!

With more interactions in the future, Crown of Eyes will definitely be one of the best unique items in the game. If you can buy one using PoE 2 Exalted Orbs, then you must do so!

Heatshiver

The Heatshiver has gotten a new look in PoE 2 because this is also an item you can find in the original game. That said, this unique helmet grants cold damage as extra fire damage per 1% of your Chill Magnitude on the enemy.

At the moment, the default Maximum Chill Magnitude in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt is 50%, you will get 50% extra fire damage if you’re able to stack that high of an amount on the enemy.

You could have the Ice Strike Invoker wear it as a way to heavily boost damage output, especially considering the nerfs made to the ascendancy class in Patch 0.2.0. Although, you can certainly have other cold damage builds utilize it to a great effect as well.

Indigon

This next unique helmet may have a lot of value in the future, but for now, it’s a hard sell. Indigon grants heaps of spell damage when you spend 200 mana recently. That sounds good, right? The problem is that this helmet not only greatly increases the mana cost of your skills but also prevents most sources of mana recovery (except for mana regeneration).

If you are willing to take that risk, then we suggest that you go for the Lich ascendancy class in PoE 2. That is because her “Soulless Form” can provide you with generous amounts of mana regeneration based on your total life.

As for skills, you could use Indigon with Essence Drain and Contagion as both skills can definitely take advantage of the heavy boost in spell damage provided by the said unique helmet.

Scold’s Bridle

Spell damage is typically a modifier that you don’t see in rare items in Path of Exile 2. However, Scold’s Bridle can roll up to 100% increased spell damage if you are lucky with its roll. It also has other goods like a 150-point boost to maximum energy shield and a 100-point increase to maximum mana.

Although gaining spell damage in an equipment slot that usually doesn’t roll one is good, Scold’s Bridle isn’t without any downsides. If anything, the disadvantages outweigh the pros in this regard because a 15% reduced cast speed is noticeable, and the (25-100%) mana cost you spend for skills will be dealt to you as physical damage.

Should you wear the Scold’s Bridle? Well, if you can find a way to mitigate the physical damage you get with every cast of your skill to the point that it is negligible, then maybe this unique helmet is not bad for you.

Starkonja’s Head

Whether you play an evasion-based class like the Ranger/Huntress or you just want a piece of gear that offers a good mix of offense and defense, then you may find Starkonja’s Head worth using!

At its core, this unique helmet provides up to 200% increased evasion, 25% critical hit chance, and 40 dexterity. However, the most important modifier here is that 15% of the damage you receive is taken from your companion’s life before you, which is pretty huge when you are in endgame maps!

Additionally, Starkonja’s Head provides you with a hefty 150% boost in your global evasion rating when your HP dips to below 35%! What is there not to love about this thing?

The Black Insignia

Do you like the “Gathering Winds” ascendancy node from the Deadeye so much and you are wondering if there is a way to port it to other ascendancy classes somehow? Well, in Patch 0.2.0, there is an answer for that in the form of the new The Black Insignia unique helmet!

The Black Insignia pretty much gives other ascendancy classes in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt access to Tailwind. For those who are not familiar with it, Tailwind is a stackable buff that provides a 10% increase in movement speed, 30% increased skill speed, and 150% increased evasion at maximum stacks.

The only difference with regard to gaining the Tailwind buff is that The Black Insignia requires you to land a critical hit to gain one stack instead of just using your skills. That is why the Amazon is the perfect ascendancy class for this helmet because she can easily land critical hits with the aptly named Critical Strike ascendancy node!

The Bringer of Rain

Among the many unique items that were teased in the reveal trailer of Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, GGG opted to showcase The Bringer of Rain. Well, this unique helmet does have something to offer but that, of course, comes with a heavy price.

If you do not know, The Bringer of Rain allows you to wield a couple of two-handed weapons, including swords, axes, and maces. As you can tell, this unique helmet does the same thing as the Giant’s Blood keystone passive without the significant attribute requirements. However, with this much power comes an equally harmful downside in that you cannot wear body armor at all!

Fortunately, GGG has tweaked this unique helmet to now provide up to 800% increased armor and evasion, so the defense that you would have lost without wearing body armor is somehow addressed with this modifier alone.

The question is: are you willing to take the risk? Do you want to bring the pain? Let us know in the comments!

The Deepest Tower

The Deepest Tower was highly speculated to be one of the best unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. That is until GGG introduced the patch notes for the game’s first major update and it was found that your presence radius is reduced from six meters down to just four.

In case you don’t know, The Deepest Tower has a unique effect that treats enemies near you as “being in low life.” This is a powerful thing because it enables you to utilize certain mechanics, such as Execute (which lets you deal 50% more damage with hits) and Stars Aligned (makes your damage with hits against enemies that are on low life Lucky).

Now, if you want to buy The Deepest Tower, make sure to allocate nodes that increase your presence area of effect. Some of these nodes include Enveloping Presence and Profane Commander.

Unique Gloves in Patch 0.2.0

Death Articulated

Rage is a temporary resource in PoE 2 that provides a boost in attack damage based on the current amount that you have. This particular resource incentivizes a more active style of play because if you are not hitting enemies with your skills, it will dwindle and go back down to zero.

Death Articulated prevents the loss of Rage that you have accumulated, which is a good thing. However, what we do not like about these gloves is that they take 5% of your maximum life per second. Most builds cannot address that on their own, but the Smith of Kitava can!

So, if you are planning to use Death Articulated because of its unique effect, you should think about leveling a Smith of Kitava because it is the only ascendancy class in PoE 2 that can wear these gloves without an issue!

Dreadfist

Physical damage builds that can land critical hits frequently may find the Dreadfist to be relatively useful. These gloves allow you to inflict Impale on a critical hit, though you have to follow that up with another attack to extract the Impale stacks to deal physical damage.

Empire's Grasp

Knockback is practically useless for melee builds in Path of Exile 2 because you actually want enemies to come close to you so that you can kill them within arm's length. That is pretty much what this next pair of unique gloves is trying to address.

Empire's Grasp is the only item in PoE 2 that reverses the direction of a knockback. So, instead of a push, the "knockback" pulls the enemy closer to you, allowing you to unleash the finishing blow!

It is also worth noting that these gloves provide a 20% increase in global physical damage, which is quite useful when factoring your overall damage. Why? Because it affects the damage calculation of your weapon as well!

Essentia Sanguis

Essentia Sanguis is another pair of gloves that can be utilized really well by the Amazon ascendancy class in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. That is because these gloves turn life leech into energy shield leech when equipped.

The reason why the Huntress (and subsequently the Amazon) is perfect for these gloves is that she has easy access to evasion and energy shield nodes on the passive tree. Even though life leech passive skills are only found in the lower portion of the tree, you can still get life leech mods from your rings and your weapon.

Keep in mind that life leech is not only applicable to physical damage, so you should use a physical damage skill like Rake or Whirling Slash to gain the effect of Essentia Sanguis.

Leopold's Applause

Elemental Penetration in Path of Exile 2 cannot go down to below 0%. This is a major change from the original game, where you could technically go into the negative values, making enemies suffer from heavy doses of elemental damage!

If you miss that feeling and would like to have that power back, then Leopold's Applause can help! These gloves not only provide 10% elemental penetration, but any elemental penetration values that you have can contribute to reducing the target's elemental resistance to below 0% (up to a maximum of -50%)!

The build that can get the most out of Leopold's Applause is the Galvanic Shards Deadeye. Just populate your jewel sockets with Emerald Jewels that have "Damage Penetrates % Lightning Resistance" and you are good to go!

Nightscale

Increased critical hit chance is a modifier that can naturally roll on weapons and helmets but not on gloves. The Nightscale is different because it can provide you with a 50% increase in critical hit chance if you are lucky with the roll.

On top of that, Nightscale greatly increases your mana regeneration rate if you have dealt a critical hit in the past four seconds. The only problem is that these gloves prevent you from regenerating mana naturally if you haven't crit recently. But, that is something that a Mana Flask cannot fix!

PoE 2 builds that heavily rely on energy shield as their main defensive layer can utilize Nightscale to great effect. At the moment, Nightscale works great for Blood Mages because of their "Sunder the Flesh" ascendancy node, which increases their spells' base critical hit chance from roughly 8% to 15%!

The Prisoner's Manacles

The Prisoner's Manacles provide a good amount of armor, energy shield, and life. These gloves also grant up to 40% lightning resistance and 30 points of life regenerated per second.

What makes the Prisoner's Manacles special is that it boosts the magnitude of slowing effects you inflict on the enemy by as much as 30%. Certain effects like Chill and Temporal Chains are just some examples of slow effects in PoE 2.

Take note that if you equip these gloves, you cannot inflict heavy stun, freeze, electrocute, or pin on enemies. Be that as it may, the boost in slow magnitude is enough to make The Prisoner's Manacles useful.

Valako's Vice

Valako's Vice is a pair of armor/evasion-based gloves that has the unique property of converting all your fire damage to lightning damage. This enables you to utilize certain skills like Siege Cascade and Artillery Ballista and apply Shock due to the fire-to-lightning-damage conversion.

As such, most players equip Valako's Vice on the Tactician or Gemling Legionnaire as these PoE 2 ascendancy classes can improve those skills to a much greater extent compared to others.

Unique Charms in Patch 0.2.0

Arakaali's Gift

New to Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt are Unique Charms. These charms inherit the same properties as their base counterparts but they also come with incredible modifiers that make them more worthwhile to use!

The first one is called Arakaali's Gift. When you are affected by poison, this unique charm activates and recovers your life and mana equal to (15-20)% of your Life and Mana Flasks' total recovery amount.

That is why if you are going to equip Arakaali's Charm, you must also use flasks that have the "Increased Amount Recovered" modifier to get the most out of it!

Beira's Anguish

To be able to Ignite enemies consistently in Path of Exile 2, you must deal considerable amounts of fire damage. If your build is not too powerful yet, you could utilize this next unique charm called Beira's Anguish.

This thing basically ignites enemies within four meters of you so long as you are ignited by their attacks first. Currently, Essence Drain Lich builds in PoE 2 use Beira's Anguish to further improve their total damage output.

Breath of the Mountains

Certain Ranger and Monk builds in PoE 2 generate Power Charges by turning on Combat Frenzy and allocating the Resonance keystone passive. However, that is still far off considering that you need to have enough passive skill points to reach Resonance on the passive tree.

Breath of the Mountains helps you get Power Charges as early as level 5. This particular unique charm grants a Power Charge every time you take cold damage from a recent attack or spell.

Keep in mind that Breath of the Mountains only has a maximum of 80 charges, so you can only gain two Power Charges at a time before you need to gain some charges back again.

For Utopia

If you read the description of "For Utopia," you may find this unique charm very confusing. But don't worry, we are here to make it easier for you to understand!

So, the way For Utopia works is that it gives you 100% extra armor to mitigate incoming physical damage (essentially doubling what you have). Although this allows you to "Defend with 200% of armor during effect," 100% of that is actually your base armor value and the other 100% is tacked on to improve your physical damage reduction.

For example, if you have 1,000 armor right now and you get stunned by the enemy, For Utopia will increase your armor to 2,000. We hope that this explanation has helped you understand For Utopia and other similar effects in Path of Exile 2!

Forsaken Bangle

Forsaken Bangle may just be the one you need if you are struggling against chaos damage! This unique charm activates when you receive chaos damage from an attack or a spell. Forsaken Bangle will then take half of that chaos damage and convert that as life and mana recoup for several seconds (instead of the usual eight seconds for regular recoup effects). This unique charm really comes in handy in Act 3 and beyond when monsters that deal chaos damage become more rampant!

Nascent Hope

Nascent Hope is another unique charm that can improve your survivability in PoE 2. This thing immediately makes your energy shield recharge begin after you have been frozen. It may not be much, though anything that aids in your survival is welcome in a game that penalizes you for being immobilized.

Ngamahu's Chosen

Monsters that deal fire damage are prevalent in Path of Exile 2, which is why this next unique charm may come in handy as soon as you begin your journey in Wraeclast!

Ngamahu's Chosen is activated as soon as you receive fire damage from a hit. It will then provide you with 30 Rage by default, though you can increase this number if you allocate "+ to Maximum Rage" modifiers on the passive tree.

Rite of Passage

We think that the Rite of Passage is one of the best unique items in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, mainly because it gives you the buffs of one of the Azmeri Spirits when it's activated.

There are about 11 Azmeri Spirits right now and all of them provide unique buffs to those they possess. For instance, if you are possessed by the Wisp of the Cunning Fox, you will gain 20% increased movement speed, 30% increased damage, 20% increased attack/cast speed, 60% increased toughness, and 200% increased item rarity for 10-20 seconds. That should be more than enough time for you to decimate any monster that you encounter!

The Rite of Passage is the ideal unique charm to wear for endgame farming because it only activates after killing a rare or unique monster. This thing cannot be obtained by using the Orb of Chance. Rather, it is only acquired as a random drop from eliminating monsters possessed by one of the Azmeri Spirits.

Sanguis Heroum

Sanguis Heroum can help you survive in Act 2 and beyond until you can equip the best gear in Path of Exile 2. That is because this unique charm creates Consecrated Ground once you start suffering from bleeding.

For the uninitiated, Consecrated Ground in PoE 2 is a beneficial ground effect that boosts your life regeneration and reduces the effect of curses on you for several seconds. You do have to be stationary, though, because the ground effect does not move when you do.

The Black Cat

Shock is a nasty elemental ailment if you are the one suffering from it. Why? Shock increases the amount of damage you receive from subsequent attacks or spells in PoE 2.

That said, The Black Cat is useful in the sense that it makes lightning damage done to you to be considered "unlucky" when this unique charm is activated. This just means that between two damage rolls, the lowest is only chosen as the final result.

For example, if the game rolls the incoming lightning damage twice and those numbers are 256 and 384, the former will be taken into account since it is the lowest of the two. That is the concept of unlucky in Path of Exile 2.

The Fall of the Axe

Thrillsteel is one of those unique items that can grant Onslaught in Path of Exile 2. Onslaught is a powerful buff that enhances your skill speed and movement speed by 20% and 10%, respectively. If you want to gain the Onslaught buff in another way, then you should wear The Fall of the Axe unique charm.

The Fall of the Axe grants Onslaught every time you are affected by a slow effect, such as from Chill and Temporal Chains. The only thing we would have liked is for the duration of this unique charm to be extended because three seconds is just too short to be worthwhile.

Valako's Roar

Frenzy Charges in PoE 2 can be obtained in a number of ways. You can either activate Combat Frenzy and inflict Freeze, Electrocute, or Pin on the enemy. Besides that, you can wear Valako's Roar as it also grants a Frenzy Charge every time you get hit with lightning damage. Just be mindful of its charm charges because if you find that you are not gaining any Frenzy Charge, your Valako's Roar may have just run out of charges for it to take effect.

Unique Rings in Patch 0.2.0

Bursting Decay

Bursting Decay is not something that we can easily recommend unless you are playing the Smith of Kitava ascendancy class in PoE 2. The reason why the Smith of Kitava is great for this unique ring is that it has Leather Bindings, which is an ascendancy node that grants 5% life regeneration on equipped body armor, effectively negating the downside of Bursting Decay.

On a positive note, Bursting Decay provides added physical damage equal to 3% of your maximum life. So, if you have 3,000 life, wearing this ring grants an additional 90 added physical damage. It might not seem much on the surface but it certainly factors in with your other physical damage mods.

Evergrasping Ring

If you are playing a PoE 2 minion build and you want to gain extra chaos damage from Unholy Might but you do not want to choose the Lich ascendancy class, there is an alternative to that. The Evergrasping Ring grants allies in your presence up to 25% of damage as extra chaos damage. The only problem is that your enemies gain up to 12% of extra chaos damage as well. We don’t understand why there is a need for a compromise but at least you get some of the benefits of a watered-down Unholy Might without actually choosing the Lich!

Gifts from Above

This next unique ring may be useful to you for farming PoE 2 Divine Orbs and whatnot. Gifts from Above provides a (20-30)% boost in item rarity if you kill an enemy with a critical hit. This ring also has an added benefit of creating Consecrated Ground, that is if you are willing to stay in place for a couple of seconds.

Icefang Orbit

The Icefang Orbit is an interesting unique ring because it allows you to slow enemies down via an increasing Chill Magnitude every time you hit them with a poison-based skill. The only problem is that the Icefang Orbit also slows you down at an increasing rate each time you are hit with attacks while you are suffering from poison.

If you are playing the Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder or any other poison damage build in PoE 2, then you could utilize the Icefang Orbit starting at level 36 and see how it works for you.

Prized Pain

Utilizing the “Thorns” mechanic in Path of Exile 2 feels quite clunky because you have to rely on the enemy’s attacks to eliminate them via retaliation. However, Prized Pain takes any thorns damage that you have and actively inflicts that on enemies that you stun with your melee attacks.

If you want to try Prized Pain, you have to improve thorns damage by taking the appropriate nodes on the passive tree, as well as invest in items that provide physical thorns damage mods. This modifier can roll on body armor, shield, and belt.

Venopuncture

Venopuncture is quite similar to the previously mentioned Icefang Orbit, albeit specifically for bleeding damage. It also causes enemies to be chilled at an increasing intensity if you inflict bleeding and continue on with subsequent hits against them.

Vigilant View

Vigilant View might seem interesting on the surface but it is only great early on since its modifiers are not enough for the endgame. Basically, what this ring does is it greatly penalizes enemies when they try to hit you with projectile attacks from a long distance. In other words, they are less likely to hit you if you are at least six meters away or so.

However, just like with most good things in Path of Exile 2, you should expect this ring to have a downside as well. True enough, Vigilant View caps your maximum chance to evade to just 50% (instead of 90%+). That is fine at level 26, though it’s certainly less desirable when you reach level 60 onwards.

Unique Belts in Patch 0.2.0

Bijouborne

Bijouborne could be an awesome unique belt if you are able to snag one up with the lowest reduced charm effect duration possible (at 10% if you're curious). This thing grants a meta-skill that enables you to put any skill you want to have activated when your equipped charms are in effect.

Aside from that, Bijouborne provides you with two additional charm slots, thus allowing you to equip a couple more of those incredible unique charms like Rite of Passage and The Fall of the Axe.

Goregirdle

Goregirdle is probably something you will just use while leveling due to its downside, which can be detrimental later on. Essentially, what Goregirdle does is it doubles your armor value (similar to For Utopia) every time there is a need to mitigate physical damage. However, this comes at the price of having only a maximum physical damage reduction of 50%. So, in the endgame, you might want to replace Goregirdle with something else.

The Gnashing Sash

Are you the type of PoE 2 player who uses a Life Flask two or three times in a row, which often results in wasted flask charges because you are already at full health? If so, you should consider wearing The Gnashing Sash!

Although it is sort of a tongue twister to mention this unique item, The Gnashing Sash allows life recovery from your Life Flask to overflow your maximum life, essentially doubling that amount! So, if you have 1,500 HP, you could reach 3,000 HP if you tapped on your Life Flask several times in succession.

The only thing that you have to watch out for is that The Gnashing Sash makes you lose 5% of your maximum life per second. So, you may want to include life regeneration mods either on the passive tree or on your gloves and rings as well. This is to somehow mitigate the negative effects of wearing this unique ring.

Waistgate

Having only one Life Flask and Mana Flask at the same time can be quite limiting, especially if you do not have a need for one of them when deciding to build your PoE 2 character a certain way. For instance, if you allocate Chaos Inoculation, you will have no need for a Life Flask unless you take Eternal Youth as well.

Waistgate kind of solves that predicament by allowing you to equip two Life Flasks or Mana Flasks depending on your needs. Besides that, Waistgate increases your flask's recovery rate by up to 30%, so you recover HP or mana considerably faster than without this belt.

Unique Foci in Patch 0.2.0

Apep's Supremacy

The first unique caster focus we are going to talk about is perfect for those who have taken the Chaos Inoculation keystone passive. Apep's Supremacy converts 20% of the chaos damage you have received recently to chaos damage. Since you are virtually immune to chaos damage due to CI, you effectively reduce the elemental damage you take when wearing Apep's Supremacy!

On top of that, this unique caster focus provides a few improvements to your energy shield, such as increased energy shield, faster start of ES recharge, and energy shield recharge rate. Because of how good Apep's Supremacy is, you can certainly use it even in the endgame!

Effigy of Cruelty

In Path of Exile 2, you normally only go for the crit version of your current build at level 50 onwards. However, the Effigy of Cruelty allows you to transition much earlier than that because of its unique effect.

Basically, the Effigy of Cruelty applies up to five stacks of Critical Weakness every time you land critical hits with your spells. Even though you are not a spellcasting build, you could still utilize this unique caster focus on weapon swap only to apply the Critical Weakness debuff on enemies.

That said, some spells you can cast for the purpose of applying Critical Weakness include Ball Lightning and Frostbolt with Deceleration Support socketed in.

Rathpith Globe

If you want to gain considerable amounts of damage and critical hit chance, then you should equip the Rathpith Globe!

The Rathpith Globe provides a 5% increased critical hit chance and 10% increased damage for every 100 HP that you have. Assuming that you have 2,000 HP, your non-channeling spells (aka instant spells) will get a 100% boost in crit chance and a 200% increase in damage just by equipping this unique item!

It is important to note that the Rathpith Globe imposes a 6% additional life cost based on your maximum HP each time you cast your non-channeling spells. That is why the Blood Mage ascendancy class in PoE 2 can take full advantage of this thing because she can easily address its downside without any extras!

Unique Quivers in Patch 0.2.0

Rearguard

You probably have never seen a quiver in Path of Exile 2 that can provide an increased chance to block attacks until now. Typically, the increased block chance mod is found on shields and certain jewels. It can also be found on some nodes on the passive tree.

However, the Rearguard is different because it is the only quiver in the game that can increase your block chance by up to 25%. Besides that, you get other awesome things, including added physical damage to attacks, +(150-200) armor, and (20-30)% increased projectile speed.

What’s cool about the Rearguard is that you can improve its effectiveness by allocating nodes that enhance the bonuses found on quivers. Although you are less likely to raise your armor value high enough for this unique quiver to work wonders, it is still an interesting one because of the modifier that you’ll normally find on shields and jewels.

The Lethal Draw

The Lethal Draw has the potential to be one of the best unique items in PoE 2 Patch 0.2.0 if it isn’t for its rather inconsistent effect. So, what does this unique quiver bring to the table?

Well, The Lethal Draw takes 10% of your Life Flask’s maximum charges to provide you with added physical damage based on 5% of the life recovery amount. So, if your Life Flask has a total recovery amount of 1972, you will get 98.6 added physical damage with every arrow you fire from your bow.

Now, the reason why this is inconsistent is that the damage boost can only be felt in the first 10 hits. After that, you’d have to gain enough flask charges to be able to enjoy the damage increase again. This is not considering the fact that you will not have enough flask charges to recover your actual HP, leaving you with no choice but to rely on your inherent life regeneration or life leech for survivability.

Unique Amulets in Patch 0.2.0

Stone of Lazhwar

Caster Foci in Path of Exile 2 normally cannot roll block chance modifiers even if you spam PoE 2 Exalted Orbs. However, if you have the Stone of Lazhwar equipped, you will get up to a 25% chance to block attacks while holding a caster focus in your off-hand!

The Stone of Lazhwar also provides a boost to your maximum mana (+50-100) and an increase in your cast speed (15-25)%. Although it only offers a few modifiers, you should know that the Stone of Lazhwar is a unique amulet that you can wear as early as level 8, making it an incredible leveling unique item in PoE 2!

Yoke of Suffering

The Yoke of Suffering is ideal for elemental damage builds in Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. This thing boosts your damage for each type of elemental ailment you have inflicted on the enemy by up to 40% (provided that you get the best roll).

If you are not aware, there are four different elemental ailments in PoE 2. They are Chill, Freeze, Shock, and Ignite. To be able to inflict them, you have to deal damage that corresponds to a certain element. That means that if you want to inflict Chill or Freeze on the enemy, you have to deal cold damage to them until you go beyond their elemental ailment thresholds.

For a unique amulet that you can wear at level 18, the Yoke of Suffering could help you complete the campaign in a relatively short amount of time!

Unique Tablets in Patch 0.2.0

Cruel Hegemony

Aside from unique charms, GGG has introduced unique tablets to the game as well. The first one we are going to talk about is Cruel Hegemony, which is a unique overseer tablet that adds one additional modifier to the map boss.

Being an Overseer Tablet, it could influence up to four maps within the vicinity of a Tower. Now, the reason why this is relatively good is that adding a modifier to a boss makes it harder, and thus becomes more rewarding.

Forgotten by Time

Expedition Encounters in your maps could spawn powerful runic monsters that could potentially kill you if you are not prepared. Fortunately, this next unique tablet can help you eliminate them more quickly.

Forgotten by Time is a unique Expedition Precursor Tablet that makes monsters spawn with their HP already cut in half. This makes it so that you can kill them without breaking a sweat!

Additionally, the Runic Monsters or the tougher enemies are duplicated. This gives you a higher chance to gain more Expedition Currency, which is useful if you want to take advantage of the Recombinator in your hideout more often.

Freedom of Faith

Freedom of Faith was actually nerfed following an exploit that lasted for eight hours. This unique Ritual Precursor Tablet used to let you reroll favors infinitely back then, so you can just imagine how easy it was to fish for highly valuable items like Divine Orbs, Exalted Orbs, and Omens, among others.

Now, after GGG has resolved the issue, Freedom of Faith only allows you to reroll favors twice. Furthermore, the favors you see on the Ritual Altar’s interface cost up to 15% increased tribute.

If you are not familiar with this mechanic in PoE 2, the word “Favor” refers to the items on the Ritual Altar UI that you can purchase using “Tribute.”

Season of the Hunt

Not to be confused with the title of this league, Season of the Hunt is another unique Overseer Precursor Tablet. However, instead of adding one more modifier to the map boss, this one empowers the map boss by bestowing them the powers of the Azmeri Spirits!

Map bosses that are boosted by Season of the Hunt are not to be trifled with because they could potentially be empowered by several Azmeri Spirits, granting them a plethora of modifiers! If you are still adamant about trying this unique tablet out, make sure that you are well-prepared. Otherwise, the map boss can obliterate you in seconds!

The Grand Project

If you have watched the reveal trailer for Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, you may have already seen The Grand Project in action. When you put this unique Precursor Tablet into a tower, you can essentially access any map within range. This allows you to traverse to certain areas that do not have a line connecting to them.

Wraeclast Besieged

Breaches open up and monsters from the other dimension gradually come to the map for you to kill. However, if you are playing a slow PoE 2 build, you might not be able to clear every Breach Monster since you are only given a limited time. If you are more of a slow and methodical player in Path of Exile 2, maybe this last unique tablet can help you.

Wraeclast Besieged is a unique Breach Precursor Tablet that makes Breaches remain open until you finish every last one of those otherworldly monsters. Sure, Wraeclast Besieged does reduce the overall monster density of the Breaches by up to 20%, but that is a fair compromise given that you have all the time in the world to eliminate them.
