OSRS Shipbuilding is going to launch pretty soon. If you want to make sure that you're able to build the best ship in the game, we've come to help you out.
The Sailing skill in OSRS is set to launch on Nov. 19 and it's the first time in over a decade that the game is getting a new skill. As expected, it's going to massively revamp a lot of things in the game. For this guide, we're going to help you build the best ship possible as it's at the soul of the new Sailing Skill.

Player-Owned Ship OSRS
The player-owned ship is your main mode of transport in OSRS Sailing feature. You'll be using a ship to travel between docking points. It can also be used to interact with activities at sea which include the Barracuda trials, port tasks, and sea charting.
The ship can only be at a single port at a time. You can board your ship using a gangplank which you can find at the port where the ship is located at.
Once you unlock Sailing level 1, you can only own one ship at a time. At level 15, you can expand it to two ships at a time. At level 50, you can have three, four at level 78, and five at level 91. The main purpose of having multiple ships is so that you can use different ones for different occasions.
For example, you can customize a ship to be better fit for battle, while you can also have a ship that's a better fit for traveling the seas. You can customize ships with facilities.
Your ship will have a health of its own. You can use repair kits to heal it but if it's health drops to 0, it will capsize and you'll be brought back the last port you landed on. Shipwrights can retrieve your boats for you for a fee.
Types of Ships
As of now, there are three types of ships in the game. The Raft, which is available at Sailing 1, Skiff at Sailing 15, and Sloop at Sailing 50. Each ship can be upgraded differently. Here's how each type of ship differs.
Raft
The weakest of the three ships and it only has a measly health of 60. However, it's only 1,000 gold so it's not too shabby. Rafts have only one facility spot which is definitely bad. Here are the upgrades for the raft.

Skiff
The skiff will be available to you at level 15 Sailing. It costs 10,000 gold but it has more upgrades, as well as a base health of 120. Skiffs can have 7 facilities onboard.Here are the upgrades you can get for it:

Sloop
The Sloop is the highest level of ship that you can get, at least for now. It's available once you hit level 50 Sailing. We don't know how much it costs and how much health it has. What we do know is that it will have 9 slots for facilities.

Facilities
Facilities are basically special structures that you can add to your ship. Cannons are used for fighting, hooks are used for salvaging, and so on. These are very important parts of the ship and are actually what's going to help you customize your ship to suit your needs.
