Uber Tristram is still one of the pinnacle encounters in Diablo II: Resurrected, and should be included among your endgame activities, especially if you want to fight the new Colossal Ancients in Season 13.

That said, why do you need to do Uber Tristram? Well, you will learn the answer to that and more by reading through this entire article.

What is ‘Pandemonium Tristram’ in D2R Season 13?

For those who’ve just picked up Diablo II: Resurrected because of the new Warlock Class, let me fill you in on the details. The Pandemonium Event refers to visiting a different version of Tristram, where you can find the “Uber” versions of the three Prime Evils: Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal. This is also the reason why the place is referred to as “Uber Tristram” because it’s basically the place to fight the most challenging bosses in the game.

Now, why would you subject yourself to this much torture? I mean, you’re essentially fighting three Prime Evils in one relatively confined area, which means that it’s not for the faint of heart. Well, there is a reason why you should try the Pandemonium Event, and that is to get the Hellfire Torch.

The Hellfire Torch has gained more popularity again in Diablo II: Resurrected. This is largely because of the new Warlock Class, which you can gain access to by purchasing the aptly named “Reign of the Warlock” DLC. Plus, Season 13 is still ongoing, so there’s that.

Phase 1: Uber Key Farming

The Pandemonium Event in D2R Season 13 has three phases. The first one involves killing some “superunique” monsters in Hell Difficulty, namely The Countess, The Summoner, and Nihlathak. You can find out more about them in our dedicated D2R Uber Key Farming guide.

Fighting them is a necessary step because they’re going to drop keys that will lead you to the “mini-ubers” in Diablo II: Resurrected. You need about nine keys in total (three from each boss) in order to create enough portals in Act 5.

Phase 2: The Mini-Ubers

The so-called “mini-ubers” comprise most of the other Act Bosses in the game, with the exception of one. These bosses are Lilith, Uber Duriel, and Uber Izual. 

To get to these bosses, you have to put a Key of Hate, Key of Terror, and Key of Destruction inside the Horadric Cube and transmute them. After doing so, a random portal will appear. The reason why you need nine keys in total is that there are three areas that you need to visit to battle these “mini-ubers.”

Speaking of which, let’s closely examine them one by one.

Lilith

Location: Matron’s Den

Drops: Diablo’s Horn

The keys that you can get from the previous enemies will lead you to one of three areas. Lilith is the main boss of the Matron’s Den. She is basically a dark-skinned version of Andariel, the boss of Act 1 in Diablo II: Resurrected.

She inherits Andariel’s abilities, though she deals way more damage than the first Act boss of the game. That said, you want to increase your physical damage reduction and poison resistance because Lilith is not here to play; she’s here to destroy anyone foolish enough to challenge her.

Antidote Potions definitely come in handy in this fight. If you are playing a physical damage build, make sure to have some source of Life Tap, such as Dracul’s Grasp or a Wand of Life Tap, to ensure maximum sustain.

Anyway, here are Lilith’s stats:

It goes without saying that you should not play any poison-based build to fight Lilith, unless you have the Rotting Fissure sunder charm in your inventory.

Uber Duriel

Location: Forgotten Sands

Drops: Baal’s Eye

A souped-up version of the second act boss in Diablo II: Resurrected, Uber Duriel is not to be trifled with. Although he deals slightly lower damage compared to Lilith, he’s still quite annoying because of his Holy Freeze Aura. Not only that, but Uber Duriel seems like he chugs Health Potions too, with the way his life regeneration works.

To combat Uber Duriel, you need to be hitting more than he’s regenerating. This is why the Uber Smiter and the Mirrored Blades Warlock work wonders for this fight, though a Frenzy Barb does come in at third place.

It is not recommended to use any cold-based builds like the Blizzard Sorceress or the Freezing Arrow Bowazon for this fight.

To defeat the enemy, you must know more about the enemy. Here’s a rundown of Uber Duriel’s stats:

Uber Izual

Location: Furnace of Pain

Another cold-based mini-uber boss in D2R Season 13, Uber Izual is a pain to deal with. This is true whether you are playing a melee build or a spellcaster, and it’s due to his Frost Nova and Chilling Armor. Yes, these are the same spells available to a cold-based Sorc build in Diablo II: Resurrected, so you now have an idea why he’s a chore to defeat.

If you are playing a spellcaster or a ranged build, it’s best that you have a mobility skill at the ready for whenever he teleports to your location. Melee builds should wear the Raven Frost or any item that can make you immune to being frozen.

Phase 3: Pandemonium Tristram—The Three Brothers

Once you have all three organs, place them inside the Horadric Cube and transmute. This will create a portal to Uber Tristram, where all the Uber versions of the three Prime Evils reside. Let’s take a closer look at what you’re getting into:

Uber Mephisto

Among the three brothers, Uber Mephisto is the most feared. Why? This prime evil has a level 20 Conviction Aura, which virtually puts your resistances down to negative. You’ll need roughly 300% resistance if you want to completely negate the effects of Mephisto’s Conviction Aura, and it is quite a tall order to achieve.

That is why the most appropriate thing you should do is separate Uber Mephisto from his brothers. To do that, head to the upper-left corner of the map and slowly move closer towards the center. Don’t come too close, or you risk luring Diablo out as well. Simply move closer, wait a bit, and then Uber Mephisto should follow you.

Once that is done, lure him out of the center and into the open. When he’s separated, you can mow him down using your most powerful abilities. Take note that he also summons some skeletal mages, which is why you might have to get out of harm’s way for a bit until you can recuperate.

Pandemonium Diablo

This next uber boss in Diablo II: Resurrected is officially named “Pandemonium Diablo” because “Uber Diablo” is a different one that is summoned by selling multiple Stone of Jordan rings to a vendor. So, for the sake of continuity, I am now going to refer to this uber boss as Pandemonium Diablo.

Having said that, Pandemonium Diablo is quite fast, is resistant to magic damage, and is immune to fire and cold damage. One of his most annoying features, though, is his ability to summon Pit Lords, which are immune to almost anything except for physical damage.

If you cannot defeat Pandemonium Diablo with Uber Baal, you must separate him using the same method as Uber Mephisto. After that’s done, use your primary ability until he is dead.

The Pit Lords can be problematic, particularly if your fire defense is below 75%. Thus, retreat for a short while, and then head back to battle once you are fully healed.

Uber Baal

Uber Baal is considered the second most powerful of the Prime Evils (next to Uber Mephisto). His Chilling Armor can slow down even the fiercest fighter, whether you are in melee range or from a distance.

It is also worth noting that any effects that have a “Chance to Cast on Striking, especially those that deal damage, can be dangerous as they will backfire on you. Not only that, but Uber Baal’s ability to create a copy of himself makes things even more challenging.

To somehow make this a relatively fair fight, equip items that have some “Cold Absorb” on them, such as Raven Frost, Snowclash, and Nightwing’s Veil. Once you are strong enough, you can take on both Pandemonium Diablo and Uber Baal, provided that you have the best gear in Diablo II: Resurrected for your build.

Best Builds for Pandemonium Tristram in D2R Season 13

• Smite Paladin: There is a reason why people call this build an “Uber Smiter” because he has the ability to Smite the Prime Evils with tremendous damage and thunderous force. Equip the Dracul’s Grasp gloves, a Grief Phase Blade, and Herald of Zakarum, and you should be good to go.
• Mirrored Blades Warlock: That’s right! The Warlock happens to have a build that can take on the three Prime Evils with relative ease. Make sure to equip a Grief Sword, Fortitude Mage Plate, and Phoenix Monarch Shield to have a fighting chance.
• Frenzy Barbarian: Physical damage builds are the best to use when fighting the Uber Bosses in D2R Season 13, and the Frenzy Barbarian happens to pass that with flying colors! Equip him with a couple of Grief Phase Blades, an Arreat’s Face, and Laying of Hands, and the Frenzy Barb should have enough power to defeat the forces of evil.

Can the Pandemonium Event Be Done in Nightmare Difficulty?

No. You have to be in Hell Difficulty to farm the keys. Uber Tristram is also only accessible at the game’s highest difficulty level.

What is the Best Build to Use Against the Uber Bosses?

The Smiter Paladin. This is the most reliable build against the Uber Bosses because it deals huge amounts of physical damage. Plus, the build itself has insane defenses, making Uber Mephisto, Pandemonium Diablo, and Uber Baal a lot more bearable to deal with.

Which Hellfire Torch is the Most Profitable in D2R Season 13?

If you are farming Hellfire Torches in D2R Season 13 mainly for profit, I highly recommend that you farm torches for the following classes:

• Sorceress
• Paladin

The other Hellfire Torches are sold at average prices and are mostly not worth your time and effort.
