Diablo 4 Duriel Guide -How to get Uber Uniques
With the launch of Diablo 4 Season 2, Blizzard has introduced a wealth of new bosses in the game. Out of them all, the most challenging and most rewarding is Uber Echo of Duriel. Fighting Duriel is going to take a lot of time and patience but it's also worth it considering what you're getting in return.
Of all the rewards, however, what you should be interested in are the Uber Uniques that Duriel drops. These are powerful enough to make your current build overpowered and make future challenges in Season 2 feel smoother. Before we talk about the good loot, let's gloss over how you can defeat Duriel first.
How to Fight Echo of Duriel
The fight with Duriel is the toughest in the game by far. But to fight him, you'll first need to get:
- Mucus-Slick Eggs - To get this item, you'll need to kill Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4. You'll have to fight Varshan a few times before you can get enough of the eggs to summon Duriel though. Luckily, the fight is rewarding so the grind can be worth it.
- Shards of Agony - Like the Mucus-Slick Eggs, you'll need to farm a specific boss to get this. In this case, you'll have to fight Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint multiple times as well. The fight is also rewarding so take this time to get what you need to prepare for Duriel.
Since you'll be fighting Duriel multiple times, make sure to farm as many of these as you can. You'll need two of each for every time you want to fight Duriel. Once you have it, bring them to the Crevasse Dungeon to summon Duriel.
The fight with Duriel itself is hard but it can be made a bit easier if you can maximize your poison resistance to 70% with potions and gear. As for the fight itself, make sure to stay out of Duriel's frontside as he can deal the most damage there. Make sure to kill anything he summons immediately as they can limit your movement and deal poison damage too.

Uber Duriel Uber Unique Farming Tips
Although the drops for Uber Uniques are better as compared to before, it can still be a chore to get them. If you're planning on farming Duriel, here are some tips to keep in mind.
- Farm In A Group
Battling Duriel in a group isn't only easier, it's also more practical. Only one player needs to open a gate to fight Duriel. For instance, if you're in a party of 4 and all of you have a pair of Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony each, you can fight Duriel a total of 4 times.
Fighting in a group lessens the time you need to spend farming for the right materials to summon him.
- Where To Farm Shards of Agony
To get Shards of Agony, you'll need to kill Grigoire. However, to fight Grigoire, you'll need 5 Living Steel first. The best place to find this is in Helltides. While in there, make sure to open all Chests of Living Steel.
- Where To Farm Mucus-Slick Eggs
Farming for Mucus-Slick Eggs is more complicated. They can be acquired from Varshan but to fight Varshan, you'll need:
- 1 Blackened Femur
- 1 Trembling Hand
- 1 Gurgling Head
- 1 Malignant Heart
The best way to get these items is by getting them from Whisper Caches. Opening one will net you one or more of the items above. Alternatively, you can also fight Grotesque Debtors that appear where you do Whisper Events. That said, the best way to farm is by doing Blood Harvest Season Events.
Time To Farm Those Uber Uniques
Uber Uniques are the Holy Grail of items in Diablo 4. Getting to Duriel alone is a lot of work already which is why we suggest going in groups instead. Hopefully, you're able to net one or more of these Uber Uniques before the season ends.
