Diablo 4 Flurry Rogue Endgame Build Guide

6363 0

Diablo 4's Rogue class can deal insane amounts of damage from afar. Staying at a safe distance is a good idea too considering how vulnerable Rogues can be up close. If you're sick of the long-range playstyle when playing as a Rogue, then this Diablo 4 endgame build is going to be right up your alley.

This build focuses on high-risk, high-reward gameplay, with you dealing heavy damage using Flurry. With the right gear and Skill setup, you have a lot less to worry about even if you're fighting in close-quarters combat as a Rogue. Once you master this build's gameplay, you might just have the highest damaging build for a Rogue yet.

The Unending Flurry

This Diablo 4 Rogue endgame build requires two things - constant movement for repositioning and a good attack speed. The downside is that you're always going to be within hitting range of the enemy but you'll find that there are plenty of ways you can survive the hordes in the game.

To begin with this build, you should first get the right Caged Hearts. These are going to be vital assets for any Season 1 build. In this case, the Caged Hearts can greatly help with your survivability when using this build.

Caged Hearts

Grinding for Caged Hearts is just the first step in making this build. Your efforts are going to be rewarded though as these Caged Hearts make up the core of this build and make it less risky.

  1. Caged Heart of Tempting Fate

Effect: You gain [45 - 65]%[+] Critical Strike Damage but your Non-Critical Strikes deal [20 - 25]%[x] less damage.

This Caged Heart might seem like a double-edged sword at first. However, this build relies heavily on improving your attack speed, Critical Strike Damage, and Critical Strike Chance. Although your non-Critical Strikes are going to take a hit, you'll get more damage with the Critical Strike Damage bonus you're getting.

  1. Caged Heart of the Barber

Effect: Critical Strikes and all subsequent damage within [2.0 - 4.0] seconds is absorbed by your target. Then, the absorbed damage erupts onto surrounding enemies. Stored damage is increased by 11%[x] per second.

Caged Heart of the Barber makes it easier for you to kill off huge hordes of enemies when you're overwhelmed. With the Rogue being as squishy as they are, it's one of the last things that you want happening to you even if you have the right gear and Skill allocations.

  1. Caged Heart of the Prudent Heart

Effect: You become Immune for [2.0 - 4.0] seconds after you lose more than 20% Life in a single hit. This effect can only occur once every 100 seconds.

There are going to be some hard-hitting Elites and bosses in the endgame of Diablo 4. Caged Heart of the Prudent Heart is an excellent way to ensure that you can still run away and recuperate when hit by a massive shot. The 4 seconds of immunity given by Prudent Heart is more than enough time to heal or run away.

Specialization

This build will require you to spam Flurry endlessly. As such, having Combo Points as your Specialization is a must. Here are the bonuses you can get with Combo Points.

That said, your main goal with this build is to rack up Combo Points using your Basic Skill. Once you have 3 Combo Points, you unleash Flurry. Given that you're going to have a high attack speed, you can reach 3 Combo Points relatively quickly.

Skill Allocation

  1. Puncture - 3 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Puncture, Fundamental Puncture

With its great attack speed, Puncture becomes the perfect Basic Skill for this build. It will be a lot easier to start generating Combo Points with Puncture. It's a huge plus that the ability can inflict Slow and Vulnerable too, so you're able to control crowds easier. Damage-wise, it doesn't do much compared to other Basic Skills but its utility is unmatched.

  1. Flurry - 7 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Flurry, Improved Flurry

The main star of this show is Flurry. It deals with 4 quick strikes, in a cone area in front of you. It's great for taking out mobs and it's even better for activating Lucy Hit mechanics and your Critical Strike.

This skill becomes significantly better once you have the Aspect of Encircling Blades as it makes the attack hit all around you, instead of just in a cone shape. We're getting the Improved Flurry upgrade as it makes nearly every enemy around you Vulnerable, so you can deal with them easier.

  1. Sturdy - 3 Skill Points

You're going to need to get all of the damage reduction you can get with this build. With your close range, it's a must that you get Sturdy so that you can greatly reduce the damage you take when being on the offensive.

  1. Shadow Step - 3 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Shadow Step, Disciplined Shadow Step

Rogues are really innately squishy when it comes to any build. Shadow Step is a good active ability that gives you the mobility you need to stay out of harm's way when needed. Reserve this skill for really dangerous scenarios as it's your only way out of them.

  1. Weapon Mastery - 3 Skill Points

You're going to want to use a dagger for this build for its quick attack speed and good damage. Weapon Mastery increases your dagger damage by up to 15% which is a big boost, especially when you factor in the other damage bonuses from your equipment and passives.

  1. Exploit - 3 Skill Points

Exploit is going to be an essential passive as it covers your damage, regardless of the health of the enemy. The increased damage potential, along with your other bonuses is going to help you deplete the lives of Elites and bosses much quicker.

  1. Malice - 3 Skill Points

Puncture is going to be a great way to make enemies around you Vulnerable. The same goes for Flurry. That said, the damage bonus to Vulnerable enemies with the Malice passive is going to give you a huge boost to your overall DPS.

  1. Shadow Imbuement - 3 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Shadow Imbuement, Mixed Shadow Imbuement

You're going to be using all three Imbuement abilities for this build and each of them will have its own purpose. Shadow Imbuement is best used for clearing out large but weak mobs. The Shadow damage that can spread among mobs is a good way to start thinning them out before they do significant damage.

  1. Poison Imbuement - 7 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Poison Imbuement, Blended Poison Imbuement

For single-target situations like Bosses or Elites, you're going to want to use Poison Imbuement. The damage over time you get with Poison is a good way to whittle away at the health of tanky enemies. Even when you've stepped back to recover, Poison can still continue damaging your enemy for you.

  1. Cold Imbuement - 3 Skill Points

Upgrades: Enhanced Cold Imbuement, Mixed Cold Imbuement

Cold Imbuement is going to be your last active ability for this build. It's the best Skill to use when it comes to crowd-controlling enemies so you can make a quick escape when needed. With enough hits, you can Freeze enemies too. Imbuing Flurry with Cold damage is guaranteed to Freeze every enemy it hits.

  1. Shadow Crash - 1 Skill Point

This is a good upgrade to Shadow Imbuement as it gives you Stunning capabilities to your enemies. We only need one level of it. Since it triggers with a Lucky Hit mechanic, you can activate the Stun regularly because of your attack speed with Flurry.

  1. Consuming Shadows - 1 Skill Point

Aside from Puncture, you can make Flurry an excellent source of Energy regeneration with the help of Shadow Imbuement and Consuming Shadows.

  1. Precision Imbuement - 3 Skill Points

Precision Imbuement adds even more Critical Strike Chance to what you already have. Since you're going to use your Imbuement skills regularly, that's a guaranteed 9% added to your Critical Strike Chance already.

  1. Deadly Venom - 1 Skill Point

Only needed to gain access to the next passive but extra Poison damage is good as well. If you think you have enough means to regenerate your Energy, you can take off your point with Consuming Shadows, and place it here instead.

  1. Debilitating Toxins - 3 Skill Points

This is another way to mitigate the damage you take from enemies. Debilitating Toxins help reduce the damage you get from enemies when they are Poisoned. Your combination of Skills and Aspects makes Poisoning enemies relatively easy.

  1. Frigid Finesse - 3 Skill Points

Frigid Finesse grants you bonus damage against Chilled and Frozen enemies. If you think you don't need this passive, you can take a few points off and then place it on Deadly Venom.

  1. Innervation - 3 Skill Points

This build is all about repositioning and moving around to crowd enemies together. Innervation is a good way to make sure that you always have enough Energy to use your Skill. The key to surviving as a Rogue is always going to be mobility, so you might as well benefit from it even more.

  1. Adrenaline Rush - 1 Skill Point

Only needed to get to the next passive.

  1. Haste - 3 Skill Points

Your Energy is going to fluctuate up and down with this build. It's good to make sure that you're going to get status buffs regardless of what state your Energy is in. When you're low on Energy, you can even use the extra Attack Speed to regenerate more Energy using Puncture.

  1. Close Quarters Combat - 1 Skill Point

The name itself should suggest that this is the best Key Passive for this build. Close Quarters Combat rounds out all of the bonuses of this build. It guarantees that you're going to get more Critical Strike Chance with the added attack speed bonus.

Gameplay

You can use Shadow Step to engage a pack, and then begin spamming Puncture before using Flurry. If you get in trouble during the process, you can wait for Shadow Step to cool down and then use it to swiftly move away.

With the Aspect of Encircling Blades equipped, it's very easy to start dealing more damage to enemies as all that needs to happen is for them to surround you. It's going to be an endless cycle of switching between Puncture and Flurry until the enemies are dealt with.

Since your Imbuements can only be used one at a time, you need to use each depending on the situation. Both Shadow and Ice Imbuement are perfect for dense mobs. Poison Imbuement is best reserved for single-target fights.

Aspects

For this build, make sure to get these Codex of Powers from their dungeons:

  • Aspect of Encircling Blades in Forsaken Quarry (Fractured Peaks)
  • Aspect of the Expectant in Underrot (Scosglen)
  • Cheat's in Luban's Rest (Scosglen)
  • Corruption in Renegade's Retreat (Kehjistan)
  • Disobedience in Halls of the Damned (Kehjistan)
  • Edgemaster's in Oldstones (Scosglen)
  • Eluding Aspect in Caldera Gate (Fractured Peaks)
  • Might in Dark Ravine (Dry Steppes)
  • Vengeful Aspect in Inferno (Kehjistan)
  • Wind Striker Aspect in Shivta Ruins (Kehjistan)

Although these are good Aspects already, you'll need to grind a bit more to maximize the damage and survivability of this gear. We highly recommend getting Condemnation, which is a Unique Gear for the Rogue. This increases your damage to closed-range enemies, and it enhances Flurry as well.

It will take a bit of luck, but you can farm for Condemnation through these enemies:

Family TypeDropsBest Region For Farming
BanditsDaggers, MacesKehjistan, Dry Steppes
SnakesPolearms, DaggersHawezar

Any dungeons that are abundant with these enemy types are going to be an excellent choice for farming Condemnation.

A Flurry For The Enemies

This Diablo 4 Rogue endgame build is fast-paced, fun, and definitely effective. The extra effort you'll take in farming for Condemnation will go a long way into making this build work even better. Once you master the build's high-risk and high-reward gameplay, you're sure to take it with you until the season ends.
