Leaf is one of the best early game Runewords and is commonly used throughout Normal Difficulty. It is one of the key options for speedrunning. It is important to note that the +3 to Fire Skills stat does not refer to the Sorceress Only skill tab and applies to all Fire-based character skills.

Interestingly, Leaf is not commonly used on Sorceresses as they do more damage with Charged Bolt or Nova. It is most useful on Assassins up to level 24 who use Fire Blast and Wake of Fire before lightning sentry becomes available. Similarly, most druids will opt to level using Firestorm and Fissure.

Leaf runes should be picked up while running Normal Countess for Stealth.
