OSRS Konar Guide

The Slayer Skill is one of the best and most rewarding skills in OSRS. If you've been paying attention throughout the game, you'll know that the Skill will give you access to a ton of challenging fights in the game. With the help of Konar the Hunter, you'll have even more challenging tasks ahead of you.

OSRS Konar

Konar quo Maten, known as Konar the Hunter, can be found as a Slayer master in the Kahlith settlement atop Mount Karuulm. To receive Slayer tasks from her, you must have a combat level of at least 75. She stands out as the only Slayer master who can assign hydras as a task.

While Konar isn't the most prestigious Slayer master in the game, she's the one who can give you the third most points per task. As such, it's always worth it giving her your time of day while playing OSRS. Here's her points breakdown in a table.

Where To Find Konar In OSRS?

Getting to Konar isn't that hard. However, you might still want to know what directions to take to get to her.

The teleport from Rada's blessing 3 or 4 transports players directly to the peak of Mount Karuulm. You can access it by heading north from the CIR fairy ring, north of the Farming Guild teleport available on the Skills necklace/Farming cape, or north of the Battlefront teleport.

When attempting to reach Konar via the NPC Contact spell, it's important to note that she isn't initially accessible this way. You must first engage her in conversation using the "Talk-to" option before she becomes an option through NPC Contact. The right-click "Assignment" option will not unlock her in NPC contact.

Konar Slayer Tasks

What makes Konar's Slayer tasks more unique compared to other slayer masters is that these also include a specific location wherein you need to complete the entire task.

Once Konar rolls a task for you, another roll determines the specific location where she expects you to complete your assignment. This additional roll considers any prerequisites, such as quest completions, necessary for accessing certain areas. If you haven't met the required criteria for a particular location, you won't receive a task directing you there. For example, if you haven't finished the Song of the Elves quest, you won't be offered waterfiends at the Iorwerth Dungeon; completing the quest unlocks this potential location.

The likelihood of being assigned to a specific location is equal for each eligible area, except for the Wilderness, unless it's part of a boss task assigned by Krystilia, who specializes in that region.

Boss monsters located within the assigned area also contribute to your task. For example, if Konar assigns hellhounds at Taverley Dungeon, you have the option to defeat Cerberus instead of the typical hellhounds.

As a reward for slaying the assigned monsters at Konar's specified location, you have the chance to receive a brimstone key, which can be used to unlock the brimstone chest located next to her.

It's essential to note that while the slayer cape perk offers a 10% chance of being reassigned the same monster for your task, the assigned location may vary from the previous task. Additionally, in the case of boss tasks, the boss Konar assigns can also differ, contrary to previous expectations.
