What Is Skotizo ?

Skotizo is a boss monster that resides in the Catacombs of Kourend.

Why Should You Kill Skotizo ?

There are two main reasons why you might want to kill Skotizo. First one is for completing collection logs and combat achievements. Those combat achievements are:

• Demonic Weakening: Kill Skotizo with no altars active.
• Demonbane Weaponry: Kill Skotizo with a demonbane weapon equipped.
• Skotizo Champion: Kill Skotizo once.
• Skotizo Adept: Kill Skotizo 5 times.
• Demon Evasion: Kill Skotizo without taking any damage.
• Up for the Challenge: Kill Skotizo without equipping a demonbane weapon.
• Precise Positioning: Kill Skotizo with the final source of damage being a Chinchompa explosion.

 Second one is that it has a guaranteed drop of ancient shards which are used to charge the arclight and it also has a guaranteed drop of a hard clue scroll. If you are looking to farm hard clues, Skotizo is the way to go. Aside from these Skotizo also drops good amount of alchables each kill has a estimated worth of 172K

Skotizo Guide

Skotizo is a boss monster that cannot be constantly farmed as it requires you to have a dark totem for each kill. To get a dark totem, you will need to kill monsters in the catacombs and combine the 3 pieces you get. Skotizo also counts as a black demon and greater demon so if you have a slayer task you can use your slayer helmet to get the extra damage boost. Skotizo is also immune to rings of recoil. 

Skotizo only has 4 mechanics/attacks:

1. Magic Attack: If you are out of melee reach of Skotizo he will always attack you with a magic attack. Simple pray protect from magic to avoid taking damage.
2. Melee Attack: If you are within the melee range of Skotizo he will also start using melee attacks. However he will randomly switch between magic and melee.
3. Eye Balls: There are 4 pillars in total in the boss room, each one standing in the middle of a wall on each side. During the fight eyes will spawn on top of the pillars which will make Skotizo resistant to attacks. If all four of them are active Skotizo will be invulnerable. To deal with this, always make sure that 2 of these eyes are dead.
4. Demon Spawns: During the fight Skotizo will summon a few demonlings to attack you. If you have high defence you can simply ignore these if you are taking a lot of damage from them you can kill them as well.

Melee Setup

The best weapon to use against Skotizo is the Arclight since it has a demonbane passive effect. This weapon also one shots the eyeballs that spawn, saving you time. The list below will just be an example, you can upgrade or downgrade any gear according to your bank and account.

• Slayer Helmet/Neitiznot faceguard
• Amulet of torture
• Infernal/Fire cape
• Bandos chestplate
• Bandos tassets
• Arclight
• Avernic defender
• Any blessing

• Primordial boots
• Brimstone ring
• Dragon warhammer (for special attack)

• Slayer helmet (i)/Armadyl helmet

• Dragon arrows/Dragon darts
• Barrows gloves
• Pegasian boots
• Archers ring  (i)
• Dragon warhammer/Arclight (for special attack) 

Inventory

• Divine bastion/Divine super combat
• Arclight (depending on what you use to destroy the eye balls.)
• A teleport out
• 2 - 3 prayer potions
• Dark totem
• Stamina potion
• Rest is food

Killing Skotizo

1. Pot up and use your dark totem to start the fight. Protect from magic and start hitting the boss. If you have a dragon warhammer use your special attacks. If not, an arclight special attack is also fine.
2. Ignore or kill the demonlings that the boss spawns.
3. Kill two eyeballs whenever they spawn.
