Pride is primarily used as an Act II Mercenary weapon. While the weapon itself does not deal a lot of damage, Level 20 Concentration Aura adds +345% Enhanced Damage for the party which is a huge boost for physical damage characters. 

In single player, Pride is not a very popular choice since Decrepify from The Reaper’s Toll will result in higher overall damage. However, in parties where Amplify Damage is available (and there is no Hammerdin), Pride has an opportunity to shine. Some characters such as Summoners and Bowazons who use Atma’s Scarab may also choose to use Pride. It should be noted that Summoners usually make an Iron Golem out of their Pride rather than equip it directly to their mercenary in order to reduce the chance that monsters will freeze and shatter.
