This is one of the best Bounty Hunter builds in OSRS right now. However, you'll have to work for it as you'll first have to get the Morrigan's equipment set from the Bounty Hunter Store. Completing the set will require a total of 1,500 coins. It's tough work but once you get it, you'll have a PK set for the ages.

Getting the corrupted version of Morrigan's Set is going to take even more effort. You'll first need to convert all of Morrigan's pieces via the Corrupted Warrior's inside Daimon's Crater. Aside from having better defenses, wearing a complete set of Morrigan's corrupted gear also gives you a total Ranged bonus accuracy of 15%.

Next, the most important part of the build is an imbued dark bow. This has a +105 Ranged Attack. For this bow, make sure to bring dragon arrows for max hit as these have extra damage using this type of ammunition. You can use the Dragon thrownaxe as a secondary weapon as well but eventually, you'd want to buy the Morrigan's Javelins from the shop and use those instead.

A Ranged tanking build is always a deadly combination in OSRS and in PKing in particular. What makes this even more special are the attack speed and ranged attack bonuses that you can trigger while wearing the complete set. The buffs to these items last year have resulted in one of the most broken builds in the game.

Again, this build is going to center on using one of the armor sets that you can find within the Bounty Hunter Store. This time, it's the Statius' set, alongside the Statius' Warhammer. What's good about the build is that it's low-level. That means you'll ahve to focus on getting the Statius' gear first.

This is one of the craziest low-level builds for Bounty Hunter that you've ever seen. It has one Sttack, 99 Strength and 20 Defense with a very low 69 Hitpoints making it only 58 combat level. This means you'll be fighting off against players with potentially low defenses while you're out there dealing major damage.

Statius Hammer's requirement is only 75 Strength allowing the account to be one Attack which pairs extremely well with a full corrupted status that gives 15% bonus when it comes to accuracy on special attacks. What's better is that it will only require 20 Defense to wear.

Although this build does deal amazing damage, it's still quite risky considering that you're going to have low defenses. However, you can hit many enemies in Bounty Hunter using this build as well. With proper timing and understanding of the range of the hammer, you can be very devastating with this build.

This build is almost similar to the setup above. The major difference is that instead of Statius armor, you're going to use Vesta's armor instead which includes the chainbody and plateskirt. The gameplay remains the same as the above build.

Soulreaper Axe Pure

Key Items:
  • Head: Statius' Full Helm
  • Weapon: Soulreaper Axe
  • Body: Vesta's Chainbody
  • Legs: Vesta's Plateskirt

Before anything else, this build works with either the Statius' set or Vesta's set. Any of the two will work so just use one that fits what you currently have.

The Soulreaper Axe is regarded as a bad weapon by many players but it's been recently discovered that it can be the star of a devastating Pure build used for Bounty Hunter and other PvP content. Taking advantage of the corrupted versions of the Bounty Hunter shop items will put the Soulreaper Axe to good use.

Due to the weapon's 80 Attack and 80 Strength requirement, you'll need to do a bit of legwork to get this weapon. You'll need to combine 4 items for the axe. The items are rare drops from The Leviathan, The Whisperer, Vardovis, and Duke Sucellus, plus 2,000 blood runes.

What makes the Soulreaper Axe special is that it deals 8 points of damage to you each time you hit an enemy. The trade-off is that you're getting a Soul Stack along the way as well. You can have up to 5 Soul Stacks, which in turn increases your Strength by a total of 30%. Partner this with the defensive capabilities of either the Vesta's set or the Statius' set and you become an unstoppable force in Bounty Hunter.

On the one hand, this weapon will require a bit of offensiveness on your end so make sure to be as aggressive as possible to avoid losing your Soulstacks.

Low-Level Builds (Combat Level 50-70)

The above builds are currently some of the best for Bounty Hunter but let us expand your options with even more builds. These builds below will cater to a variety of levels so you have lots of options to choose from.

1. Range Pure (Level 50-60)

  • Head: Coif / Robin Hood Hat (if affordable)
  • Cape: Ava's Accumulator
  • Neck: Amulet of Glory / Amulet of Power
  • Weapon: Magic Shortbow (i) with Rune Arrows / Dorgeshuun Crossbow with Bone Bolts
  • Body: Leather Body / Black D'hide Body (if 40 Defense)
  • Shield: None
  • Legs: Leather Chaps / Black D'hide Chaps (if 40 Defense)
  • Gloves: Combat Bracelet
  • Boots: Snakeskin Boots / Climbing Boots
  • Ring: Ring of Recoil
  • Ammo: Rune Arrows / Bone Bolts
Inventory:
  • Ranging Potions
  • Sharks or Monkfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Teleport Tabs (Varrock, Lumbridge)
  • Rune Pouch (for teleport runes)

This build purely focuses on dealing damage from afar. As you may have noticed, a lot of the builds for Bounty Hunter are mostly either Ranged or Magic. That's because it's a lot easier to manage your health and damage during Bounty Hunter. For low level players, this is a very affordable build to try out.

The setup above tries to maximize your damage output and keep your defenses at a minimum. This is important as it will help you retain your Combat Level at reasonable ranges. What this does is it helps you deal the most damage in a combat level range that's not way out of your reach.

The items focus on giving you the best-ranged bonuses available and it's actually more focused on Strength as well. There's a good balance of both mobility and defense so you can always have the opportunity to get in and out of trouble effectively. The most suitable playstyle for this build is to make sure you're dealing quick and high-damage ranged attacks, while repositioning.

2. Granite Maul Pure (Level 60-70)

  • Head: Iron Full Helm / Mithril Full Helm
  • Cape: Fire Cape / Ardougne Cloak 1
  • Neck: Amulet of Glory / Amulet of Power
  • Weapon: Granite Maul / Rune Knives or Dragon Dagger (p++) for special attacks
  • Body: Monk's Robe Top / Iron Platebody
  • Shield: None
  • Legs: Ghostly Robe Bottom / Iron Platelegs
  • Gloves: Combat Bracelet
  • Boots: Climbing Boots
  • Ring: Ring of Recoil
  • Ammo: None / Runes for Ice Blitz if using Magic
Inventory:
  • Strength Potions
  • Sharks or Monkfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Rune Pouch (for Ice Blitz runes)
  • Teleport Tabs

While ranged builds are a favorite for Bounty Hunter players, there are still a lot of melee options for those that really want to go up close and personal in Bounty Hunter. For low level builds, we highly suggest this one above as it's very easy to use and is very easy to complete due to the low level requirements.

The star of this build is none other than the Granite Maul which can deal high damage via its special attack. If you don't have access to this weapon yet, you can opt for either the Rune Knives or the Dragon Dagger. Regardless if you pick these weapons, you're still going to use the same gear as above.

Gameplay-wise, this build will task you with focusing mainly on dealing high burst damage using the Granite Maul's special attack. You'll have to be extra aggressive as the attack does have a short range. Given the chaotic nature of the Bounty Hunter minigame however, you can easily find a nearby target all the time.

Mid-Level Builds (Combat Level 70-90)

Next up, we've got mid-level builds. While these are certainly harder to set up, they're all very worth it in the end. It's recommended that you farm for Bounty Hunter Coins in the lower combat levels but if you really have no choice, then it's definitely time to pick one of these builds.

1. 70 Defence Range Tank (Level 80-90)

  • Head: Karil's Coif / Verac's Helm
  • Cape: Ava's Assembler
  • Neck: Amulet of Fury / Amulet of Glory
  • Weapon: Armadyl Crossbow / Rune Crossbow with Dragon Bolts (e)
  • Body: Karil's Leathertop
  • Shield: Odium Ward / Dragonfire Shield
  • Legs: Karil's Leatherskirt
  • Gloves: Barrows Gloves
  • Boots: Ranger Boots / Snakeskin Boots
  • Ring: Archer's Ring (i)
  • Ammo: Dragon Bolts (e)
Inventory:
  • Super Ranging Potions
  • Sharks or Anglerfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Rune Pouch (for Vengeance runes)
  • Teleport Tabs

Once again, we're going to do a Ranged build. You can see this as a major upgrade from the Range Pure Build above. The focus is on maximizing the damage you deal with while making sure that this time, you have high defenses as well. This makes you very dangerous from afar while having the capacity to take in a few hits once enemies get to you.

The primary focus of this build is to still do as much damage from afar as possible. As such, the gear is centered on providing the best-ranged bonuses as well. We highly suggest going for the Armadyl Crossbow as it has the best damage output compared to other options out there but the Rune Crossbow is still a decent choice.

For playstyle, this build benefits mostly from aggressiveness. What this means is that you should constantly move around and angle yourself to find enemies that are currently busy fighting others. You can steal a few kills from others with this build thanks to the excellent damage it has.

2. Barrows Pure (Level 85-90)

  • Head: Torag's Helm
  • Cape: Fire Cape / Ardougne Cloak 3
  • Neck: Amulet of Fury / Amulet of Glory
  • Weapon: Abyssal Whip / Dragon Dagger (p++) for special attacks
  • Body: Dharok's Platebody / Torag's Platebody
  • Shield: Dragon Defender / Rune Defender
  • Legs: Dharok's Platelegs / Torag's Platelegs
  • Gloves: Barrows Gloves
  • Boots: Dragon Boots
  • Ring: Berserker Ring (i)
  • Ammo: None
Inventory:
  • Super Combat Potions
  • Sharks or Anglerfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Rune Pouch (for Vengeance runes)
  • Teleport Tabs

This build primarily focuses on high attack and strength, combined with excellent defense to boot. In most scenarios, this build can effectively make short work of enemies that you're able to close the distance in. What's great is that the defensive bonuses of this setup protect you from various types of damage.

First off, Torag's Helm gives you excellent defense and is easily one of the non-negotiable items on this setup. YOU MUST get this as it provides most of the defenses that this build brings to the table. Next to it, you should prioritize the Amulet of Fury or Glory for extra attack and defense bonuses.

As for weapons, you're going to want to use the Abyssal Whip for the best damage possible at this level. The Dragon Dagger provides good damage thanks to its attack speed but the whip offers more damage in the long run. As this build is purely melee, you'll need to learn to be aggressive but with the tankiness of the build, it's not that hard to pull off.

High-Level Builds (Combat Level 90+)

If you're at this point in the game, you're likely doing Bounty Hunter for fun and to get the last few remaining rewards from the shop. Things get more competitive at the higher combat levels which is why you'll need to be very particular when it comes to the build you're going to use.

1. Maxed Pure (Level 90-100)

  • Head: Slayer Helmet (i) / Serpentine Helm
  • Cape: Ava's Assembler / Fire Cape
  • Neck: Amulet of Fury / Amulet of Torture
  • Weapon: Armadyl Godsword / Granite Maul for special attacks / Toxic Blowpipe
  • Body: Black D'hide Body
  • Shield: None
  • Legs: Black D'hide Chaps
  • Gloves: Barrows Gloves
  • Boots: Climbing Boots / Ranger Boots
  • Ring: Berserker Ring (i) / Ring of Recoil
  • Ammo: Amethyst Arrows / Mithril Darts / Dragon Bolts (e)
Inventory:
  • Super Combat Potions
  • Anglerfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Runes for Ice Barrage/Vengeance
  • Teleport Tabs

This build is rather risky. As compared to the other builds we've suggested, this one is mainly focused on ramping up your damage as high as possible, while keeping your defense levels to a minimum. As the build itself is purely melee, this means you'll be exposed to many dangers as well.

To put it simply, this build is a high-risk, high-reward one that you should only consider if you're confident in your mastery of combat in OSRS. The use of the Armadyl Godsword means that you'll have a very high hit but your attack speed is going to suffer immensely as the trade-off.

Before using this build, we highly suggest testing it out in the Wilderness area first. Keep in mind that you won't be able to tank enemies as effectively as with the other builds out there so you might have problems against those that have a high defensive bonus against melee attacks.

2. 70 Defence Hybrid (Level 100+)

  • Head: Void Knight Helm (Ranged / Melee)
  • Cape: Ava's Assembler
  • Neck: Amulet of Torture / Occult Necklace (if using Magic)
  • Weapon: Abyssal Tentacle / Armadyl Crossbow / Kodai Wand
  • Body: Ahrim's Robetop / Void Knight Top (for melee/ranged)
  • Shield: Dragonfire Shield / Odium Ward / Spirit Shield
  • Legs: Karil's Leatherskirt / Void Knight Robe (for melee/ranged)
  • Gloves: Barrows Gloves
  • Boots: Eternal Boots / Dragon Boots
  • Ring: Berserker Ring (i) / Seers' Ring (i) / Archer's Ring (i)
  • Ammo: Dragon Bolts (e) / Runes for Blood Barrage
Inventory:
  • Super Combat Potions
  • Anglerfish
  • Saradomin Brews
  • Runes for Vengeance/Blood Barrage
  • Teleport Tabs

This build offers more in terms of versatility. You can easily switch between melee, ranged, and magic combat depending on what you're most used to or what fits your current situation the best. The ranged accuracy bonus and the ammo conservation make the range the best combat type for this build.

What's great about this build is that the defensive bonuses are excellent as well. Even if enemies get the jump on you or if they're able to close the gap without you noticing, you can still easily tank a few hits up until you kill them first or if you need to take a step back to heal.

The problem with this build is that since it's balanced, you don't have any major advantages over your enemies and their preferred combat type. You can make a few tweaks to the gear to make it lean towards a certain combat type more but at the end of the day, you're still not getting the max damage possible.

Take On Bounty Hunter

At the end of the day, you can still create a build that's more suitable for what you currently have. Since players are most likely copying meta builds elsewhere, there's a good chance that you'll need to take inspiration from the builds above. These have been tried and tested so they're worth checking out.
